Shiko wakes up on her own and holds her head. She looks at her book; open, laying on her chest. She slowly gets up and closes the lights she forgot to close before falling asleep. She looks at the time.
Shiko: "10Am...." she yawns.
"I have an hour before Kuro gets here but... knowing him, he'll be a liiittle early..." she stretches her arms and makes her bed. She sits and glances at her book. She looks through it one last time.
"No wonder Kuro likes this book too... when I first met him I was surprised but, it's so like him..." she giggles
"The way the characters talk are just like how Kuro does~" she thinks with a light smile
"Maybe he was influenced to talk the way he does from books?"
She closes her book and puts it in the bag she'll be taking. She takes a few more of her favorite books and a few other things. She looks into her closet to see what to wear but realizes most things look pretty similar to eachother. So she decides the wear some of the things she bought yesterday before settling on dark purple pants, a very light Lila (almost white) shirt with open shoulders and a black cardigan. She looks at herself in the mirror and lightly giggles.
"I'm wearing color!~"
Shortly after, she gets out from her room and quickly makes herself a yogurt based short, fast breakfast. In no time, Kuro is at the door. Lucy and Laurance hadn't come out of their offices since early in the morning so Hikari rushes to the door before Shiko and opens the door.
Kuro is wearing black jeans, a black short sleeved shirt and long sleeve like white bandages from into the other shirt to the wrists, Hikari looks at him in worry.
Hikari: K-Kuro-Nii! What happened to your arms??! She clings to Kuro's Arm as Shiko gets close, Kuro giggles
Kuro: I have a weird sense of style I guess? Nothing happened He ruffles Hikari's hair and looks at Shiko, he smirks
Wearing color AND open shoulders I see?~ Taking my style advice? He giggles as Shiko puffs her cheeks
Shiko: I... just felt confident! She averts her eyes
So thank you.... Kuro lifts his hand up from Hikari's head
Kuro: Got your books? Shiko slowly nods
Then let's go. Shiko waves to Hikari as they leave with Kuro and start walking, after a while; they start casually chatting
Shiko: Soooo, got any plans? She ask hesitantly, Kuro looks at her with the corner of his eye
Kuro: Well we both don't know much about these things so I asked Haru... he says and whisperingly ads;
(As much as that's worth...) Shiko giggles as Kuro starts speaking normally again
The cinema feels too... casual. So to be more original we'll go to places that are more like us.
Soooo the library, the zoo, maybe an ice skating ring? He shucks his shoulders
We'll see how much time we have after places like this. Shiko silently giggles
Shiko: So, if it's as you said and these places are more us. Does that mean we are knowledgeable animals on ice? She giggles once again. Kuro lightly hits Shiko's arms
Kuro: No... I'd just say we like reading so that's why the library... and I thought ice skating could be fun.. he looks down, Shiko looks at him
Shiko: And the Zoo?
Kuro: I... like animals and so a... "club member" suggested it... he averts his eyes
Shiko: Someone.... from "YNTK"? Kuro stops walking for a sec, he smirks slightly
Kuro: Heh... sorry, I forgot you knew about that for a second.. he resumes walking, Shiko takes a deep breath
Shiko: W-what is that group for anyway...? You get exhausted there don't you...? Is it okay if I asked about it...? She says hesitantly, Kuro shakes his head no
Kuro: You don't have to know about that. Nobody should. He looks at her with the corner of his eye
Kinda like a secret, let me keep it. Shiko gulps and slowly nods. Shortly after; they arrive at the library and get in, sit down and take out their books, Kuro looks over to what Shiko brought
Y-You brought "The Dark Side of The Moon"? Didn't you read that like 7 times already? He says, suprised, Shiko nods, kind of embarrassed
Shiko: Y-Yeah.... I glossed over it yesterday too before falling asleep... she rubs the back of her head
It is my favorite after all... she says with a light smile and looks at Kuro
I also realized the way the characters speak are shockingly similar to the way you do. Do you think you got influenced from the books you read? Kuro averts his eyes and shucks his shoulders
Kuro: Maybe... he says silently, Shiko goes through the book again
Shiko: Plus it's just so intriguing that nothing is really known about the writer!~ "Zen A." is a genius~ her eyes seem to light up as she talks about this book, Kuro lightly smiles
Kuro: Even the name could be fake... since how they look is also a mystery, you wouldn't even know if they sat next to you... Cool right? Heh...
Shiko: Y-Yes! Exactly!~ she says a little loudly, few people around them Hush her; as they are in a library, Kuro lightly giggles
Kuro: One week looks like it's done your volume of speech wonders.. he smirks slightly, Shiko gets kinda pink
Shiko: W-what kind of books did you bring...? She says silently. Kuro shows her a few and they talk about and read books for the next two hours before a clock on the wall catches Shiko's eye
H-How did time pass so quickly..!? She says in surprise
Kuro giggles and starts putting his books in his bag
Kuro: Let's go, It's better to go to the Zoo before it's too late. Shiko nods and quickly gets her stuff.
They leave shortly and head to the zoo. After arriving and getting in; they walk around where many animals are located closely. They see turtles, Foxes, Zebras, Pandas, Pumas, Tigers and many other animals before they see something weird at the lion area, it's not a cage but there's a high enough area to stop animals from getting out. An old man and a thin blond boy(?) are standing outside as a tall, black haired, fit guy; (looking to be 18yo.) is INSIDE the lion area and PLAYINGGG with the lion and rolling around with him, Shiko looks at the guy with complete surprise. She quickly pulls Kuro's arm and points at them.
Shiko: K-Kuro! Look at that..!!!! She says, so surprised that can't say anything else, Kuro looks over and opens his eyes wide, he falls silent, Shiko looks at him, he suddenly smirks
Kuro: Heh... you gotta be kidding me... he facepalms and sighs. Shiko looks confused. Kuro holds Shiko's arm and rushes away from that area
Shiko: K-Kuro? What's wrong? She says, confused, Kuro takes them to the outer exit to the Zoo and giggles as if he's annoyed
Kuro: I freaking know that idiot... Better we stay away than intrude on his "Date Scene" with his boyfriend. Shiko's face gets red, Kuro slowly lets go of her arms
Shiko: O-Oh...! She looks down slightly
I-is he from "YNTK"...? She ask hesitantly, Kuro looks at her kinda coldly
Kuro: You are kinda pushing it don't you think..? He asks without much expression, Shiko stays silent and looks further down, a few seconds pass silently, Kuro sighs and lifts her head up, Shiko gulps
Yea. He is. His name is Tsubasa. The one who helped my singing. Shiko slightly smiles and nods as if thanking him
Shiko: Sorry for sounding persistent... I'm just curious... she says kinda silently. Kuro lets go of her and smirks slightly
Kuro: Curiosity Killed the Cat. Ask too much and you'll regret it.. Really....... he ruffles Shiko's hair as she nods
Shiko: Lets... go to the ice skating ring..? Kuro shakes his head no
Kuro: If I know you; you didn't eat much did you? He smirks slightly, Shiko averts her eyes
There... is a cafe next to the Ice skating rings building. Let's go there... Shiko nods
They exit the Zoo and head over to the cafe. They find somewhere nice, sit down and order food.
Shiko: If... you don't mind me asking, how do you know so much about what places are where when you don't seem to... go out much..? She asks hesitantly, Kuro looks at her confused
Kuro: I studied Japan's map in my spare time. A very detailed one. In... my spare time.. he averts his eyes
It might seem weird to you though.. Shiko shakes her head no
Shiko; Not really... it's just kind of cool... she lightly giggles
I didn't really have any... "spare time". Because of all the tutors, special lessons, musical practices and stuff...
Kuro: You have some now. I know the way your family treats you isn't okay but at least you are more free. They haven't abandoned you completely either. He very lightly smirks, Shiko's expression turns slightly blue
Shiko: You... shouldn't say that so comfortably... You were born into a bad family.... it's not your fault... She says hesitantly as Kuro lightly giggles
Kuro: You don't have to keep saying that... It pisses me off more that it's NOT my fault. If it was; maybe I could change things. He lightly slaps his cheeks from both sides
Okkaaaaay, we shouldn't talk about things like this. He smiles, Shiko quickly nods in agreement and lightly smiles back
They talk about their next fighting practices, a few logical moves and more. They eat the things they ordered and continue chatting for a bit
Kuro: Come on!! Starting your swimming at a pool would be better. Since you think the one at our school is too deep; we could go to a public pool and you can practice in kids areas!~ Shiko quickly shakes her head no
Shiko: T-That would be embarrassing!! I'd rather learn in the beach if I have to then... she says silently and looks down, Kuro sighs with a light smile
Kuro: Then, the next school trip to the beach; I can take you to somewhere without many people and teach you. As long as you'd not be scared...? Shiko lifts her head up and looks at him
Shiko: I-I would not be scared! Not... of you at least... she averts her eyes. Kuro sighs once more
Kuro: What made you so scared of the water...?
Shiko gulps and a minute or two passes in silence. She takes a deep breath.
Shiko: When... I was in elementary school... I had this one friend called Ella... or at least I thought of her as a friend.. When they took the entire class to swim.. the teachers were nowhere to be seen... she takes a moment to calm her breathing and looks down once again
I was sitting on the side since I couldn't swim... a few classmates came and pushed me in... a few other classmates pulled me to the middle of the pool... Some other classmates pulled me to the bottom.... Her eyes get slightly teary as Kuro listens in silence
The whole class was working hand and hand... I thought I was definitely gonna drown... her voice gets a little shaky, she takes another deep breath
Ella came near the pool with a teacher as all the kids swam away from me... I slowly lost consciousness... she lightly rubs her eyes
When I woke up I was in the infirmary and Ella was sitting next to me... Told me that she brought the teacher and saved me... So I believed her... she takes one last deep breath and looks up at Kuro
She ask me for a present she wanted... it was really expensive but my parents still liked me back then so I got it for her... she lightly giggles sadly
Some other classmates then told me the drowning thing was all her idea and she just used me to get what she wanted...... But nobody including her ever talked to me again unless it was about class... she smiles lightly, a blue and painful smile, she slowly looks down again
And that's the story........... A few seconds pass in silence.
Kuro lifts up Shiko's head and look into her eyes. Shiko is expecting something like "I'm sorry" or "Sad for what happened back then" but that's not what Kuro says. He lightly smirks.
Kuro: We are going to beat this water fear of yours. Nobody is ever gonna play you like that again. You are stronger now and know better. He ruffles Shiko's hair. Shiko lightly smiles.
Shiko: You saved me the last time I almost drowned... If anything like that happens again, I trust myself to you... She says without thinking, Kuro's eyes open slightly wide as they both fall silent and slowly get red. Kuro quickly takes his hand off from Shiko's hair and averts his eyes.
Kuro: Of course. I'm the swimming captain after all.... Shiko giggles
Shiko: Are you blushing a little...?~ she says kinda smugly, Kuro looks in her eyes
Kuro: Look who's talking! You look as red as ever! He puffs his cheeks like an annoyed child, Shiko giggles
Shiko: Well I blush too easily... it can't be helped~ she rubs the back of her neck
They chat a little more before getting up, Kuro pays, they get out and go into the building of the Ice skating ring.
Shiko: I... could have payed...
Kuro: No way. Your family might be wealthy but they don't give you much anymore do they? I at least earn my money regularly. Shiko averts her eyes
Shiko: I... guess that's true... she looks at him
I'm gonna pay next time though! Promise me you'll let me! She puffs her cheeks, Kuro giggles
Kuro: Lets split next time then. I wouldn't be comfortable letting you pay completely Shiko looks a little grumpy but... cute
Shiko: That wouldn't be fair! You barely got anything anyway! Kuro closes Shiko's mouth
Kuro: It's okay. You don't have to feel bad. You deserve this... he lightly smiles and takes his hand off, Shiko lightly sighs and gives up, she nods as they get in the ice skating ring and start picking their skates. When they find proper ones, they slowly get in the ring. Kuro wobbles, Shiko giggles.
Shiko: Not so smug now? She lightly smirks, Kuro gives an annoyed smirk back
Kuro: Oh hush. I'll get it in a minute.. he tries to stand up straight and starts going forward from the side of the ring.
Shiko follows him with the same smug look on her face, standing on his side and not holding sides. She's very clearly used to this
Shiko: Shooould I leave you be and go a bit faster? She lightly giggles, Kuro seems to slowly be getting really annoyed
Kuro: Suit yourself! I will catch up to you in a bit. He looks a bit more focused and his smirk is gone.
Shiko shucks her shoulders and starts ice skating to her hearts content. Kuro looks at her. She looks graceful as if dancing or floating on the ice. She even does a few jumps. She doesn't even look like the shy girl Kuro first gave confidence to. There aren't many people ring so that might also be a reason why. Kuro suddenly wobbles again and almost falls. He lightly laughs at himself.
Kuro: Damn. I must look pathetic right about now... he sighs. After a bit Shiko slowly glides over to him and lightly smiles
Shiko: You don't have to force yourself. I've had my fun and if you aren't enjoying this we could get out? Kuro looks at her and sighs with a slight smirk. He lets go of the side he's holding and slooooowly skates around a bit without holding. Shiko silently claps and giggles lightly
Kuro: Heh. I'm not really helping my case. After seeing you so gracefully, I look like a crow impersonating a penguin... he sighs and lightly laughs at himself, Shiko giggles too
Shiko: Hehe, That's not true~ It's your first time trying to Ice skate right? She smiles, Kuro nods in agreement
Then you're doing great! You're a fast learner!~ No suprised there I guess but still! Kuro looks at her innocent smile and averts her eyes
Kuro: Did.... you learn skating as a kid? He asks and looks back at her, Shiko nods
Shiko: Y-Yea! My family has this thing with being graceful as you know. So when I wanted to try as a kid they immediately got my professional teachers... she giggles as if a little ashamed to admit, Kuro wobbles again but Shiko holds his arms so they hold balance. They both giggle.
Suddenly a little kid falls really bad near them and starts crying, they both look at the kid, Kuro lets go if Shiko and skates near to the kid, he falls on his knees and lifts the kid up in a sitting position, Shiko gets close to them
Kuro: Shhhh, Shhhh, calm down... let me see. He looks at the little girls knees, it's slightly bleeding, the girl looks at Kuro with teary eyes
Girl: M-My Mommy said- My-My mommy said she'll be back in a minute... so I thought I could go faster when she was goooone! She sobs
Kuro: It's okay... We'll take care of this... you just be careful and listen to your mother the next time... he takes a bandaid out of his pocket, lightly dusts the little girls knee and puts the bandaid on, the little girl looks at her knee and stops crying, eyes still teary, Shiko silently watches them in awe
Girl: It... It still hurts though... she looks at Kuro, Kuro lightly pets her head
Kuro: The paint can't go away immediately. But you are a strong girl. There are worse pains in this world. You just wash it and ask your mother to put some cream on it when you get home okay..? the little girl wipes her tears and slowly gets up, holding on to Kuro. She nods and lightly smiles
Girl: T-Thanks Mr.!~ I'm gonna be strong like you some day!~ I'll go out and wait outside for my mommy now!~ Byeeee~ She slowly glides away
Shiko looks at Kuro, still in shock, Kuro looks at her and averts his eyes
Shiko: I... can't believe you did that! You were so nice even though you didn't know her!! You'd think of it as a bother before, no? Kuro faces away
Kuro: It's your fault I changed... these things bother me now... you made me soft...... he says silently, Shiko hears this but acts like she didn't
Shiko: Hm?~ She says with a light smile
Kuro: Nothing! He says kinda annoyed, he faces Shiko
Shiko: Well, why don't you get up now? Kuro stays silent and averts his eyes again without saying anything. After a few seconds; Shiko smirks lightly
You don't know how to get up. Do you? Kuro stays silent, Shiko giggles
Kuro: Shut up... I feel pathetic enough today.. he says, annoyed at himself
Shiko: Hehe. You're not pathetic at all. She lowers herself to Kuro and helps him get up
You just... let your guard down around me. Am I wrong? She says with a light smile, Kuro sighs and looks at her
Kuro: That's... exactly true actually. They both skate to the place they got in and get out
If It was someone else I wouldn't even go in. If i was inside and threatened I would get up in any way I could even if I had to take off the skates then and there. Shiko lets him go and they start taking off the skates
With you I guess I'm getting comfortable. He sighs
I don't even understand myself. He says kinda annoyed. Shiko puts their skates away, they wear their own shoes and start walking out of the building
Shiko: That's... okay. She lightly smiles and looks slightly down as they continue walking
I'm never this comfortable to act smug, talk in a normal volume, state my opinion or have fun in general with anyone besides you... I don't understand myself either... at all. She giggles, Kuro looks at her with the corner of his eyes
Kuro: I'm... the same. We've both changed each other too much. We're like completely Different people. He lightly sighs, Shiko looks at him
Shiko: That's... not a bad thing is it? She says with a light smile, Kuro takes a few seconds before answering
Kuro: I don't... think it is, no. He lightly giggles, Shiko giggles and lets out a breath of relief
Shiko: You... acted like a great big brother to that little girl. I'm proud of you~ She says and lightly hits Kuro's shoulder with her wrist, Kuro's eyes widen a bit as he looks at her
Kuro: Did you... learn that fist thing from Haru? He lightly starts laughing, Shiko gets slightly pink and averts her eyes
Shiko: I-Is it weird? Kuro calms himself and giggles shortly
Kuro: Naaah, just felt out of the blue. Suit yourself he ruffles Shiko's hair
They pass by a park with an open area on the side. They stop, both look at eachother, lightly smirk and nod. They get in the park, head to that area and start practicing fighting. They practice for about an hour and a half and stop around 18:30PM. Shiko Catches her breath, Kuro is for once breathing heavier but he's obviously not out of breath
Kuro: Heh. You are really getting better~ He says with a smirk and hands Shiko a half empty water bottle, Shiko nods as if thanking him, takes the water bottle and drinks it
Shiko: I.... I never thought I'd be able to move like that.. she wipes her sweat off her forehead with the back of her wrist
You... are a great teacher... she says, still breathing fast, Kuro keeps smirking
Kuro: Well you've certainly gotten faster but you've gotta control your breathing more. Maybe try keeping your upper body slightly more straight. I'm not giving it my all you know... he giggles smugly, Shiko stands up straight and finally calms her breathing
Shiko: I wasn't... giving it my all in the Ice Skating ring! She says and puffs her face, Kuro's smug look disappears at an instant. Shiko smirks as if saying "hah, I won this round."
Kuro: Oh shut up! He smirks again
If you catch up to my fighting like this without me giving my all; you'd probably be able to go against Haru!~ Shiko smiles brightly
Shiko: I'll do my best!~ she giggles
But we've only been practicing for a week. I can't keep improving this quickly... she says kinda confused, Kuro shucks his shoulders
Kuro: You're an observant person that even learns from watching. Your agility isn't bad either. Flexibility is also helping your case. He lightly smiles
With a situation like that; learning to fight is no big deal. Improving and finding your technique is the hard part. He smirks slightly, Shiko takes fighting position
Shiko: I...I'm gonna think on that. Second round? She says and lightly giggles, Kuro shakes his head no so Shiko stands normally again
Kuro: We've done enough for today. We've got school tomorrow. It's better to call it at this for now. He gets both of their bags and they start walking to Shiko's house. Shiko stretches her arms
Shiko: Today was... more fun than I thought...~ she lightly giggles, Kuro nods in agreement
Kuro: I don't know why this would be considered a "fake date" though... he shucks his shoulders. Shiko gets kinda pink
Shiko: "I... forgot about that... This was a date! Kinda... well it's fake anyway but now I'm embarrassed.." she slaps her face from both sides lightly and takes a breather, Kuro looks at her
Kuro: Now that I think about it. Will you go to school from home or go to school later tonight? Shiko sighs and looks at him
Shiko: Later... tonight. Maybe at like 20:00... or later? I want to spend some time with my sister too. We haven't used our two hours together... I've never skipped on her like today... she looks slightly down
Kuro: Want me to talk to your mother about that hour limit? Shiko shakes her head no
Shiko: Threre are some things that are better to leave alone... I don't want to get you involved... Kuro shucks his shoulders again
Kuro: Will your family take you to school? You won't walk will you? It'll be really late. Shiko looks at him, lightly smiles and shakes her head no
Shiko: My father is gonna call the family chauffeur over to take me there... Kuro sighs and nods
Kuro: That's fine I guess... tell me when you arrive at your dorm... Shiko smiles and nods
Shiko: You've... finished all of your work for this weekend by staying up all night right? Kuro nods. Shiko flicks his forehead
Don't overwork yourself to that extra, idiot... You already do work during the week... Kuro sighs and looks down with a light smile
Kuro: That's... different. The "YNTK" gathering is on the weekends. My work during the week is for money and i work with them on the weekends which is necessary work. Shiko sighs
Shiko: I... won't ask questions... Kuro looks at him and lightly smiles
Kuro: Thanks..
They start chatting about this and that before finally arriving in front of Shiko's house at around 19:00pm. Shiko knocks the door as Kuro gives her her bag. In a minute or two, Lisa and Hikari open the door together. Hikari hugs Kuro's legs
Hikari: Welcome baaack~ she says with a bright smile
Shiko: I feel like I lost my sister to you... she lightly giggles as she looks at them, then she looks at her mother and gulps at her serious expression, Lisa looks away from her and looks at Kuro
Lisa: You broght her back at a pretty proper time. Could I ask where you took her? She says with Little to no expression, Kuro respectfully bows slightly and nods
Kuro: We went to the library for two hours, the zoo for about an hour, walked around and ate at a cafe for about an hour in total, in an ice skating ring for an hour, hung around a part for about and hour and a half and came here. He lightly smirks, Shiko looks shocked
Shiko: Y-You kept track of that!?? She says trying not to be too loud in front of her mother. Kuro winks at Shiko as if saying he was being careful for Lisa's approval. Shiko gets kinda pink. Lisa smirks slightly.
Lisa: Impressive. She looks at Hikari, sighs and looks back at Kuro
I'll allow you two to take Hikari with you next time. Kuro giggles with a light smirk
Kuro: So I'm allowed a next time? Good to know. Lisa smirks again as Hikari let's go of Kuro's legs, she lightly bows, takes Hikari and leaves, Shiko looks at Kuro and lets out a sigh of relief
Shiko: Gee... you scare me with your bravery against my mother... she very lightly punches Kuro's chest, Kuro giggles
Kuro: If you speak up, your mother won't have a choice but get used to it. You can be just as brave. He ruffles Shiko's hair
Anyway... see you tomorrow. Don't forget to text me. He turns away and slowly walks away from the house.
Shiko looks behind him until he's out of sight and slowly closes the door. She gets in and goes up to her room after getting a small snack from the kitchen. She sits down on her desk and writes her day and thoughts into her diary. Shortly after she gets up and face plants into her bed. She lets out a breather.
Shiko: "Today really was fun... I felt like I was enjoying myself and not being dragged around..." she lightly giggles
"I guess this is the difference between fake friends that use you and someone true..." she smiles warmly and gets a little pink.
She lifts her head up and looks at the moon that has just come up a bit ago. She suddenly gets a notification

She messages her mother that she's ready and In about an hour she finishes getting her stuff and gets picked up from her home by the family chauffeur. At around 22:30, she arrives at the school and quickly rushes to her room without being seen. She puts her new clothes in her dorms closet and gets her bag ready for tomorrow. After finishing, she changes into her nightwear, gets in her bed and goes on her phone. She texts Kuro.
Shiko "I'm in the dorm now. I didn't end up seeing Hikari again but can't be helped I guess"

Shiko lets out a breather
