Chapter Twenty-Nine

Broken Angels MC

ALIANA

Three months have passed since the incident that nearly cost me my life and the lives of my twin girls. I spent a week and a half in the hospital, while the girls were discharged the next day.

I won’t lie, juggling two girls and two boys is exhausting. Axyl’s been away on a run for the past week, but he’s due home tonight.

We’re throwing a welcome home party for the guys, and I can’t wait for Axyl to be back. I need someone else to handle the midnight feedings. This mama needs a break…and sleep…lots of sleep.

“Mama! Can you tell Danny to leave me alone? I’m trying to do my homework, and he won’t let me concentrate.” Murdock interrupts my laundry folding. The girls have just gone down for their nap, and I don’t want them woken up by the boys’ squabbling.

“Danny. Get in here. Now!” Danny comes running into the living room, tears streaming down his face. “Why won’t you let your brother do his homework?”

“I JUST WANTED TO PLAY LEGOS WITH HIM!” He yells.

“Inside voice, Danny. Your sisters are sleeping, and if you wake them up, you’re going straight to time out. Your brother needs to finish his homework before playtime. You know the rules.

“Now, go play in your room or watch cartoons in the playroom. It’s almost nap time. You’ve got twenty minutes before you have to lie down. Use it wisely.”

He dashes into the playroom and, judging by the noise, dumps out all his Legos. “You go finish your homework. We’ve got the party tonight for your dad.” He nods and takes off.

After getting Danny down for his nap, I check on the girls. They’re still asleep, thank heavens, so I move on to check on Murdock. He’s in his room, engrossed in his game, so I leave him be.

I slump onto the living room couch. I need a damn nap. I set the baby monitor on the coffee table and close my eyes for a bit.

I know Murdock will come get me if he needs something. Raising four kids while Axyl is away is a lot of work. Especially with two three-month-old babies. I try to give each of them the same amount of time.

I don’t want the boys to feel like they’re less important now that Macey and Jacey are here. I love them like they’re my own, and nothing will change that.

The girls’ crying wakes me up, so I go upstairs to check on them before they wake Danny. I change their diapers and feed them.

I dress them in the outfits their daddy had made. The Broken Angels MC cut is in the shape of a onesie. I pair it with a blue skirt for Macey and a green skirt for Jacey.

Since it’s February, I make sure they have leggings under the skirts.

I take them downstairs and put them in their swings before heading to the kitchen to make sandwiches for lunch. I wake Danny from his nap and call Murdock from his room. We all gather in the kitchen to eat.

“Grandma Elaine and Grandma Vanessa will be here soon. Once you finish your lunches, go get ready.” We finish our lunch, and they head off to their rooms while I go to mine.

I take a quick shower before drying off just as fast. I pull on a pair of jeans, a tank top, and a flannel over it. I slip on my boots before heading back downstairs.

Murdock and Danny are watching TV, and the girls are swinging away. I go into the kitchen to clean up the lunch dishes, and before I know it, my mom and Axyl’s mom walk in.

“Grandma!” The boys rush up to our moms, and they envelop them in a hug.

“Are you boys ready to head to the clubhouse?” The boys nod, put on their shoes and coats, and head out to the car.

Each mom picks up a girl, and we walk out to my SUV that Axyl insisted I needed—for safety reasons. “How are you doing, sweetie?”

“I’m okay, mom. Just tired. It’s not easy doing this alone, but I’ve made it work. I’ll just be glad when Axyl gets home. I miss him.”

“I remember when your dad had to go on runs. It was the worst because I missed him so much. Especially when I had you and your brother. I’m not saying that it gets easier, but as the kids get older, it will get better.

“You’ll be sleeping through the night, and when they’re in their teens, they pretty much take care of themselves.”

“Thanks, mom. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that. I need a nap more though! I think I might take a nap before the party. If you and Vanessa don’t mind watching the kids. I just need an hour.”

“Of course! We don’t mind at all, honey. I know my son will have a fit if he finds out you’ve not been sleeping.” I chuckle because she’s right. He’ll throw a fit. “Let’s head to the clubhouse and get things settled.

“I know some very antsy uncles, aunts, and grandpas that want to see some children.” They walk to their car, and I jump into the driver’s side and start the car.

The drive to the clubhouse isn’t long, but it’s enough to have the girls screaming like banshees. When I pull into the parking lot, the boys can’t get out of the car fast enough. I don’t blame them.

I want to jump out myself. At least they waited until I parked and shut off the engine. The boys rush into the clubhouse, and Reaper comes out and grabs the girls from the car. “They almost home yet?”

“Looks like a few more hours, barring any hitches.” I nod in agreement as we step into the building.

“Sweetheart!” My dad rushes over, pulling me into a bear hug and spinning me around, just like he’s done my whole life.

“Hey, daddy.” I peck his cheek as he sets me back on my feet, then I greet the rest of the guys. “Goodness! You’d think you hadn’t seen me just yesterday!”

“Doesn’t matter, we missed you anyway, sis.” Westyn chimes in. I let out a big yawn and everyone chuckles.

“What? Try taking care of four kids by yourself and getting up every two hours to have two of them gnawing at your breast! I’m heading to my and Axyl’s room for a nap.

“Mom left you in charge of the kids. There’s breast milk in the diaper bag that needs to be refrigerated, and I know there are plenty of diapers and stuff here. You all know what to do.”

With that, I head into the room and collapse on the bed, surrendering to sleep.

I’m jolted awake by loud music blaring from the common area. Why on earth would they crank up the volume knowing the kids are here? I get up and stomp down the stairs, find the radio, and switch it off.

Every pair of eyes is on me and I’m seething. If I were a dragon, I’d be spewing fire from every possible outlet. “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?

“Did you forget there are CHILDREN here?”

“The kids went to Vanessa and Calvin’s for the night. We tried to wake you, but you were out cold.” Reaper answers.

“Of course. They send my best friend to talk because no one wants to deal with an angry mom! Whatever. Keep it down. Some of us haven’t had more than a few hours of sleep all week.”

With that, I storm back to the room and slam the door shut.

AXYL

We pull up to the clubhouse, greeted by a sea of our members. The usual welcome home after a run. I spot Aliana’s SUV and my body springs to life. I haven’t slept a wink this whole week I’ve been away.

I’ve been worrying about whether she’s getting enough rest, how she’s managing taking care of all four kids alone. I know she’s had the club members and our parents to help, but I still worry.

I’ve been texting her throughout the day and calling her before she goes to sleep, but it’s not the same as being there in person.

I kill the engine and kick down the stand before dismounting and heading into the building. I bask in the warmth of the clubhouse as I step in. It’s mid-February and we had to do a run—on the bikes.

I walk in to the sound of the music being cut off and my very angry lady. I hear her yelling at the men and some of them flinch. These tough bikers are scared of this barely five-foot woman.

I can’t blame them, I’m scared of her too, but I’ll never admit that because it’ll give her ammunition she doesn’t need. I watch as she finishes her rant before hearing the door slam and the music start back up.

Just as loud as before she turned it off. They’re asking for trouble and I’m going to steer clear of her wrath. I weave through the crowd, receiving ‘welcome homes’ before making my way to our room.

I open the door and she’s lying on the bed. “What the hell do you want?”

“Hey, sweetheart.” She jumps up and rushes toward me. I drop my bag just in time to catch her. Her legs wrap around my waist and her arms around my neck. “I missed you so damn much, babe.”

“I missed you too! I’m so glad you’re home.” She presses her lips to mine and I match her kiss with as much passion as she’s giving me.

I slip my tongue into her mouth and taste what I’ve been craving all week. She lets out a soft moan and I groan as my cock twitches in my pants. I carry us toward the bed and drop her on it.

She bounces and giggles before I drop myself on top of her. In a flash, I have her clothes off, mine following shortly after.

It’s been a long week and I want to be buried deep in her tight pussy as my welcome home. “I need you, babe. Right now.” My cock is so hard right now, it could hammer a nail into a piece of wood.

I align myself with her entrance and thrust in to the hilt when our bedroom door bursts open.

“Hey! You guys going to come join…oh shit!” My brother, Westyn, and Reaper are standing there in my doorway about to get a bullet in their asses.

“Get the hell out of here.” They rush out of the room and Aliana laughs. “What are you laughing at?” I thrust in and out, making her moan.

I didn’t hear the door shut so I glance over to see Reaper just standing there. He’s not watching us, but he’s just standing there deep in thought. “Reaper, get out. We’ll be down in a minute.”

“What’s going on, Jackson?” Ali asks, flipping us over so she’s on top. Reaper moves over to the chair after shutting the door behind him. What the hell is going on here.

I let out a groan as Ali starts to move her hips in the way she knows I like.

My mind goes blank and I don’t even focus on the fact that Reaper is in here, having a conversation with my lady while I’m buried deep in her.

I guess the good thing is that he’s not paying attention to what’s happening. He’s just staring at the wall. I thrust up and concentrate on my woman. I feel her tighten around me, knowing she’s close.

I quicken my rhythm, feeling a tightening sensation in my balls and a shiver running up my spine. I flip Ali back over and that’s when Reaper exits the room.

“Yes, baby. Don’t stop. So close,” Ali pants.

“Why was your best friend in here while we’re in the middle of sex?” I ask, increasing my speed.

“He wasn’t really paying attention. He needed advice. I gave it. He left. Now, keep going. I’m so close, baby.” And I did. I thrust into her tight warmth so hard and fast, the bed was slamming against the wall.

“Cum for me, baby girl. I need you to cum now.” Her walls clenched so tight, I thought my cock was going to snap. When her orgasm hit, mine followed. God, I missed her.

I collapse on top of her, both of us panting, before we dress and head down to the party.

ALIANA

The party is in full swing and it seems I’m the only sober one here. I can’t drink since I’m breastfeeding the girls. Not that I mind. I don’t like the hangovers.

I approach Axyl and he wraps his arm around my shoulder, pulling me close. He leans in and we share a passionate kiss.

When I pull back, I look into his eyes and see nothing but love and desire. The clubhouse doors swing open and we all turn to see the one person I never wanted to see again.

Fucking. Lana. I pull Axyl’s gun from under his jacket and aim it straight at her head. “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t blow your fucking brains out right now.”

“I-I just came to talk and see my boys,” she stammers. Pathetic.

“You lost that right when you went into ‘business’ with Alex. You betrayed us. You abused your sons and expect to just see them whenever you want? Because of you, I almost lost my daughters!

“Because of you, Murdock has felt helpless in protecting anyone. Because of you, Danny has nightmares. You could have told us Alex was still alive, but you chose drugs instead.

“What did he promise you? Huh?” She’s silent for a few moments. “ANSWER ME!” I yell, cocking the gun.

“He was going to make me his ol’ lady after he got rid of you. We were going to take the girls and the boys and take over this club.

“I was high most of the time. Come on, Ali…we used to be good friends. Please. I’m so sorry. I’m clean now.” I scoff and move closer to her. “Axyl…please. Don’t let her do this.”

“I’m not letting her do anything. You played a part in her and my daughters almost dying. Because of what you did to my sons, they’re in therapy. You messed them up and left me to clean up the mess.

“I shouldn’t have had to do that because you should never have laid a hand on them. So, no…I won’t help you. If she kills you…she kills you. You know the consequences of betraying the club.

“The men may not handle the women, but the women do.”

“Now that that’s settled…give me one good fucking reason not to put a bullet in your head right now.”

Images of Murdock and Danny’s faces flash through my mind, and I’m torn between wanting to punish her and wondering if killing her is the best solution.

“I want another chance. I want to have a relationship with my sons. I won’t try and get Axyl back. I did some terrible things while I was high, and I regret each of them. Please. Mother to mother.

“Let me prove to you that I’ve changed.” Damn it, she just had to tug at my heartstrings and play the mother card.

“Get the hell out of here before I change my mind. DON’T contact the boys until they’re ready. It’s their decision, NOT yours. Get out of my sight.”

She scurries out of the building, and the party resumes as if nothing happened.
