" Good morning sir , I'm Alankrita , new employee .. who got transferred from Chennai ! "
That was when I saw his face !
I was shocked ..
Manager : Surprise ! Enna marandhutiya Alankrita ?
" Vishwa ? Ne epdi inga .. I mean , nee dhan inga manager ah ?"
Vishwa was my colleague , to be honest he proposed me twice before me rejecting it , as I was in love with Ashwin ! Now this was totally unexpected .. only god knows .. kadavule en ipdi set panirkinga ð£!!!!!
Vishwa : Yeas , na dhan unnoda manager . I knew , ne dhan join panna pora nu .. adhukagave seekrama vandhen !
" Oh ... Anyway , I would like to join now , sir "
Vishwa : Oh , please ! Call me Vishwa .. apo dhan unala join panna mudiyum !
" Office le irukra elarum ungala sir nu dhana koopdanum ? Adhane rules ? "
Vishwa : Office le irukra elarum , neeyum onna ? . You're special !
God !! He hasn't changed yet .. I don't know what on earth is going to happen . Its not going to work .. I've to say him that I'm married .. when I was about to open my mouth .. I heard a knock
It was the receptionist .
" Sir , our new employee's documents "Â she kept the file on the table saying this .
Vishwa : Okay Alankrita .. You may join now .. officially you're now the employee of Oracle ! He said signing the papers
" Thankyou sir , I'll do my job to the best!"
I said and stormed out of the cabin !
I didn't know what to do . I was worried . Just then a notification ping my phone ! It was my Ashwin !
' Hey rowdy ... Don't you worry .. All the best .. keep rocking ' ð¥°
My face instantly turned into a smile .. only he can make changes in me !
I decided to work hard , to show my passion in the job .
It was past 5 in the evening , which means I can check-out of my office now !
Phew .. I turned my device off , took my phone and bag and rushed out .
It was a hectic day . I wanted to run to my home and be in my husband's embrace , afterall that is where my home is ! But what to do , he won't be there when I reach !
I reached my home , to find Ashwin sitting on the couch . I was surprised .. he came before me?
" Adhukulla vandhutingala ? "
Ashwin : Hey , vandhutiya ma .. Illa .. I'm working from home , perks of being a CEO ð !
" Lucky you ! "ð
Ashwin : Seri sollu , how was your first day at work ??
I sat on the couch along with him and settled myself in his embrace .
Ahhh!!!! I felt heaven at last .. after a tiring day .. you only need a person with you to ask ' how was your day '
" Romba velai ma , first day nu kooda paakama avlo vela kuduthutanga "
I said like a baby , extending my hands . I said everything excluding Vishwas's presence alone ! I don't want any insecurities in the starting stage of our relationship .But I will disclose it definitely , some day !
Ashwin : Achoo , that's okay .. poga poga seri ayidum .. seri saaptiya ?
" Yea , lunch saapten .. aana ipo again pasikudhu !!! "
Ashwin : Seri ready aagu , I have a surprise .
" Nooo .. enaku romba tired uh iruku .. we'll order in and watch something ! "
Ashwin : Please ... I swear you'll love it .. Enakaaga varamatiya?
Now , how can I say no to this !!! He knows my weakness !
" Enaala no solla mudiyathu nu therinju dhana ipdi kekringa ? "
He grinned widely . I pinched his nose and went to get ready , for the first night out in Mumbai !!
It was already 7. 00 pm when we stepped out of our house . I was so excited for our night out .. I was waiting for him to take our car out from the parking , but he came there walking towards me .
" Enaachu , car edukalaya ?"
Ashwin : Namma car la pola ...
" Aprm ?"
Ashwin : Vaa solren ..
We walked for few minutes .. I blindly followed him , as I was not familiar with the routes though it's been one week ð !
The streets were so crowded that time . God ! Mumbai never sleeps !!! Soon , we reached a place which seemed to be more crowded than the streets outside !
It was the local metro station ...
" Train la poroma ?"Â I was dumb stuck
Ashwin : Yeas .. night time train le poirukiya ?
" Na night le veliya ponadhe ila , idhula train le vere poirukiya nu kekringa 𥺠"
Ashwin : Seri , adhan Na kootitu poren le , vaa ! Epdi idhuvum un bucket list le irukra wish dhane ??
" Ashwineyy , unmaiya sollunga .. idhelam epdi ungaluku theriyum ?"
Ashwin : Time varumbo solren!
Ivaru solra veraikum , en manda dhan vedikkum , epdi aachu pottu vaangidalam , I thought in my mind ..
but brushed it off as it was yet another wish in my bucket list being checked off !
He took the tickets and got in the less crowded compartment , which had a minimum of 30 people ! We stood near the door of the train , holding on the railing on the side ..
The train sped off from the station within minutes . The fast wind which dashed my face , made me exhale all the burdens out of my heart . I saw the world outside , people were running behind something , all had their own works and responsibilities .
I personally felt everyone should take a break and spend some quality time with something they love to do , as I'm in the train right now .
The children who were playing on the streets seemed to have no worries in their faces . All they felt as a problem was , their parents calling them back to home while they were playing .
The vendors of the market were in a hevay competition that who would sell their products first , with the secret talent they possess , bargaining .
People seemed to buy things from the shops which had offers ! Girls in the town were interested in buying all the cosmetics and accessories , where as boys found happiness in the bike rides and race ..
The aroma of street food kept changing as we crossed stations ..
My thoughts shook away when Ashwin asked me
" Pudichurka ?"
" I never knew train rides at night would be this beautiful ! " I said with a smile , which made him smile more !
Ashwin : I'm happy that you loved it !
Soon we got down at the station , Colaba !
It was dark by the time we reached there , but the streets remained the same .. crowded.
We took an autorickshaw . He still didn't say me where we're heading to .. but I was too busy enjoying the ride and forgot to ask him .
Soon we reached the place with a few people .
I'm relaxed to feel the cool breeze and less crowded area . I got down , only to realise we were in the marine drive .
A 3.6 kilometre long road with the waves alongside .
I ran happily and took a place at the stone benches carved at the corners . As it was getting late , we could see people moving away .. but we insisted on staying , watching the beautiful sight .
There were boat rides still going through .
We both sat in silence . When you are with the person whom you love , even silence seems so beautiful . He broke the silence again ..
" I've another surprise for you ! "
" Innuma ?" I asked ..
He nodded
" Ennadhu ????"
I was getting hyper as I couldn't control my emotions when someone says there's a surprise .
He pointed his index finger behind me , indicating to look back . I was confused and looked back .
There were two cycles !
Ashwin : Kya aap , raath mein Mumbai coastal cycle tour anubhav kiya hain ?
( Have you experienced Mumbai coastal cycle tour at night ?)
" Ashwin , are you serious ??? Cycle tour ... That too in marine drive ?????? "
Ashwin : Aama ma ... He was grinning widely
" You're the best , Ashwineyy " saying this I jumped over him for a teddy hug ! He took me up easily , giving a tight hug !
We soon took the cycles and started our journey . The night cold breeze of the beach waters hit our faces as we rode swiftly .
We even started a race inbetween . I laughed my heart out , while riding . The roads were now deserted .. we had ample space to ride the cycle .
He followed me like a teenage lover boy when I rode fast ...
I looked at him at times , it showed love , only for me.. The kid inside him is pure as his love ! I promised myself that I should never let anything harsh happen to him , I would do any damn thing in this world to keep this baby happy!!!
After an hour of beautiful ride , we came back to the place where we started .
He then took me to Bademiya , to have a finger licking , scrumptious food !
Street foods at night are healers !
We ordered Aloo paratha , butter chicken, Gobi manchurian , pav bhaji and parsi aukri ..
My taste buds relished the exotic dinner after a long time ..
After a while , we decided to head home with heavy tummies ..
" Ashwineyy "
Ashwin : Sollu ma ..
" Thankyou .. enaku ipo romba sandhoshama iruku "
Ashwin : Ahaan .. but you can thank me in different ways too !
I knew he's teasing me and decided to play along ...
" Vere epdi solradhu ? "
Ashwin : Ne sollave venam .. va polam ð
I loved to see this ' baby side ' of him .. and I knew how to calm him down !
But the mere thought of doing it made my heart beat to rise .. I felt nervous , but I couldn't see him hurt ...
With all my confidence , I spoke in a single breath ...
" Ashwin , kiss me under the light of a thousand stars .. "
I could see his brown orbs being widened .. it portrayed his love towards me ..
He neared me , my small face set perfectly in his large hands , our heads tilted and our lips sealed ..
The constellations and the full moon sky made our kiss , feel eternal !
The kiss was an assurance of our love .. we kissed until we were satisfied ! It showed my importance in his life and his in my life ..
We parted ..
Ashwin : I never knew you could thank me in such a beautiful way !
I couldn't utter a word after that .. I was too shy to face him ..
The journey back to home seemed to be very short , because I dozzed off ð .
We reached home , jumped on to the bed and slept with contentment , awaiting for yet another beautiful day in our lives !!!
