-August 31st, Saturday-
~Jade's POV~
"What?! Are you serious?" I ask him, with wide eyes. He nods his head, "Yeah, he's making the resignation announcement later today, which means I have to make my first speech as alpha." He confirms, and I hear his voice shake a little. He doesn't like being the center of attention when it comes to big big crowds, and now that Max has given him no choice, he's nervous. I straighten out the collar of his jacket with a smile on my face, and pull him closer to me. He runs his hands through his hair and he starts second guessing himself, "What if I suck as a leader? What if our whole faction starts to hate me?" He asks, and I simply shake my head.
"Don't you dare start doing that, I won't let you doubt yourself, especially now." I start with, and he looks down at me. "You're gonna be an amazing leader my love. Just like you were an amazing instructor. And I don't think you have to worry about them hating you, do you remember when Max gave you Eric's position? Do you remember the amount of people who raised their hands? They loved you before you were even a leader. You're the guy with only four fears, and as far as they know, you're also the guy who ranked top of his class but was too bad ass to take leadership, until now. Our people are fascinated by you because they don't actually know you, Tobias. They're basically like me, before we started dating. I always love that fact you resembled a book just sitting on a shelf. A book waiting to be read." I tell him, and I watch the corner's of his lips twitch into a smile a bit, "I mean, you're not wrong," He says, right before he shook his head and furrowed his eyebrows. "But what if I don't know what to say or something? Or worse, what if I have to make a huge decision for Dauntless and I choose wrong? And what about the meetings every month?" He questions, obviously upset. "Calm down love. And slow down too, in this very moment, you're still beta." I remind him, "And if you don't know what to say, all you got to do is practice on me. I'll be your faction." I also tell him. "And when that certain decision comes, I know you'll choose for the better. For the better of Dauntless. You've got this babe, I know you do. And if it gets to be too much, once again, you have me. I'll do whatever you need me to do." I add, and he gives me this look.
"Y'know," He start suspiciously, "Max did tell me I'm gonna need a step-in Beta, at least until after initiation and we test the top five ranked for leadership." He says, wiggling his eyebrows. I suppress a smile and shake my head, "Babe I am not cut out to be a leader, not even for a little bit." - "Come on, pleaseeee. And don't give me that; matter fact, you can't give me that. Did I ever tell you your percentage when we tested you for leadership?" He asks me, and I shake my head. "Ninety-five percent." He tells me, and I can't help but smile more. "Says the man who practically broke the machine when tested. You got an even one hundred. You're supposed to be a leader, not me." I remind him. He told me his percentage from when he was tested years ago, since he ranked first in his class.
"You know that was years ago, it may have changed. Speaking of which I might just take it again, for good measures." He says, and I roll my eyes. "And watch, an infinity sign is gonna pop up instead of a percentage." I say, and I made him laugh. "Stop inflating my ego, and be my beta-leader. At least for now. Miles can take over as transfer instructor for the rest of initiation." He begs, and he gives me his puppy dog eyes, and makes his bottom lip poke out. Ugh! He's such a big baby, "urghh, alright finneee. I can't say no to that face." I say, and he nearly jumps for joy, before kissing me all over my face. "Hehe, then that makes me your boss. You have to do everything I want now. Make me a sandwich." He jokes, "don't push it." I warn him, and we laugh.
***
"That's it, that's perfect. I really think you've got it babe." I tell him. He loved the idea of practicing on me so, after a bit of cuddling and a nap together, we did just that, after getting dressed too. And at first it was hard to focus since he was too cute using his little instructor-mode voice. Or more like, his leader-mode voice now. It's been amazing being able to watch him open up more and more to the idea of being a leader.
And now, he's going to be alpha. He's going to be the face, and the decider of Dauntless. 'EVERYONE, REPORT TO THE PIT FOR AN ERGENT ANNOUNCEMENT. I REPEAT, ALL DAUNTLESS MEMBERS, REPORT TO THE PIT FOR AN ERGENT ANNOUNCEMENT' The headquarters speakers sound off, just in time. I take my love's hand, and give him a reassuring smile before I pull him out of our apartment. We make it to the pit, and we spot Max already up on the pits main balcony.
Where he'd make all of his announcements; I just can't believe that today, he'll be making his last as alpha. Max has been an excellent alpha, of course minus the fact he'd still execute me and Tobias, along with the rest of my family here in Dauntless if he knew the truth but, other than that, he's an excellent leader. Or I mean, he's been an excellent leader, seeming only me and Tobias know what this announcement gathering is for. I look behind me, and I notice an abundance of Dauntless members pouring in. I spot my aunt with kids surrounding her and another female member that actually kinda looked like me.
She's a teacher and caregiver for the kids here in Dauntless, so when ever the parents here need to do their jobs and they have no one to watch their babies, they have somewhere to drop them off for the day. I give her a wave when she spots me, and she waves back before picking up a little girl and spinning her around. I look around some more while sitting next to Tobias, and wave over Lauren and my brother's once I spot them. They pop a squat on the cement block we were sitting on, and once they did, Miles spots Grace and calls her over to sit as well. And before we all know it, the pit is filled to the brim with people.
I look up and watch as Max raises a fist, indicating he wants silence. And it only takes a second for everyone to close their mouths. "I know you all are wondering why you are gathered here today at this very moment," He makes his voice boom, and I feel Tobias hold my hand tighter. "So, I'll just get straight to the point." He starts, and clears his throat. "I've been alpha for over a decade, and though they've been wondrous years, it's about time I realize I'm getting a bit old." He states with a chuckle, making me and Tobias laugh, along with a good chunk of the crowd behind and around us.
"And as much as I hate to say this, too old in fact, for the position I am currently holding. And that is why this announcement, will unfortunately be my last, as this factions alpha." He finally and officially announces, and everyone in the large sun-lit room, besides me and Tobias either gasp, whine, or complain. He raises his fist once more, "And as good as retirement sounds, I will certainly miss being this factions leader. Although my wife and kids won't." He jokes once more, gesturing off to the side of the balcony at this beautiful lady and two kids that looked about half my age. I laugh a bit, but also realize that's gonna be me and our kids in the future. If I don't become beta, the work of being alpha will steal away my love. If I do though, I can work with him, go with him to the meetings, and nothing will ever be 'top secret leader stuff' ever again, since I'll be a leader too.
It seems like a no brainer but, I also think about how that would also mean I'm next in line for being alpha. "But enough about me, given I'm the one clocking out. I'd like to welcome the man clocking in, a person many of you may already know," Max begins, and cheers burst from the crowd already. I smile and look over at Tobias, "Dauntless's beta-leader, Four. Get on up here young man." He announces, and the cheers and clapping got louder. He stands, obviously trying to suppress a gigantic grin on his face. He kisses my knuckles as my brother's hype him up some more by patting him on the shoulders and cheering as well.
"You've got this my love," I wish him, and he squeezes my hand a bit before releasing, and heads on up the stairs of the pits balcony. The cheers get even louder once he was in view of every Dauntless member. I whistle real loud, using both my pointer fingers and middle fingers. Max asks for silence once more, and as it quieted, majority left cheering where females, cat-calling my man while basically meters away from me. Max laughs, "Ladies ladies, let's not get out of hand. Four here is taken. Let's show respect to his lady down there." He says, and I glare at the females behind me, who of which whistled, even though they spotted both me and Tobias sitting together lovingly just moments ago.
They meet my gaze yet look away quickly. "Happily taken, might I add." My love raises his voice, and Max pats Tobias on the back. "You and me both pal." He comments, earning a wink from his wife and a few cheers from below. "See now," he pauses, "when I look at this gentlemen here, I tend to see a reflection of myself when I was younger, just barely entering the beta-leader ranking. Hopeful, diligent, but most importantly ready for anything at all." He adds. "I kicked a certain ex-beta out of the leadership ranking and purposely nominated Four here because at the time, I could see the future of Dauntless being in this mans hands. And I still do. And I won't name names, given said person may be in this very pit but, the last beta had hate in his heart. And there was no way I could resign, knowing Dauntless would be at his mercy. So I did something, I made this man here an upcoming leader and I don't think I'll ever regret doing so." Max gives his speech about Tobias, "And all I ever hope for, is for all of you to see him, just as I see him. As Dauntless's new alpha." He adds, "And so without further ado, Four, it's not required but, I think a speech would do you and our members some good, don't you think?" Max questions, and looks to be thinking about it. "Ehhh, I don't knowww." Heyyyyy, we practiced!
He better give one or I'm gonna be really mad. I get an idea and stand on the cement, "speech!" I shout, and I tap my brother's along with Lauren, and they stand up with me and we all chant. "Speech! Speech! Speech!" Getting the crowd to join in. Once basically every Dauntless member was chanting, he looks down at me with a smile, and I give him a wink as I sit back down and cross my legs.
My love raises his hand and balls it into a fist, just as Max did, and everyone quiets down. "Alright alright, I'll give you a speech." He starts, "But first, I guess all of you should know who I really am, given I have big shoes to fill." He continues, just as he said to me. "And uh, I'm pretty sure you all already assumed of such but, the number Four isn't actually my government name." He says, getting a laugh out of the crowd. "My real name," he leans over and grips the railing, I enhance my vision and see he was gripping it so tight, his knuckles were yellow. You've got this baby. He looks down at me, and I nod for him to go on.
He swallows hard, "is Tobias Eaton. And yes, the leader of Abnegation, and the man who basically runs the city is in fact my father." He announces loud and clear. And the crowd freaks out, I hear gasps and whispers, and I really had to focus to hear individual voices.
"Four is Tobias Eaton?!"
"Holy shit.."
"There's no way!"
"That makes complete fucking sense!"
"Is he serious?"
"I wonder if he's gonna debunk or confirm the rumors."
"He has the DNA of a natural born leader in him, I wouldn't want anyone else to be alpha."
"If the rumors are true, Marcus Eaton is a terrible man."
Is what I'm able to catch considering the amount of voices overlapping at once. "And I know what you're thinking 'Are the rumors true?' 'Did his own father beat him as a kid?' 'Did he leave his faction to escape?'" My love opens up to the crowd, and my heart pounds in my ears. "Well the answer to all three just so happens to be yes. I left Abnegation the first chance I got because well, my father was a man who wanted perfection. And as a kid, I couldn't give that to him. And neither could my mother." He pauses looking down at his shoes momentarily, "It was so bad, it got to the point my mother had to fake her own death to escape my father's abuse. She hid out within the faction-less, while I mourned and received the long end of a leather belt for seven years." He continues explaining, and I bite my lip in worry, hoping he'll be able to pull through without any hesitation. "And I don't hold it against my mother, since she wanted to bring me with her yet, was unable to, because of him. And although I wish I could say his torment against me and the woman who brought me into this world ended there but, it doesn't. Not even a day after my years choosing ceremony, my father found my mother and decided to teach her a lesson -as I vividly remember he would say it-, through a very cruel and heinous act. That of which left her to carry and care for my now six year-old little sister by herself, who of which I'm going to dedicate the rest of my life to protecting. Her, along with my mother. Regardless of the governments rules. Regardless of his, rules. So if you have a problem with me bringing them into Dauntless, be my guest and alert my father. I actually want him to know they're here, untouchable, but nonetheless here." He says, projecting his voice and looking around. "They're my family, but when it comes to Marcus? I'm disgusted at the fact I am biologically his son, and he's biologically my father." He announces with genuine hate in his tone.
"But enough about my life," He shakes his head, "Let me get to the real reason why I'm even up here. I'm going to be Dauntless's alpha, and so far, with Max's guidance, I feel confident in myself. I feel confident that I can pick up where this incredibly wise, and honorable man left off." He gestures over to Max, and Max tips his head to him with a smile. "And although, it won't be the same as him being alpha, I'll always put my all into being the best leader, I can possibly be. And as you should already know, I haven't been the most, open and outgoing person here in Dauntless. Given, before today, I wouldn't give a single speech as beta, and I would've rather be called a number then let anyone know my real name." He says with a chuckle, and he makes me and the crowd laugh once more, "That changes today though. There's no-more Four, the man, the myth and the mysterious legend. There's just," He pauses, "Tobias, the alpha of Dauntless." He adds, and I smile big. Exactly, how we practiced. And the next thing I know, the crowd behind me burst into cheers, whistles, screams and claps. I join in, and watch him soak up all the love.
That's my boyfriend. That's the love of my life up there. And he's officially the alpha now. And he looks- . . . happy, about it. "Now that? Was definitely a speech." Max says and claps, walking back over to the middle of the balcony.
"And before Tobias, here, introduces his beta step-in, I think another round of applause for Dauntless's new alpha would also be in order." Max insists, and the crowd starts back up, even louder this time, and my love smiles, and puts a hand on his chest. Oh no. "Alright alright, I'm flattered, but let's not inflate my already ginormous ego now though." He pauses, "But, my beta step-in is actually someone very dear to me; someone some may already know. " Here we go. I take a deep breath, and watch my older brother glance over at me. "My very beautiful, and very amazing girlfriend, Natalie Harris." He gestures down to me, and I hop up off the rock and head towards and up the stairs.
Male whistles start sounding off once I get into view, along with a few derogatory comments. I make it up there, and take his offered hand and he pulls me into a sweet hug, and kisses me on the forehead. "Whistle all you want fellas, she's not going anywhere, anytime soon." My love makes clear, and holds me while I scan the ridiculously large crowd. "Same goes for you females as well." I say playfully, but also loud and clear, as I make the 'I've got my eyes on you.' gesture towards the crowd. Tobias along with a bit of the crowd laughs, "For now, she'll be this factions upcoming leader. And maybe, just maybe, she'll take on the position permanently, depending on the next leadership testing percentages." He says to the crowd, squeezing me closer.
We look at each other once again, and I raise my eyebrow at him. And all he does is wiggle his eyebrows again, right before Max gestures to us, "Let's here it one last time for Dauntless's brand new leaders!" He shouts and the crowd goes absolutely wild, and both my love and I smile and wave. I look down at my family and friends and they were the wildest ones out of the many. After the cheers die down, we dismiss our members. Me and Tobias watch as majority file out the pit, back into the halls of Dauntless, celebrating.
We smile, just as Max approach's us. "My first speech wasn't as half as good as that." He says to Tobias, and my love holds out his hand to shake. "Don't start lying now old man." He says to him, and the two shake hands, laughing. Max looks over to me, "And you ma'am, I know you're only stepping in but, take care of this faction just as you been taking care of this one here. I never seen him happier, not to mention more open, than with you. And this faction could use such positivity." He tells me, and I nod with a smile, "Will do Max, neither of us will let you down." I tell him. "Oh I know you won't, trust me." He says, nearly joining his family before, "Oh, and one more thing." He says, digging into his pocket. He takes out two keys, "Becoming alpha may come with a lot of responsibility but," he hands Tobias the key, "it has its perks as well. We've cleaned the place up for you, and my family left a little something. Enjoy you two." He says genuinely, and takes his leave with his family.
My love looks at the keys and gasps, and hands it to me. Oh my god, it's the keys to apartment 'A1'. The alpha's apartment.
***
'A1'
We stand in front of the door, that of which had all the things our now old apartments door didn't have. It had a buzzer, a mail slot, multiple locks and the letter was gold while the number was silver. Me and him look at each other, and he insists that I open it and go in first. I do, taking a breath first before twisting the door knob and stepping in. And I could barely believe my eyes.
It was a two story apartment, with spiral stairs off to the side of the front door. I walk-in further, and my heart nearly bursts at the sight of a penthouse sunset view. The windows were tall and wide, not to mention clear, instead of multi-colored. "Oh my goodness." I breath, walking past a pillar that held up the inside balcony. The railings were a shiny silver, and I could spot two doors and a deep hallway up there.
Below it though, laid a clean leather couch and a matching loveseat. With an all glass coffee table in the center of them, plus a plush and fluffy black rug underneath it. I look to my left and spot the cutest kitchen ever. It was underneath the rest of the indoor balcony/upstairs hallway, and it had a huge island counter, with the stove built into it. I step into the kitchen and stop right in front of the electric flat-top stove.
I turn around and spot the two door refrigerator, that had a big bottom drawer, that apparently, is a freezer. I walk around the island, gliding my hand across the marble countertop. And I notice a plater of cookies, and what looked to be very colorful keychains along side a note. I read it, 'Made with love, ~Onika, Akala, and Brandon.' I pick up both but examine the pink keychain first, which had heart charms all over it. I look at the black one, and it had fire charms on it.
His wife must've made the sweet treats and his son and daughter must've made these. I look up and spot my love, with his hands on his head in amazement. I hand him his keychain and he smiles down at it before putting his key on it, and so do I, "This place is already amazing, and we haven't even been upstairs yet." He says with a laugh, and I can hear his voice echo a bit. I walk up, grab his hand and lead him back towards the door, and up the spiral stairs. I notice the change in flooring while stepping up each stair.
Downstairs is wood and tile, and upstairs is carpet. We spot these double doors and decide to go in through those first, and come to find out it's a den. It had a matching desk and rolling chair in the very center, and bookshelves full of books, covering all the walls. But the one thing I immediately notice is the neat stack of folders, notebooks and papers on the desk, along side another note. I walk over and pick it up, "Left this behind for you - Max." I read aloud to my love, and he walks around the desk and opens the first folder.
And it turns out to be the notes Max took over the years of being alpha. He smiles down at it, "That man is a life saver." He comments under his breath, reading the first page. I admire how attached his eyes got to the old notes, and I smile at him. He sits down, getting even more into it, and I shake my head walking over to him. "Uh uh, get your butt up. We still got like seven more rooms to go look at my love." I say, and pulling him out the chair.
"But, but," - "No buts, you'll have plenty of time to look all of that over later. Come see the rest of what you earned." I interrupt him, taking his hand as we walk out of his den. We step into the hallway, and spot literally six doors. The first one, was obviously Brandon's room. The walls were painted dark blue, and his bed, was a red race car. I look over at Tobias, imagining our first son.
His light brown eyes, my curly hair, his smile, my freckles. Ugh. My heart throbs at the handsome little boy I'm picturing. The next room though, was Akala's. The room was pink with little stars hand painted all over.
The bed was very princess-like, and there were fairy lights lining the walls. I fell in love with the room instantly. I admire the lights, with a hand over my mouth in awe. I glance over at my love and he seemed to be admiring me, instead of the room. "What?" I ask, squinting my eyes at him.
He shakes his head, "Oh nothing, it's just, I've been thinking." He says, and I raise an eyebrow. "About?" I ask, curiously. "Our future daughter or daughters. But mainly, I've been thinking about you." He says, and reaching into his pocket. My heart nearly falls to my toes for some reason, yet it jumps back up once I see it's just a picture. "Your dad gave and showed me this picture when he asked for only me that night." He tells me, and he hands me it.
And I realize it's a picture of me, when I was about his sisters age. I wonder why, considering it wasn't a happy visit. "Why?" I ask, and he tucks multiple curls behind my ear. "Because," He starts, "He wanted me to see what he sees, every time we come to visit. Every time he thinks of you actually." He explains, and my bottom lip starts poking out. "And, in a slight sense, he said to me 'I don't think you truly know what it means and what it takes to be a husband or a father.' and wait, before you react," He stops me, just before I flipped a lid.
"I just want you to know, and also get used to the fact I will never, and I mean never, give up on proving him wrong." He tells me, keeping his eyes with mine. My heart melts, and I get all lovey dovey. I snuggle into his chest, sighing a bit, while I wrap my arms around him. I hear his heartbeat quicken, just as he wraps his arms around me. "I love you." I mutter, and he kisses my head.
"I love you too." He responds, just before I released and he pulls me to the the master bedroom. Our bedroom. He opens the door, and I gasp instantly. It was obviously just above the living room down stairs, since the clear windows lined one whole wide wall of the room and above. And by above, I mean above us.
It curved perfectly, just like the clear glass ceiling above the pit. There was light switch for this beautiful chandelier hanging yet, at the moment, it was unneeded. The sunset shined magnificently through the windows and into our bedroom. I step in some more, and my jaw drops at the sight of our bed. It was a tall, king size canopy bed, with black lace curtains and silk sheets.
~MATURE CONTENT AHEAD~ (Continue at ***.)
Along with silk blankets and pillows. The holy grail of all beds. I tense up a bit when Tobias hugs me from behind, given I'm in shock at the looks of our room. Not to mention, this bed, is perfect for a couple. It's romantic, it's sexy and it just, sets the mood.
"Relax, it's just me. What's wrong? Do you not like our room?" He asks quite softly near my ear, and even though they we're just simple questions, it makes me quiver. "No, it's actually the very opposite of that. It's perfect." I answer him, and I cringe a little when I hear my voice shake. "Hmm." I hear from him, and he presses my waist closer to his. "It's something else isn't it?" He questions, quite sultry. He knows.
I nod, and he moves my hair from the right side of my neck, to the left. His lips find their way onto the right side, and I bite my bottom lip while I let my head fall back onto his shoulder a little. His hands trail from my waist, to underneath my shirt, gliding up against my skin. I shutter yet, I snap out of it just in time and stop him, taking his hands out from underneath my shirt. I turn around and give him a taste of his own medicine.
I start kissing, nibbling and sucking on his neck, wrapping my arms around it, trailing my fingers into his hair. I nibble his earlobe, and I give him two hickeys, making soft and cute little noises as I do so. And once I tried to get a third one in, he stops me, and I look to see he was clenching his jaw while looking me up and down. I do the same to him and I see why his jaw is clenched. I palm him, through this pants.
Biting my lip while I look deep into his chocolate eyes. He sighs, looking down at what I'm doing, and then back up into my eyes. We lock lips again, and this time, it felt different. It feels like he wants me, like really wants me, right now. He wants me like uh, like I've-been-wanting-him type of wants me.
He stops kissing me momentarily to say, "You win." Quite breathlessly. I broke him. I finally broke him. He picks me up, and tosses me all the way onto our bed. But unlike all the other times, he stands at the edge of it, and does the unexpected.
He unbuttons my pants, and pulls them down and off my legs. I pull off my shirt, and I make him do the same. I sit up, and stop him from undoing his belt, and I start to undo it and his pants myself. He drops and steps out of them, leaving him in a loose pair of black boxer shorts. He reaches behind me with one hand, and unclips my bra.
I throw it off, and he lays me back down, and crawls on top of me, nestling in between my spread legs. He kisses me again, very sensually. I kiss him back, with my arms resting over his shoulders, nearly clawing his back already. I spread my legs a bit more, and for some reason he lifts up off me down there. And I realize for what when holds himself up with one hand and glides the other down the front of my body.
He scoots down a little, and goes for my main weakness once again. "Oh Tobias." I moan, and I feel as his fingers find their way into my panties. I moan as he softly circles my core, but I tense up when glides past it, and his middle finger rested against my feminine entrance. He looks at me, and I nod for him to go on. He sits up and places his other hand on my tummy, and begins to insert only his middle finger.
I whimper at the feeling, given it feels painful. He stops, and proceeds to slowly pump only half of his finger in, and out of me. At first it still hurt, but after a while, I made his finger undeniably slick, and I started to feel it. I gasp at the new feeling, and my eyes roll back as he travels deeper, barely hitting this heavenly spot inside of me. I whine, and roll my hips in a certain direction, and it was like he knew he wasn't hitting it, because just then, he curled his finger.
I moan, I cuss, and I arch my back. Unfortunately though, all the pleasant feelings stopped once he added his ring finger into the mix. I stop him by sitting up a bit and grabbing his wrist, pouting at the harsh feeling. "Baby, that hurts. It's too much." I tell him, and he bites his lip. "You are really tight. I wanna do this so you get used to the feeling. Because you have a lot more than just the size of my finger to get used to. I'll go as slow as you need." He reassures, and I peck his lips and give him a nod before laying back down.

(Continue here pure ones. Natalie finally broke Tobias out of asking his silly question, but the further they got into it, the more Natalie realized she was simply not ready.)
And for some reason, anxiety creeps into my bloodstream. I realize what's happening, and how close I am to really letting it happen. My body starts shaking, and I pray to god he doesn't notice. But of course, he eventually does. He stops, and gets on his knees in between my legs, and glides a hand down each of my legs.
Stopping them from shaking. "I scared you didn't I?" He asks, obviously already upset with himself. "No babe, it wasn't you." - "Yes it was, I made you remember the only bad part about this." He stops me, and I avoid his eye contact, only because I realized he's right. I cover my face with my hands, really embarrassed. And even they start shaking.
The moment the word 'size' fell from his lips, I realized I was not ready for this. I know I was the one begging him to finally give it to me but, I never took a second to realize it's going to hurt. He's basically the width of three fingers, and four inches away from the length of a whole ruler. So yeah, it's definitely not gonna feel pretty on my end. He takes my hands from my face, and pulls me up into a sitting position.
"Hey," He says, "look at me," He adds, considering my eyes were stuck in my lap. He lifts my chin up, so I could meet his eyes. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about Natalie." He tells me, and I shake my head. "Yes there is, I finally broke you. I finally made you give up on asking your question and now, I'm shaking like a leaf at the thought of the it. I-I'm sorry." I explain, and can't help but get choked up a little. I feel so misleading.
"No no, none of that. Don't you cry. Don't you apologize either." He caresses my cheek, "My love, it is okay. I am not upset. I am still willing to wait. Matter of fact," He lays down, and beckons for me to come lay on him. I smile, sucking up the forming tears. I lay my head on his chest, and wrap my arm around him. He wraps both of his arms around me, and kisses my head. "Please, don't ever be embarrassed about not being ready. No matter if you made it seem like you were. I'm here for the long run, we have nothing but time on our hands. I can definitely wait." He reassures, and I close my eyes with a smile across my face, as he lifts the silk sheet over both of us.
"And even then, it won't be waiting to me. It'll be spending my days being able to call you mine." He tells me, and my heart warms. A few silent and peaceful minutes go by and just before I fell asleep, "I'm gonna marry you first anyways, just you wait." Is what I hear.
