“How are you feeling, Princess?”

“Like shit, Thomas.”

“Good, it’s you.”

“Do you really think that bitch who is using my identity would have to be locked and drugged by Vampires.”

“Still. Maybe that stupid bitch could have tricked herself. She would have totally deserved that. Who will be the first person we will get ou revenge?” He asks.

“Seriously!?”

“Better safe than sorry.” He shrugs.

“I was bitten, drugged, tortured. This is not enough to prove it’s really me.”

I look at his face and I know it’s not.

I sigh: “Fine! Kaiden for making us pee in our bed.”

He sighs relieved: “Good to have you back.”

“I hate you!”

He smiles cockily: “We both know you love me!”

“Yeah, in moments like that I’m really asking myself why.”

“Because I will always be by your side and I’m not scared to tell you the truth. By the way, you stick so you should take a shower.”

"By the way, why you didn't hide your true self?" I ask him.

"Because I wanted to make sure your parents knew it was me."

"Why?" I ask surprised.

"I will explain later. Go take your shower you really need one." He says pinching his nose.

“Yeah, and if both can stop acting like we’re not here. It would be nice.” Asher complains.

“Sorry, let me take a shower and burn my clothes. And we can speak.”

Actually I was so tired that I went for a nap right after my shower.

We are in the living room, drinking tea, and eating the cake that Asher has baked for us.

“So what happened? We are training for months now how was he able to bite you?” Tom asks and I know he’s not happy with me.

“He poisoned my drink before to attack me.”

“How? You told us the taste of Adonit Meladrona is strong and disgusting.” Asher says.

“I don’t know what it was but it’s didn’t have any taste.”

“This is bad! That means you can be poisoned at any time and without knowing it. Or realizing it too late.” Lana says.

“ I know! This can’t keep going. We have to stop this now!” I reply frustrated.

“We are looking for months now and we still don’t have a clear idea of who and why?” Asher says.

“Maybe it’s time to trap them with a bait big enough to push them to take action.” Lana proposes.

“That’s a really good idea. We will be in control and we will meet them in our terms.” Tom says.

“Yes! They’re tarnished you long enough. It’s time to end this! But how?” Asher adds.

“By giving them what they want: a chance to announce I’m stepping down.” I tell them.

“Yes, that would work for sure. But how?” Tom says.

“I need to fight with my parents and make sure people hear us. If I lose their support, the plotters will think they are winning. The thing is how can I convince them without people knowing that we met.” I think out loud.

“Maybe I can help with your plan.” Noah says a the entrance of the living room, making all jump and Lana throwing him away. At least trying as he blocks her attacks.

“Nice try but I’m ready this time.” He tells her.

“Why are you doing all of this!?” Asher says putting Lana in his back to protect her. Gamma’s instincts.

“Someone is also usurping my identity.” He says.

“Why would someone use your identity?” Tom says his eyes turning black. He is furious that Noah tried to kill him.

“To hurt her even more, and to hide their true identity. To be sure this can’t happen. I mean us working together.” Noah explains.

“There is no us. And how did you find us?” I ask him.

“This is big and you need all the help you can have. They used against us the fact I was ignoring you. This is my fault, I need to fix it.”

“How did you find us?” I ask again. We need to know if there is a breach in our security.

“You will not like the answer Sunshine. I follow the mate pull.” He smirks.

I roll my eyes, cocky bastard!

“Tom, please. You know me. I’m stupid and I’m an asshole but you’re my family and my best friend I would have never try to kill you. You have to know that deep down.” He says directly looking at Tom.

"I don't know my wolf recognized you, and even with magic you can't fake that." Tom replies.

"Your wolf recognized a member of his family. It's not the same."

"So you're accusing one of our member's family."

"I don't know. Even for me, it seems crazy. I just know it was not me."

"How do you know all of these?" Asher asks suspiciously.

"He spied in one of them, on their memories." Lana replies. Noah just looks at the floor is the only confirmation I need.

"WHAT!? WHO?" I scream horrified.

"I'm going to kill you!" Tom says walking toward Noah, his eyes black and in claws out. I stop him before he does something he will regret later.

"Calm down. Let's go for a run." I propose to him. He nods and we are going out.

"Why this is so tiring?" Tom asks me when we arrive back at the house. We are on the patio.

"Because you're not a full Lycan yet. It will change after the mating. You don't know how it makes me happy that you've accepted the bond. It means so much." I tell him, happiness radiating from me.

"I know! I was stupid to wait." He says with a shy smile.

"Are you blushing, Thomas." I tease him.

"Fuck you, princess."

I laugh at him.

"On a serious matter. I was thinking while we were running."

"Oh, He is not only built like a god he also has a brain." I tease him again.

"I know. I'm just perfect. Sorry, I know how difficult is it to leave with me as you will ever happen to my ankle." He replies with a cocky smile.

I laugh and shake my head:" So you were thinking?"

"Noah can be a huge asset for us. Nobody will expect him to be on your side."

"So you're believing him when he says it's not him."

"I don't know but the Noah I know would never have tried to kill me. I'm sure of that. Also, the one who is using his identity would have to get rid of him once you're out of the picture. So if they were a way to push them to get rid of you at the same time, it would be great. He could "kidnap you" the time for you usurper to announce that you're stepping down. They know he can neutralize you for a few hours."

"This is a good idea! If I'm out it will push them to act. And if we can trust him he will not neutralize me and we will be able to expose that usurper."

"That an excellent idea! Since the beginning, they are using the fact I'm avoiding you while I'm your mate, against us. We just have to push to use it again one more time!” Noah says.

He is taking us by surprise again. Apparently, spying on us is one of his favorite pastimes!

“Can you stop to appear in surprise!” Tom says.

“Sorry!” Noah replies looking at his shoes.

“So you think it’s a good idea? You’re willing to help us.” Tom asks him.

“Yeah, this could totally work. They need to be stopped as soon as possible, anyway. You shouldn’t have let them act so long.” That asshole dares to say!

“Fuck you! We don’t need your judgment!” Tom replies offended too.

“It’s not what I wanted to say.”

“Oh, really and what did you want to say exactly?” I ask with sarcasm.

“I... Hmm... Nevermind! I’m quite sure that if I try to explain myself I will make it worst. And it’s exactly what I don’t want.”

“Okay... So what do we do?” Tom asks.

“You fight with your parents and I’m tricking the witch who is working with the usurper.” Nosh says looking at me.

“Okay, how do I contact them without making anybody suspicious?” I say.

“I have an idea. Let me deals with this part.” Tom tells me. I nod trusting him.

“Can I speak with Selina alone?” Noah asks.

“No!” Tom replies aggressively.

“I thought you believed me!”

“There is a difference between believing you’re not the one who tries to kill me and trusting you with her.”

“I have nothing to hide to Tom. What you have to tell me, you can tell in front of him.”

“I’m so sorry for everything I did to you.” He says looking sincere.

“Don’t you think it’s too late?” I ask him.

“I know. I’m the biggest asshole in the world and I just wish I would have realized that earlier. You don’t deserve what I put you through and believe me or not it wasn't against you. You’re so valuable for me.” He says with sadness.

He walks toward in hand getting up like he wants to touch me but he changes his mind when Tom growls at him. He sighs defeated.

“Know that your happiness is my first priority. I know You’re happy together and I will not interfere between you too. I’m the one to blame in that story.” He adds.

“I’m going now. Tell your witch friend to call me, when you need me.” He says before to disappear like it was never there.
