As they arrived at the Malhotra mansion, the entire house was beautifully decorated. Noor was taken aback.
"What's all this?" she asked, glancing at Reyansh with curiosity.
Reyansh's mom smiled warmly, holding her hands. "This is to welcome you back, beta. The house felt incomplete without you, and now that you're here, it's time to celebrate."
Noor's heart swelled with emotion as she looked at everyone's smiling faces. For the first time in years, she felt at home again.
Rohan grinned mischievously and said, "You're lucky, Noor. I suggested we should throw you a welcome party with a theme, but bhai shut me down."
Reyansh shot Rohan a warning glare. "Not everyone wants your ridiculous party ideas, Rohan."
Rohan shrugged dramatically. "Still, I deserve credit for the decorations!"
Everyone laughed as Noor shook her head.
>
After settling in, Noor walked into her room-her and Reyansh's room. She noticed subtle changes Reyansh had made in her absence.
There were more of her favorite books on the shelves, new curtains in her favorite color, and a small photo frame with a picture of the two of them from happier times.
Reyansh walked in, leaning against the doorframe, watching her quietly.
"I wanted you to feel at home when you returned," he said softly.
Noor turned to him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "You've done so much for me, Ansh. I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive myself for doubting you."
Reyansh crossed the room and cupped her face gently. "Let's not dwell on the past anymore. All that matters is that we're together now. And I'll spend every day proving to you how much I love you."
Noor smiled through her tears, leaning into his touch. "I love you too."
>
The family gathered for dinner that night, filled with laughter and joy. Reyansh's mom couldn't stop praising Noor's cooking, especially the kheer she had made earlier.
"This is the Noor I remember," she said fondly. "Always taking care of everyone, always spreading happiness."
Reyansh smirked, leaning closer to Noor. "You really impressed them today. But don't forget, I'm still waiting for my special dessert."
Noor blushed, nudging him lightly under the table.
Rohan, oblivious to the undercurrent, chimed in, "Noor, I want another bowl of kheer too. Please?"
Everyone laughed as Noor served him more.
>
Later that night, after everyone had gone to bed, Reyansh and Noor sat on the balcony of their room, sipping tea and enjoying the cool breeze.
Reyansh reached over and held her hand. "Thank you for coming back, Noor. I can't imagine my life without you."
Noor looked at him with a soft smile. "I was meant to come back, Ansh. You're my home."
They sat there in comfortable silence, the stars above them twinkling brightly, a symbol of the brighter days ahead for them.
Their journey had been filled with ups and downs, but they both knew that as long as they were together, they could overcome anything.
The evening had deepened, casting a soft darkness over the room, a sanctuary of shadows and whispers.
Reyansh and Noor, having retreated to their private haven, found themselves entangled in a dance of desire.
The air, heavy with anticipation, crackled with the electricity of their touch.
"You've made this place feel like home," she whispered, her voice laced with emotion as she traced her fingers along the curve of his jaw.
The room, bathed in the warm glow of the bedside lamp, showcased the subtle changes he had made-a sanctuary tailored to her tastes.
"It's only complete with you in it," Reyansh replied, his voice a low rumble, as he gently tugged her closer, their bodies aligning in a familiar dance.
He breathed in the scent of her hair, a mixture of jasmine and something uniquely her, and felt the tension of the past days melting away.
Noor's eyes, like pools of dark chocolate, sparkled with a mixture of love and longing. "I've missed you," she confessed, her voice barely above a breath. "Even when I was here, I missed you."
"I know," he murmured, his thumb brushing away a stray tear that had escaped down her cheek. "I felt your absence in every room, in every breath."
Their lips met in a kiss that was both tender and fierce, a collision of passion and relief.
It was a kiss that spoke of their love, their connection, and the unspoken words that had lingered between them.
As their kiss deepened, hands roamed, exploring familiar territories with renewed fervor. The rustle of clothing filled the room as they undressed each other, layer by layer, revealing skin that had been hidden away for too long.
"I want to feel you," she whispered against his neck, her breath hot on his skin. "All of you."
Reyansh, his heart pounding in his chest, guided her to the bed, their sanctuary of pleasure.
The sheets, cool against their heated bodies, provided a canvas for their love. He positioned himself above her, his eyes never leaving hers, as he slowly lowered himself, capturing her lips in a kiss that was both gentle and demanding.
"I love you, Noor," he declared, his voice hoarse with desire. "I love every part of you."
She responded with a moan, a sound that was both surrender and encouragement. Her hands roamed over his back, tracing the contours of his muscles, as if committing his body to memory.
"Show me how much," she pleaded, her breath coming in short gasps.
He obliged, his kisses trailing down her neck, leaving a trail of fire in their wake.
His hands, skilled and reverent, explored her curves, eliciting a symphony of moans and sighs. Every touch, every caress, was a testament to their love, a language they spoke fluently.
"Anshh..." she breathed, her body arching towards him, seeking more.
He understood her unspoken plea, his fingers deftly unfastening the belt of his trousers.
"I want to give you everything," he whispered, his voice laced with a mixture of desire and uncertainty.
Noor, sensing his hesitation, reached up and cupped his face, her touch gentle and reassuring.
"I trust you," she said, her eyes locking with his. "Show me."
His heart, already in her possession, swelled with a mixture of love and determination. With gentle hands, he guided her, showing her the depths of his desire.
Their lips met again, a kiss that was both soft and urgent, as he slowly guided himself to her.
"Are you sure?" he asked, his voice a tremble as he hovered at the threshold.
Noor, her eyes glistening with a mixture of excitement and nerves, nodded, her hands pulling him closer. "I want you, all of you."
He breathed a sigh of relief, his body responding to her invitation. With a slow, deliberate movement, he entered her, their bodies becoming one.
A soft gasp escaped her lips, a mixture of pleasure and discomfort.
"Shh...it's okay," he whispered, his voice a soothing melody. "We'll go slow."
Their rhythm was a gentle dance, a slow build of pleasure and connection. Reyansh, attuned to her every response, moved with a grace that belied the intensity of their passion.
With each stroke, they fell deeper into a trance, their bodies communicating a language beyond words.
"Ahh, Anshh..." she sighed, her fingers digging into his shoulders, her back arching in response to his touch.
He quickened his pace, his breath coming in short gasps, as he felt her body tightening around him. "You feel so good," he groaned, his voice a raw, primal sound.
Their lovemaking became a symphony of moans and whispers, their bodies moving in perfect harmony. The bed creaked in rhythm with their passion, a silent witness to their love.
"I want to try something," she whispered, her voice laced with a mischievous tone. "If you're willing."
Reyansh, his eyes dark with desire, nodded, his body a willing participant in her desires. "Anything for you."
With a shy smile, she guided him, showing him a new position, one that exposed them both to a different kind of pleasure.
Their bodies, like pieces of a puzzle, fit together perfectly, creating a new rhythm, a new dance.
"Oh, yes..." she moaned, her voice a mixture of surprise and delight. "Like this, Ansh."
He obliged, his movements guided by her instructions, learning her body's language with each stroke.
The room echoed with their pleasure, a chorus of sighs and whispered words of love.
As the night wore on, they explored each other with a fervor that knew no bounds. Each position, each touch, was a discovery, a revelation of their love.
The moon, a silent observer, cast a silvery light through the window, illuminating their passion.
"I love the way you touch me," she whispered, her fingers tracing the scars on his back, a reminder of their shared past.
"And I love the way you surrender to me," he replied, his voice thick with emotion. "You make me feel whore, Noor."
"Whattt??" Noor asked completely shocked.
"Whole Noor whole." He corrected himself while thrusting deeper.
Noor shook her head digging her nails in his biceps.
Their lovemaking became a conversation, a sharing of secrets and desires.
With each revelation, their bond deepened, their love strengthening with every touch.
The night stretched on, a timeless expanse of pleasure and connection.
They explored each other's bodies with a hunger that defied fatigue, discovering new heights of ecstasy with each passing hour.
"I never want this night to end," she breathed, her body shimmering with a fine layer of sweat, her eyes sparkling with love.
"It won't," he promised, his voice a husky whisper. "Not as long as we're together."
Their final embrace was a culmination of their love, a fusion of bodies and souls.
As they climaxed together, a symphony of moans and cries filled the room, a testament to their passion.
In the aftermath, they lay entwined, their hearts still pounding in unison.
The silence that followed was not empty, but filled with the unspoken language of love.
"I love you, Ansh," she whispered, her voice soft and content.
"And I love you more, Noor," he replied, his lips brushing her forehead. "Always and forever."
As the first rays of dawn creized the sky, they fell into a deep slumber, their bodies intertwined, a physical manifestation of their unbreakable bond.
The room, now bathed in the soft light of morning, bore witness to the power of their love, a love that had endured and would continue to flourish in the days to come.
>
It had been a peaceful morning at the Malhotra mansion, but Noor's sudden wave of nausea disrupted her routine.
She rushed to the bathroom, her stomach churning violently.
Reyansh, who was reading the newspaper at the dining table, frowned when he noticed her absence.
"Noor? Are you okay?" he called out.
"I'm fine! Just a bit of indigestion," she shouted back, trying to sound normal.
Reyansh shrugged and continued reading, unaware of the storm brewing inside Noor.
>
Noor sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the pregnancy test kit in her hand.
The two pink lines glared back at her, confirming what she had been suspecting. Her heart raced.
"What if he doesn't want this?" she thought anxiously. "We just started rebuilding our life together. What if he thinks it's too soon?"
She decided to keep it to herself for now. She needed to be absolutely sure before telling anyone.
Later that day, Noor made an excuse about visiting an old friend and headed to the hospital. After a series of tests, the doctor smiled warmly at her.
"Congratulations, Mrs. Malhotra," the doctor said. "You're pregnant, about three weeks along."
Noor's heart swelled with mixed emotions-joy, fear, and uncertainty all at once.
She thanked the doctor and left the hospital, her hand instinctively resting on her belly.
>
Reyansh noticed Noor's distracted demeanor throughout the evening. She was quieter than usual, lost in her thoughts.
"Noor, is something bothering you?" he asked, concern evident in his tone.
Noor forced a smile and shook her head. "Just tired, that's all."
Reyansh frowned but didn't push further. "Alright. If you need anything, just tell me."
Noor nodded, her heart heavy with the secret she was carrying.
Noor lay awake in bed, her mind racing. She glanced at Reyansh, who was fast asleep beside her.
"Will he be happy about this? Or will it scare him?" she whispered to herself.
Her hand moved to her stomach again, a protective instinct already forming.
She decided to give herself a few more days to figure out how to break the news to him.
As she closed her eyes, she silently prayed, hoping that this new chapter in their lives would bring them closer rather than pulling them apart.
>
It was Reyansh's birthday, and Noor had planned a small, cozy celebration at home with just the family.
Despite her excitement about making the day special for him, she was nervous about her growing secret-she was pregnant, and she hadn't told him yet.
As Reyansh woke up that morning, Noor greeted him with a warm smile and breakfast in bed.
"Happy Birthday, Ansh," she said, leaning down to kiss his cheek.
Reyansh smirked, pulling her close. "This is how I want every birthday to start-with my wife spoiling me."
Noor chuckled nervously. "Well, get used to it. It's your special day."
The evening was cheerful. The family gathered in the living room, where the decorations were simple yet elegant.
A cake sat on the table, and Rohan teased Reyansh throughout the evening, cracking jokes about his age.
Reyansh was enjoying himself until he noticed Noor's slightly pale face and how she kept avoiding eye contact.
"You okay?" he asked her quietly as they stood aside.
"Of course!" Noor said quickly, brushing him off with a smile.
But Reyansh wasn't convinced.
>
After the celebration, Reyansh returned to their bedroom, ready to unwind. He noticed Noor wasn't in bed yet.
Curious, he walked into the bathroom and froze. Noor was sitting on the edge of the bathtub, holding a medical report in her hands, her face pale.
"Noor," he said firmly, startling her. "What's going on?"
She fumbled to hide the report, but Reyansh snatched it before she could. His eyes scanned the paper, and he stiffened.
"You're pregnant?" he asked, his voice cold and sharp.
Noor's eyes filled with tears. "Ansh, I-"
"You've been hiding this from me?" he interrupted, his voice rising. "For how long, Noor?"
"It's only been a few weeks," she said softly, tears streaming down her face.
"I didn't want to ruin your birthday. I wanted to find the right time to tell you."
Reyansh ran a hand through his hair, pacing the room. "The right time? Noor, this is my child too. Don't you think I deserved to know? Or did you think I wouldn't want this?"
Noor's sobs grew louder. "I was scared, Ansh! What if you didn't want a child right now? What if-"
"Stop," Reyansh said, his voice softening as he saw her break down. He took a deep breath, walking toward her.
"You should've told me, Noor. We're a team. You don't have to face things alone."
Noor looked up at him, guilt and relief washing over her. "I'm sorry, Ansh. I didn't mean to hurt you."
Reyansh pulled her into a hug, holding her tightly. "You're not alone in this, Noor. I'm here, and I always will be."
>
That night, Reyansh sat beside Noor, his hand resting gently on her stomach.
"We're going to be parents," he said, a small smile breaking through his initial frustration.
"That's the best birthday gift I could ever ask for."
Noor smiled through her tears, resting her head on his shoulder. "I promise I'll never keep anything from you again."
Reyansh kissed the top of her head. "Good. Because from now on, we face everything together."
Despite the rocky moment, the night ended with hope and love, as they embraced the new chapter of their lives together.
>
Three months had passed since that fateful night when Noor had finally revealed her secret.
The tension had shifted, but life had taken on a new rhythm-a blend of excitement and unpredictability.
Noor's mood swings had become the soundtrack of their home, a mix of sweet laughter and sudden bursts of emotion that left Reyansh on his toes.
"Ansh!" Noor's voice echoed from the kitchen, a hint of urgency lacing her tone. "Can you come here, please?"
He rushed in, wiping his hands on a dishtowel. "What's wrong? Did you cut yourself again?"
"No, it's not that," she said, her expression shifting from panic to a wide grin. "I just realized I can't find the can opener."
Reyansh raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at his lips. "You were panicking over a can opener?"
"It's a very serious situation!" she exclaimed, crossing her arms. "The beans won't open themselves, you know!"
He chuckled. "Alright, let's tackle this crisis." He reached into the drawer, producing the elusive tool with a flourish. "Ta-da! The mighty can opener has arrived!"
Noor clapped her hands, her laughter bubbling up. "You're a hero! What would I do without you?"
"Probably starve," he quipped, leaning in to plant a quick kiss on her forehead. "Or you'd be forced to eat unseasoned food."
"Ugh, the horror!" she laughed, her mood lifting like the sun breaking through clouds.
"But seriously, thank you for being so patient with my mood swings. I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster sometimes."
"Just think of me as your steady safety bar," he replied, wrapping an arm around her. "I'll hold you in place while you go through the loops."
"Loops? More like free falls!" she retorted, a playful spark in her eyes.
"One moment I'm happy, and the next I'm crying over a commercial about puppies!"
"Puppies always get to you," Reyansh said, laughing. "You cried during that one about the lost dog finding its way home. You've got to admit, it's a little ridiculous."
"Hey, don't judge!" she said, mock glaring at him. "Those dogs have feelings too!"
"Of course, they do. But I'm pretty sure they don't need a can opener to express them," he teased, nudging her shoulder gently.
Just then, Noor's expression shifted again, her brow furrowing. "What if I'm not a good mom?"
Reyansh's smile faded. He turned to her, taking her hands in his. "Noor, you're going to be a great mom. You care so much. That's what matters."
"But what if I mess up? What if I... I don't know, forget to pack the right snacks?" She looked genuinely distressed, her eyes shimmering with uncertainty.
"Hey, focus on the present," he said, squeezing her hands. "It's not about perfection. It's about love and trying your best."
"Trying my best doesn't sound as comforting when I'm imagining a toddler throwing a tantrum because I forgot their favorite snack," she sighed, biting her lip.
"Then we'll get the snack!" he said, chuckling. "We'll have a whole shelf for those 'favorite snacks.' Just in case."
"Wait, a whole shelf? You mean like a snack shrine?" she mused, a smile creeping back as her imagination took flight.
"Exactly! The Shrine of Snacks!" Reyansh proclaimed dramatically, raising his arms in an exaggerated gesture. "We'll worship at the altar of gummy bears and chocolate bars."
Noor burst into laughter, the tension lifting. "I can see it now: 'Oh great Snack Gods, grant us favor and bless our taste buds!'"
"And if we're lucky, we might even find a half-eaten pack of chips hidden behind the couch," he added, winking.
"See? You're already a dad!" she exclaimed, her mood brightening. "Making jokes about snacks and kids-that's the essence of fatherhood!"
"Just wait until they start asking for candy in the middle of the night," he said, feigning horror. "I'm going to need a snack subscription service."
"Or we can just stock up on emergency candy supplies," she suggested, her eyes sparkling. "I'll be the cool mom who sneaks her kids treats when no one's looking."
"Now you're talking! We'll be the ultimate snack team!" Reyansh said, pulling her into a playful hug. "But let's be real. You'll probably eat half of it yourself."
"Guilty as charged," she admitted, giggling. "I'll just blame it on the cravings."
As the evening wore on, they settled on the couch with their favorite snacks-popcorn, chips, and a few chocolates for good measure.
Noor leaned into Reyansh, her head resting on his shoulder. "You know, I'm really glad we're doing this together."
"Me too," he replied, running his fingers through her hair. "We'll figure it all out, one snack at a time."
The doorbell rang, interrupting their cozy moment. "I'll get it!" Reyansh said, standing up. He opened the door to find Rohan on the other side, a wide grin plastered on his face.
"Surprise!" Rohan exclaimed, stepping inside with a bag of takeout. "I brought dinner!"
Noor perked up, her eyes lighting up. "You're a lifesaver! I was just about to burn something in the kitchen."
"Again?" Rohan teased, eyeing her with mock disbelief. "What is it this time? Are we talking about another culinary disaster?"
"Hey! I made dinner last time!" Noor shot back, crossing her arms indignantly. "And it was delicious... until I accidentally added salt instead of sugar in the dessert."
"Salted brownies. A true culinary innovation," Rohan said, laughing. "I'm impressed by your creativity."
"Creativity, my foot!" Noor huffed, playfully swatting at him. "At least I'm trying."
"Trying is half the battle," Rohan said, setting the food on the table. "Besides, you'll have a little helper soon enough. Just imagine the chaos."
"I can't wait!" Noor said, her earlier worries momentarily forgotten. "They'll be the cutest little disaster."
Reyansh chuckled, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. "And the ultimate snack thief."
Rohan nodded sagely. "Every kid is a snack thief, especially when it comes to the good stuff. You'll need to be more vigilant than ever, Noor."
"Great, now I have to worry about snack security," she groaned, dramatically throwing her head back. "What have I gotten myself into?"
"Welcome to parenthood!" Rohan announced, raising an imaginary glass. "Where snacks are sacred and sleep is a distant memory."
"Let's not get too dramatic," Reyansh said, rolling his eyes. "It won't be that bad, right?"
"Famous last words," Rohan said, mockingly serious. "Just wait until you're up at 3 a.m., negotiating over a bottle and a pacifier."
"Oh, God," Noor said, laughing nervously. "What have I signed up for?"
"Just remember, it's all part of the journey," Reyansh replied, his tone turning serious. "And you've got me. We'll figure it out together."
"Okay, I can handle that," she said, her eyes softening. "As long as I have my snack shrine and the occasional late-night ice cream."
"Count me in for the ice cream," Reyansh said, grinning. "I'll be your partner in crime."
Rohan raised an eyebrow. "Ice cream at 3 a.m.? Now that's the spirit of parenthood!"
The three of them settled down to eat, the atmosphere filled with warmth and laughter.
Noor felt a sense of peace wash over her, a reminder that despite the chaos ahead, they would face it together.
As they shared stories and jokes, Reyansh suddenly turned thoughtful. "You know, I was thinking we should start preparing the nursery soon."
Noor felt a flutter of excitement at the mention of the nursery. "Oh, that would be amazing! I've seen so many cute ideas online."
"Here we go," Rohan said, feigning exasperation. "You'll be lost in Pinterest before you know it."
"Hey, I'll make it look fabulous!" Noor shot back, grinning. "It's going to be a masterpiece."
"Just don't forget to include a snack corner," Reyansh added, chuckling. "For the midnight cravings."
"Oh, definitely!" Noor said, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "A mini fridge stocked with baby food and snacks for me!"
"And a snack shrine for the little one," Rohan chimed in. "You're really onto something."
They all burst into laughter again, the sound echoing through their home, a melody that promised happiness and love.
Despite the uncertainties of parenthood, the bond they shared felt stronger than ever.
As the night wore on, Noor felt a sense of fulfillment. They may not have all the answers, but together, they could navigate the wild ride ahead-one laugh, one snack, and one heartwarming moment at a time.
>
Noor settled comfortably on the couch, her nine-month belly protruding like a small beach ball, the bowl of popcorn balanced precariously on top.
She chuckled at the TV, where a group of bumbling clowns attempted to juggle flaming torches.
"Oh come on! You're going to burn your eyebrows off!" She shook her head, laughing as one of the clowns dropped a torch and it ricocheted off the stage, narrowly missing a startled audience member.
Just then, Reyansh sauntered in, his eyes narrowing in mock disapproval at the sight of the popcorn bowl perched on Noor's belly.
"You know, I really don't think our child is a table," he said, plucking the bowl from its resting place.
"Hey!" Noor protested, instinctively swatting at his arm. "That's my popcorn! Put it back!"
Reyansh raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "I think you've got plenty of popcorn to spare. Besides, you're not supposed to use your belly as a table."
"Why not? It's a perfect little shelf," she retorted, a playful glint in her eyes.
"You're just jealous because I can multitask."
"Noor, I'm pretty sure multitasking doesn't include using your stomach especially my child as a serving dish," he teased, tossing a handful of popcorn into his mouth.
She opened her mouth to argue when, without warning, a sudden rush of warmth enveloped her. "Uh, Anshhhhhh?"
"Yeah?" he replied, his mouth full, oblivious to the panic rising in her voice.
"I think my water just broke," Noor gasped, her eyes wide.
Reyansh froze mid-chew, popcorn suspended in the air. "What? Are you serious?"
"Do I look like I'm kidding?" She slapped him on his right cheek, hard enough that he winced. "Get it together, we're having a baby here!"
"Okay, okay! Don't freak out!" He scrambled for his phone, fumbling with it as he tried to dial. "Mom! Dad! It's happening! Noor's... uh, her water broke!"
Noor could hear Reyansh's parents' surprised voices on the other end, but she was too focused on breathing deeply.
"I need you to calm down, Reyansh. Just call Rohan or somebody!"
"Right! Rohan!" He tossed the phone aside and rushed out of the room, shouting for his brother.
"Ansh!" Noor shouted after him. "And grab the hospital bag!"
"Got it!" he yelled back, his footsteps echoing through the house.
"Why am I the one doing all the work?" she muttered to herself, clutching her belly as another wave of discomfort rolled through her. Just then, Reyansh dashed back into the room, his face flushed with anxiety.
"I think I need to push!" she exclaimed, her voice slightly panicked.
"Push? I thought you were just supposed to breathe and take it easy!" Reyansh said, his eyes wide, clearly not ready for this.
"No! That's not how it works, Reyansh!" she snapped, struggling to find a comfortable position. "I'm not just going to sit here and wait for a miracle!"
"Okay! I'll get the car! Just stay calm!" He bolted out of the room again, the sound of his feet pounding against the floor like a frantic drumbeat.
Noor closed her eyes, taking deep breaths, trying to steady herself. "Why do they call it labor?" she grunted, feeling the pressure build. "This is more like a full-blown construction site!"
Rohan burst through the door, his expression shifting from confusion to alarm as he took in the scene. "What's happening? Is it time?"
"Yes! Grab her and let's go!" Reyansh shouted, scrambling for his keys.
"Don't just stand there! Help me up!" Noor exclaimed, her voice rising with urgency.
"Right, okay!" Rohan rushed over, arms outstretched. "Just lean on me. We've got this."
"Just don't drop me!" Noor groaned, gripping his shoulder tightly as she struggled to her feet.
"Trust me, I'd never hear the end of it if I did!" he replied, a nervous grin flashing across his face.
Reyansh returned, practically shoving the car keys into Rohan's hands. "You drive! I'll sit in the back with Noor!"
"Fine, but you better be ready to help!" Rohan said, guiding Noor toward the door.
"I'll do my best!" Reyansh called, following behind as they made their way outside. The night air was cool, a stark contrast to the heat building in Noor's belly.
"Seriously, can we hurry?" she urged, waddling as fast as she could. "I don't want to give birth in the parking lot!"
"Just a few more steps!" Rohan encouraged, opening the car door for her. "You can do it!"
Reyansh just carried her.
With a final push, Noor climbed into the back seat, Reyansh sliding in beside her. "Okay, here we go!" he said, his hands gripping her tightly. "I'm right here."
As Rohan started the car, Noor felt another wave wash over her. "Ugh! I think I'm going to-"
"Don't you dare!" Reyansh exclaimed, panicking. "Not in my car!"
"I'm not trying to!" she snapped, breathing through the contraction. "Just drive, Rohan!"
"On it!" Rohan sped off, tires squealing as he navigated through the night. "How far is the hospital?"
"About ten minutes if I drive fast," he answered, glancing in the rearview mirror. "You doing okay back there, Noor?"
"I'm about to lose it!" she cried, her nails digging into Reyansh's arm.
"Hang in there, Noor! You're doing amazing!" Reyansh said, his eyes wide and full of worry. "Just focus on breathing."
"I can't breathe if you keep talking!" she snapped back, trying to find a comfortable position.
The car swerved, Rohan glancing nervously at the road. "Okay, I need all my focus for this. No distractions!"
"Fine! Just drive!" Noor huffed, focusing on her breathing.
They arrived at the hospital in record time, Rohan parking with a screech. "Okay, we're here! Let's get you inside!"
Reyansh hopped out, rushing to Noor's side. "You ready?"
"Do I have a choice?" she grumbled, gripping his arm as they made their way through the entrance.
A nurse approached, her expression shifting to one of concern as she assessed Noor. "What's the situation?"
"Her water broke!" Reyansh exclaimed, still holding onto Noor tightly.
"Okay, let's get her checked in," the nurse instructed, guiding them toward the labor and delivery area.
"Now it's all real," Noor murmured, anxiety creeping into her voice.
"You're going to be great," Reyansh assured her, squeezing her hand. "Just remember all the breathing exercises we practiced."
"Don't remind me of those!" she snapped, her other hand clutching her belly.
"Just keep breathing!" he urged, trying to keep her calm.
Before long, they were in a delivery room, where another nurse prepped the area. "Alright, Noor, we need you to get ready. How are you feeling?"
"Like I'm about to explode!" she replied, her voice rising an octave.
"Perfectly normal!" the nurse said, smiling. "Let's get you set up and see how far along you are."
Reyansh stood beside her, his heart racing. "Do you think she's okay?"
"She's doing great," the nurse assured him. "Just keep talking to her, okay? It helps."
"Sure! Noor, um, remember that movie we watched about the dog finding its way home?" Reyansh started, his voice shaky as he tried to distract her.
"Really? Now?" she gasped, squeezing his hand harder. "I don't want to think about dogs right now!"
"Okay, how about food? What's your favorite?"
"Anything but popcorn!" she huffed, rolling her eyes.
Reyansh chuckled nervously, trying to lighten the mood. "Okay, how about pizza? You love pizza!"
"Not helping!" she snapped, eyes narrowing.
"Right, right. Just breathe, Noor. You got this!"
"Easier said than done!" she grunted, feeling another wave of pressure.
The doctor entered, a calm demeanor easing some of Noor's tension. "Alright, Noor, let's see what we're working with."
As the doctor checked her, Reyansh couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and fear. "Is she doing okay?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"She's progressing well," the doctor replied, glancing at Noor. "Just a bit more pushing, and we'll have a baby!"
"Ugh, I can't believe this is happening!" Noor groaned, feeling the pressure building again.
"Just focus on me," Reyansh said, his voice steady. "You're amazing, you know that?"
"Yeah, well, I'd be more amazing if I wasn't in pain!" she shot back, but a small smile tugged at her lips.
"Okay, let's get ready. On the count of three, I want you to push," the doctor instructed. "One, two, three-push!"
Noor grunted, pushing with all her might. "I can't believe I'm doing this!"
"You're doing great, Noor!" Reyansh encouraged, his heart racing as he watched her.
"Just breathe!" the doctor reminded her as she struggled. "You're almost there!"
With one final push, the sound of a baby's cry filled the air.
"Noor, you did it!" Reyansh exclaimed, tears welling in his eyes.
"That's our son!" she breathed, collapsing back against the pillows, exhausted but exhilarated.
The doctor placed the tiny bundle on Noor's chest, and she gazed down, her heart swelling with love. "Oh my God... he's beautiful."
"Look at him, Noor!" Reyansh said, his voice thick with emotion. "He's perfect!"
After sometimes everything got normal.
Just then, Noor's parents rushed into the room, their faces a mix of worry and excitement. "What happened? Is everything okay?" her mother asked, eyes darting to the baby.
"We had a baby!" Reyansh said, beaming.
"Noor, oh my goodness!" her father exclaimed, rushing to her side. "You did it!"
"Yeah, it was a team effort," she replied, her voice shaking with joy.
Rohan stood back, a wide grin plastered on his face. "So what's the name?"
Reyansh turned to Noor, his eyes shining. "What do you think?"
"Ruhan?"
"Noor, I love it!" she said, tears glistening in her eyes.
"Welcome to the world, Ruhan," Reyansh whispered, gently brushing his finger over the baby's tiny hand.
As the family gathered around, laughter and tears mingled in the air, the chaos of the delivery room transformed into a sanctuary of love.
Noor couldn't help but smile, her heart full as she cradled her son.
They may have faced uncertainties ahead, but in that moment, they knew they would navigate it all together-one laugh, one snack, and one heartwarming moment at a time.
