Chapter Twenty-Nine
Broken Angels MC
ALIANA
Three months have passed since the incident that nearly cost me my life and the lives of my twin girls. I spent a week and a half in the hospital, while the girls were discharged the next day.
I wonât lie, juggling two girls and two boys is exhausting. Axylâs been away on a run for the past week, but heâs due home tonight.
Weâre throwing a welcome home party for the guys, and I canât wait for Axyl to be back. I need someone else to handle the midnight feedings. This mama needs a breakâ¦and sleepâ¦lots of sleep.
âMama! Can you tell Danny to leave me alone? Iâm trying to do my homework, and he wonât let me concentrate.â Murdock interrupts my laundry folding. The girls have just gone down for their nap, and I donât want them woken up by the boysâ squabbling.
âDanny. Get in here. Now!â Danny comes running into the living room, tears streaming down his face. âWhy wonât you let your brother do his homework?â
âI JUST WANTED TO PLAY LEGOS WITH HIM!â He yells.
âInside voice, Danny. Your sisters are sleeping, and if you wake them up, youâre going straight to time out. Your brother needs to finish his homework before playtime. You know the rules.
âNow, go play in your room or watch cartoons in the playroom. Itâs almost nap time. Youâve got twenty minutes before you have to lie down. Use it wisely.â
He dashes into the playroom and, judging by the noise, dumps out all his Legos. âYou go finish your homework. Weâve got the party tonight for your dad.â He nods and takes off.
After getting Danny down for his nap, I check on the girls. Theyâre still asleep, thank heavens, so I move on to check on Murdock. Heâs in his room, engrossed in his game, so I leave him be.
I slump onto the living room couch. I need a damn nap. I set the baby monitor on the coffee table and close my eyes for a bit.
I know Murdock will come get me if he needs something. Raising four kids while Axyl is away is a lot of work. Especially with two three-month-old babies. I try to give each of them the same amount of time.
I donât want the boys to feel like theyâre less important now that Macey and Jacey are here. I love them like theyâre my own, and nothing will change that.
The girlsâ crying wakes me up, so I go upstairs to check on them before they wake Danny. I change their diapers and feed them.
I dress them in the outfits their daddy had made. The Broken Angels MC cut is in the shape of a onesie. I pair it with a blue skirt for Macey and a green skirt for Jacey.
Since itâs February, I make sure they have leggings under the skirts.
I take them downstairs and put them in their swings before heading to the kitchen to make sandwiches for lunch. I wake Danny from his nap and call Murdock from his room. We all gather in the kitchen to eat.
âGrandma Elaine and Grandma Vanessa will be here soon. Once you finish your lunches, go get ready.â We finish our lunch, and they head off to their rooms while I go to mine.
I take a quick shower before drying off just as fast. I pull on a pair of jeans, a tank top, and a flannel over it. I slip on my boots before heading back downstairs.
Murdock and Danny are watching TV, and the girls are swinging away. I go into the kitchen to clean up the lunch dishes, and before I know it, my mom and Axylâs mom walk in.
âGrandma!â The boys rush up to our moms, and they envelop them in a hug.
âAre you boys ready to head to the clubhouse?â The boys nod, put on their shoes and coats, and head out to the car.
Each mom picks up a girl, and we walk out to my SUV that Axyl insisted I neededâfor safety reasons. âHow are you doing, sweetie?â
âIâm okay, mom. Just tired. Itâs not easy doing this alone, but Iâve made it work. Iâll just be glad when Axyl gets home. I miss him.â
âI remember when your dad had to go on runs. It was the worst because I missed him so much. Especially when I had you and your brother. Iâm not saying that it gets easier, but as the kids get older, it will get better.
âYouâll be sleeping through the night, and when theyâre in their teens, they pretty much take care of themselves.â
âThanks, mom. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that. I need a nap more though! I think I might take a nap before the party. If you and Vanessa donât mind watching the kids. I just need an hour.â
âOf course! We donât mind at all, honey. I know my son will have a fit if he finds out youâve not been sleeping.â I chuckle because sheâs right. Heâll throw a fit. âLetâs head to the clubhouse and get things settled.
âI know some very antsy uncles, aunts, and grandpas that want to see some children.â They walk to their car, and I jump into the driverâs side and start the car.
The drive to the clubhouse isnât long, but itâs enough to have the girls screaming like banshees. When I pull into the parking lot, the boys canât get out of the car fast enough. I donât blame them.
I want to jump out myself. At least they waited until I parked and shut off the engine. The boys rush into the clubhouse, and Reaper comes out and grabs the girls from the car. âThey almost home yet?â
âLooks like a few more hours, barring any hitches.â I nod in agreement as we step into the building.
âSweetheart!â My dad rushes over, pulling me into a bear hug and spinning me around, just like heâs done my whole life.
âHey, daddy.â I peck his cheek as he sets me back on my feet, then I greet the rest of the guys. âGoodness! Youâd think you hadnât seen me just yesterday!â
âDoesnât matter, we missed you anyway, sis.â Westyn chimes in. I let out a big yawn and everyone chuckles.
âWhat? Try taking care of four kids by yourself and getting up every two hours to have two of them gnawing at your breast! Iâm heading to my and Axylâs room for a nap.
âMom left you in charge of the kids. Thereâs breast milk in the diaper bag that needs to be refrigerated, and I know there are plenty of diapers and stuff here. You all know what to do.â
With that, I head into the room and collapse on the bed, surrendering to sleep.
Iâm jolted awake by loud music blaring from the common area. Why on earth would they crank up the volume knowing the kids are here? I get up and stomp down the stairs, find the radio, and switch it off.
Every pair of eyes is on me and Iâm seething. If I were a dragon, Iâd be spewing fire from every possible outlet. âWHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?
âDid you forget there are CHILDREN here?â
âThe kids went to Vanessa and Calvinâs for the night. We tried to wake you, but you were out cold.â Reaper answers.
âOf course. They send my best friend to talk because no one wants to deal with an angry mom! Whatever. Keep it down. Some of us havenât had more than a few hours of sleep all week.â
With that, I storm back to the room and slam the door shut.
AXYL
We pull up to the clubhouse, greeted by a sea of our members. The usual welcome home after a run. I spot Alianaâs SUV and my body springs to life. I havenât slept a wink this whole week Iâve been away.
Iâve been worrying about whether sheâs getting enough rest, how sheâs managing taking care of all four kids alone. I know sheâs had the club members and our parents to help, but I still worry.
Iâve been texting her throughout the day and calling her before she goes to sleep, but itâs not the same as being there in person.
I kill the engine and kick down the stand before dismounting and heading into the building. I bask in the warmth of the clubhouse as I step in. Itâs mid-February and we had to do a runâon the bikes.
I walk in to the sound of the music being cut off and my very angry lady. I hear her yelling at the men and some of them flinch. These tough bikers are scared of this barely five-foot woman.
I canât blame them, Iâm scared of her too, but Iâll never admit that because itâll give her ammunition she doesnât need. I watch as she finishes her rant before hearing the door slam and the music start back up.
Just as loud as before she turned it off. Theyâre asking for trouble and Iâm going to steer clear of her wrath. I weave through the crowd, receiving âwelcome homesâ before making my way to our room.
I open the door and sheâs lying on the bed. âWhat the hell do you want?â
âHey, sweetheart.â She jumps up and rushes toward me. I drop my bag just in time to catch her. Her legs wrap around my waist and her arms around my neck. âI missed you so damn much, babe.â
âI missed you too! Iâm so glad youâre home.â She presses her lips to mine and I match her kiss with as much passion as sheâs giving me.
I slip my tongue into her mouth and taste what Iâve been craving all week. She lets out a soft moan and I groan as my cock twitches in my pants. I carry us toward the bed and drop her on it.
She bounces and giggles before I drop myself on top of her. In a flash, I have her clothes off, mine following shortly after.
Itâs been a long week and I want to be buried deep in her tight pussy as my welcome home. âI need you, babe. Right now.â My cock is so hard right now, it could hammer a nail into a piece of wood.
I align myself with her entrance and thrust in to the hilt when our bedroom door bursts open.
âHey! You guys going to come joinâ¦oh shit!â My brother, Westyn, and Reaper are standing there in my doorway about to get a bullet in their asses.
âGet the hell out of here.â They rush out of the room and Aliana laughs. âWhat are you laughing at?â I thrust in and out, making her moan.
I didnât hear the door shut so I glance over to see Reaper just standing there. Heâs not watching us, but heâs just standing there deep in thought. âReaper, get out. Weâll be down in a minute.â
âWhatâs going on, Jackson?â Ali asks, flipping us over so sheâs on top. Reaper moves over to the chair after shutting the door behind him. What the hell is going on here.
I let out a groan as Ali starts to move her hips in the way she knows I like.
My mind goes blank and I donât even focus on the fact that Reaper is in here, having a conversation with my lady while Iâm buried deep in her.
I guess the good thing is that heâs not paying attention to whatâs happening. Heâs just staring at the wall. I thrust up and concentrate on my woman. I feel her tighten around me, knowing sheâs close.
I quicken my rhythm, feeling a tightening sensation in my balls and a shiver running up my spine. I flip Ali back over and thatâs when Reaper exits the room.
âYes, baby. Donât stop. So close,â Ali pants.
âWhy was your best friend in here while weâre in the middle of sex?â I ask, increasing my speed.
âHe wasnât really paying attention. He needed advice. I gave it. He left. Now, keep going. Iâm so close, baby.â And I did. I thrust into her tight warmth so hard and fast, the bed was slamming against the wall.
âCum for me, baby girl. I need you to cum now.â Her walls clenched so tight, I thought my cock was going to snap. When her orgasm hit, mine followed. God, I missed her.
I collapse on top of her, both of us panting, before we dress and head down to the party.
ALIANA
The party is in full swing and it seems Iâm the only sober one here. I canât drink since Iâm breastfeeding the girls. Not that I mind. I donât like the hangovers.
I approach Axyl and he wraps his arm around my shoulder, pulling me close. He leans in and we share a passionate kiss.
When I pull back, I look into his eyes and see nothing but love and desire. The clubhouse doors swing open and we all turn to see the one person I never wanted to see again.
Fucking. Lana. I pull Axylâs gun from under his jacket and aim it straight at her head. âGive me one good reason why I shouldnât blow your fucking brains out right now.â
âI-I just came to talk and see my boys,â she stammers. Pathetic.
âYou lost that right when you went into âbusinessâ with Alex. You betrayed us. You abused your sons and expect to just see them whenever you want? Because of you, I almost lost my daughters!
âBecause of you, Murdock has felt helpless in protecting anyone. Because of you, Danny has nightmares. You could have told us Alex was still alive, but you chose drugs instead.
âWhat did he promise you? Huh?â Sheâs silent for a few moments. âANSWER ME!â I yell, cocking the gun.
âHe was going to make me his olâ lady after he got rid of you. We were going to take the girls and the boys and take over this club.
âI was high most of the time. Come on, Aliâ¦we used to be good friends. Please. Iâm so sorry. Iâm clean now.â I scoff and move closer to her. âAxylâ¦please. Donât let her do this.â
âIâm not letting her do anything. You played a part in her and my daughters almost dying. Because of what you did to my sons, theyâre in therapy. You messed them up and left me to clean up the mess.
âI shouldnât have had to do that because you should never have laid a hand on them. So, noâ¦I wonât help you. If she kills youâ¦she kills you. You know the consequences of betraying the club.
âThe men may not handle the women, but the women do.â
âNow that thatâs settledâ¦give me one good fucking reason not to put a bullet in your head right now.â
Images of Murdock and Dannyâs faces flash through my mind, and Iâm torn between wanting to punish her and wondering if killing her is the best solution.
âI want another chance. I want to have a relationship with my sons. I wonât try and get Axyl back. I did some terrible things while I was high, and I regret each of them. Please. Mother to mother.
âLet me prove to you that Iâve changed.â Damn it, she just had to tug at my heartstrings and play the mother card.
âGet the hell out of here before I change my mind. DONâT contact the boys until theyâre ready. Itâs their decision, NOT yours. Get out of my sight.â
She scurries out of the building, and the party resumes as if nothing happened.
