Jamuni came back to her present when she saw Jhilmil coming towards her.She was looking beautiful in her saree and looked at Jamuni with curiosity in her eyes,"Jamuni, what a pleasant surprise to have you among us after so many years, tell me what brought you here to this village?"Jamuni hugged her childhood friend as she disclosed the secret to her,"I have come here for the sake of true love which was missing in the noise of an overcrowded city, the city which never sleeps, which has time or patience required for the experience of true love!"Jhilmil teased her by saying,"I hope, you will not snatch away my true love as I know everything about your secret past affair with my husband, Jogya!"Jamuni blushed like a teenager and tried to hide her true feelings by lowering her gaze towards the ground.Suddenly, she felt her heart beating fast inside her chest which was galloping like a race horse on a race track.She heard the sweetest voice on this earth when Jogya said to her,"Is that you, Jamuni? Or have I reached heaven where old lovers meet each other after death!"Jamuni started crying as Jhilmil left two of them alone, for some time.Jogya asked her,"Why are you crying, I am still alive my dear, come and give me a warm hug!"Jamuni lifted her gaze as she wanted to see the beautiful face of her first love.He was looking more handsome in his mature look and laugh lines around his mouth!Jogya opened his arms and Jamuni hugged him like a lovesick teenager.He asked her,"Can I kiss you or your husband will kill me for my feelings for you?"Jamuni cried as she answered,"He might have killed you if he was as innocent as you are, my dear but he deceived me in the matters of love and now I safely keep a distance from anyone who claim to be my true love!"Jogya looked at her carefully, the crow's feet around her eyes were giving her a mature look. She was looking attractive and mesmerising as if her beauty has enhanced after acquiring the wisdom of this world.Jamuni was still wrapped around him like a warm coat, when Jogya asked her to sit down for a cup of hot tea and fritters.Jamuni relished the hot cup of tea like a hungry person who wanted to taste the real love after being duped by many con men who claimed to be her true love.Jogya asked her,"So, tell me about your husband. How did you meet each other, how many children do you have and how is your health?"Jamuni was surprised that Jogya knew about her health but she thought that it was a foolish idea to share everything with him on their first meeting after so many years.She told him,"Yes, I was lucky to have a loving husband like Neelesh, who loved me like no one else did in this world."Jogya wanted to know more, so he teased her by saying,"Did he truly love you more than me, I doubt!"Jamuni suppressed her deep feelings for Jogya as she told him,"No one could love me more than you, Jogya! This is the reason why I have come here to say goodbye!"Jogya was confused as he asked her,"Goodbye, but why? Are you going to a foreign country?"Jamuni came closer to him so that she could listen to his heart beat. She rested her head on his chest, as she said to him,"Yes, I am leaving this land and going somewhere else...."Jogya asked her,"Jamuni please don't do that! You know how much I love you. I can't even survive for a moment without you. How can you be so callous towards me? I will not let you go away anywhere, understand!"Jamuni kissed Jogya as her tears drenched his lips. He felt the warm drops of love on his face and he kissed her back forgetting everything about Jhilmil.Jhilmil saw them kissing and left her home in a hurry.She saw her sister Jharna and she hugged her like a little girl. Jogesh who was married to Jharna asked Jhilmil,"What happened to you, why are you crying?"Jhilmil told him between her sobs,"She has come back and now Jogya will never let her go away from his life!"Jogesh got confused so he asked her once again,"Who has come back, tell me, don't expect me to solve riddles for you!"Jhilmil told him,"Jamuni.... Jamuni has come back!"Jogesh was shocked as he asked her,"Wh..what, Jamuni is back after that horrific incident, how dare she set her foot in this village?"Jhilmil asked him,"Who will ask her to leave, my Jogya is completely under her love spell!"Jogya assured her by saying,"Don't worry about it, I am more than enough to break this spell!"Jharna asked Jhilmil,"Is she still beautiful or has she returned like an old woman?"Jhilmil made a face while answering her question,"She is a witch, and witches never age!"Jogesh asked Jhilmil,"I thought that Jogya has recovered from this illness called, "Love." Jhilmil asked him,"Have you recovered from this illness?"Jogesh pulled her closer to him as he kissed her on her lips while saying,"Jharna please leave us alone. Ok, now let me answer your question, no I will never recover from this illness because I got married to your sister as she was pregnant with her boyfriend's child who ran away after finding out about her condition but you had promised me that you will never deny me, my share of love for doing a favour for you by marrying your pregnant sister!"Jhilmil kissed him and said to him in a soft voice,"Thank you my knight in shining armour but do something to save my family's honour and my married life which has always been in as it is already in shambles and right now under great danger of falling apart!"
