Teresaâs P.O.V
âMm...â I stir up from my sleep as I feel bright light on my face. I turn to the other side and hug my blanket. Absentmindedly opening my eyes to see a room I donât recognize, I immediately wake up, In a panic, I sit up in bed and look around to see an unfamiliar, opulent room. I blink thrice and try to process my mind but Iâm all blank. I slowly stand up only to find myself in a shirt, what the hell!! I immediately jump back into the bed, covering myself with the blanket.
Panic seizes me and I freeze on the spot. What the hell happened?!!
âGood morning miss drunkard, slept well?â
I immediately turn my head to the direction of the voice and saw HIM, my ex-husband leaning against the door, holding a glass of water with a smirk plastered on his face. Seeing him I felt heavy burden lift away from my heart, but tears filled my eyes. âYou jerk! You did this on purpose!â I yell at him and throw the pillow at him.â
He saw me panicking, when I felt like dying he was enjoying with a smirk. He caught the pillow in midair, before it hit his face and narrowed his eyes at me.
DAMN! Heâs mad at me again! I lowered my eyes. âBut what are you doing here?â I ask him.
âOh would you rather have Mr. Drew here? Sorry for disappointing you.â He answers coldly.
âI didnât mean that...â I raise my voice but seeing him glare at me, I got quiet.
âHere, have it. And I trust your brain, I know youâll remember.â He holds out a glass in front of me.
I slowly take it and have a sip. I slowly look at him and see him glaring at me; I gulp and immediately look down at the glass of water in my hands. I look around at the room and god! Itâs a mess. Did I do all this? I try to remember.
âYouâre angry?â I slowly look at him. âAnger is a very small word for what Iâm feeling right now.â He gives a wicked smile.
I try to change the subject, âWhere are we?â
âHotel.â
âWhy a hotel?â
âFigure it out yourself.â He hisses.
âAt least give me some hints.â I lower my gaze and pout.
âFine, my carâs company is having a tough time because of the stunts you pulled last night.â I can feel his cold glare piercing me.
I gasp.
Flashback
Third personâs P.O.V
âMiss Scarlet, our car is this way.â Marcus Drew tries to hold Teresa in a place but she shrug his hands off and walks to the road.
âAhhh!!!â She shout as a car screeches in front of her. She shuts her eyes but nothing hits her, She slowly opens one eye then the other and smiles seeing the car stop just few centimeters away from her.
âWhat the hell??â The driver shout at her. She look at the driver seat closely only to find her ex-husband widening his eyes with surprise. âOh ex-husband! hello!â She waves at him.
âWhat the hell are you doing here?â He gets off from his car and raises his brows in confusion.
âMiss Scarlet!â Mr. Drew comes running towards us. âAre you okay?â He holds her arm.
âDo not touch her!â Ryouma pulls her toward him and glares at his business rival now turned love rival. âWhy are you here?â
âThatâs none of your business, Carlton.â Mr. drew narrows his eyes at him. âMiss Scarlet, letâs get you home.â He holds out his hand to Teresa.
âShe isnât going anywhere with you.â Ryouma slaps his hands away. âYou donât decide that.â He retorts.
Teresa manages to slip away while they both glare at each other.
âYou stay away from her.â Ryouma glares at Marcus Drew.
âYou donât tell me what I do.â He retorts.
âDrew Iâm telling you not to mess with me, especially her.â Ryouma glares at him.
âWell Carlton, Iâm not messing with anyone and if itâs Miss Scarlet weâre talking about then Iâve already told her and Iâll make it clear to you too, I am serious about her and Iâm not giving up on her at least not for you. I heard from her just now, how much youâve made her cry so I donât think you have any right to fight over her. You had your chance Carlton, and you miserably lost and let her go. Now itâs my turn and Iâm not stupid like you to let her walk away from me. I promise Iâll treasure her more than you could or would ever have.â Marcus declares a war.
âSo excuse me.â Marcus tries to go but Ryouma blocks his way. âOh no, youâre not!â
âTeresa isnât going anywhere with you and itâs not you who decides who deserves her and who doesnât. Itâs her decision, I know I was a jerk and my stupidity made me lose her. But, sheâs mine and mine alone. And if youâre going to stick your nose between us then Iâll make sure to break that lovely nose of yours.â Ryouma threatens him.
âOh Carlton, itâs not just my nose but my entire self with stand between you guys because Iâm not giving up on her.â Drew smirks.
âThen I guess Iâll have to crush your entire self then.â Ryouma narrows his eyes at him.
âAre you throwing a challenge? Aww but donât go crying when she chooses me.â Drew teases him clicking his tongue.
âYouââ
They are brought back to the real world as Teresa drums on Ryoumaâs carâs horn. She sticks her head out of the window and calls out to her ex-husband. âCome, come letâs go home!â She shouts.
âI guess we know her decision. Want a tissue to wipe your tears?â Ryouma mocks his rival.
Ignoring him Drew lowers himself down at Teresaâs level, âMiss Scarlet, are you sure youâre going with him?â
âWhoâre you?â She frowns.
Ryouma bursts into laughter. âSorry... donât mind me.â He tries to suppress his laugh.
âOh yes yes I remember you, Mr. Drew! I was here to have a dinner with you! Ah I remember.â She nods and smiles proudly, proud that she remembers.
âMiss scarlet I think I should drop you home, I donât trust this guy here. I have your dad to answer to.â Drew smiles at her.
âOh! Itâs okay. We live close. Itâll just be trouble for you to drop me, Heâll drop me. Bye Bye.â She waves at him and pulls the window over.
âI think you heard the lady, ouch did your ego just crumble down? Very sad, tsk, tsk.â Ryouma clicks his tongue.
Marcus ignores him and knocks Teresaâs window pane. She opens it and blinks. âBye Miss Scarlet. Thank you for the dinner, I hope to see you again.â He smiles at her.
âSure.â She nods and smiles back. Ryouma scowls. Marcus rolls his eyes and walks off.
âTeresa, shift to your seat.â He points at the passenger seat. She pouts.
âWait, youâre drunk?â He glares at her. She smiles slyly. âOh Damn!â He rubs his forehead. âokay, just go to your seat.â He sighs.
She shakes her head and crosses her arms. âOr we wonât be able to get home.â He nods sadly at her. She hurriedly shifts. âLetâs go home!â She grins.
âMom must be waiting!â She smiles at him.
âMom? Sheâs not here, Teresa.â
âWhy? Youâre not taking me home?â She asks innocently.
âI am but youâre going your home.â He replies.
âNo! I want to go home. I miss mom. Take me home.â She pokes his arm.
âTeresa, weâre in different city right now.â
âSo what? take me home!!!â She shouts.
âOkay stop shouting, Iâll take you tomorrow.â He tries to convince her but in vain.
âNooooo!!! NOW!!â She shouts.
âWe canât get home today by this car. So letâs just get you your home today, hmm?â He looks at her hopefully. She glares at him and pulls the car keys out.
âHey!!â He shouts as the car halts screeching. âAre you mad?â He glares at her.
âwhatâs the use of this car then, if it canât get me home?â She gets off the car. Ryouma follows her out. âTeresa, do not mess with me. Iâm already trying to control my anger do not test me.â He pulls her by her arms..
âThen get me home NOW!â She stomp her feet.
âWe canât.â
âFine then.â She throws the carâs key. âYOU MAD WOMAN!â He yells.
âWhatâs the use of this stupid car if it canât even get me home?â She pouts.
âDamn you, my car!â He holds his head worriedly.
âI hate your car! Itâs another co-wife.â She hits him.
âWhat?â
âFirst your work, second your car Iâm third? And youâre scolding me because of this stupid car? which canât even get me home.â She cries.
âDamn that Drew! Who told him to get you drunk?! Iâm going to kill him the next time I see him.â He shouts pulling his hair in frustration.
He looks at his ex-wife, who was now sobbing sitting down on the road, he sighs. âNo of course not, Teresa. Youâre the one and only. Look Iâll beat this car for you.â He kicks the Tyre. âSee? Stop crying now. I love only you, âkay?â
âOkay!â She smiles. âPhew!â He sighs with relief. âNow letâs go home!!â She springs up.
How am I suppose to get you home after you threw my car keys? He mutters.
âYay! Piggy back ride.â She shouts excitedly being carried on his back. âWhy did you have to have dinner in a quite place like this? We canât even get a cab!â He yells at her.
âHe had a meeting there thatâs why.â She answers kicking her legs, hanging by the side.
âBut how did you know Iâm here? Were you stalking me again?â She asks excitedly.
âNo, I just had a meeting near that restaurant.â He sighs thinking what has he gotten himself into.
âIâm disappointed.â She clicks her tongue and pouts.
âWhy you want me to stalk you?â He asks her amusingly.
âYes, youâre my cute stalker.â She giggles and tightens her arms around him.
âLooks like getting you drunk once in a while can be good.â He laughs at her words.
âUgh...â âStop... stop.â She hit his back.
âWhat?â
âIâm going to puke...ugh....â
âwait.... wait...â He drops her immediately.
âYuck Teresa!â He cringes his nose as she dirties his expensive suit as well as her dress.
âOops sorry.â She mutters before losing her conciousness.
Hotel room
âDamn you, I take it back, anyone gets you drunk Iâm going to kill that person.â âGet up, you canât sleep with those clothes.â He tries to pull her up from the bed.
âMmm... sleepy...â
âYes, yes but you need to get changed first, get up sleepy head.âHe carries her to the bathroom and opens the shower. âHere, after the bath wear this.â He hands her his shirt.
âWhat will you wear then?â She blinks.
âIâll manage and Iâm giving you just for a while until the hotel staffs arrange a pair of clothes for you. So for now, shower and wear this.âHe orders and turns on the shower for her and stands outside the bathroom.
âDonât you dare sleep there.â He threatens from the door.
âYup.â
âDone?â
âDone... what should I do now?â
âWear the shirt idiot.â
âOk done...Now?â
âCome out without hitting your head somewhere.â
âOkay.â After few seconds she comes out and grins. âWhat?â He glares at her.
She rolls her eyes and begins to look at everything in the room, turning them upside down.
âYouâre not sleepy now?â
She doesnât reply and continue to turn things upside down.
As sheâs busy checking every item on the room, there is a knock on the door. As Ryouma opens the door the girl blushes seeing him shirtless, âSir, clothes for...mam.â She says flustered.
Teresa opens the half opened door, âthank you, bye.â She glares at her. The girl ignores Teresa and smiles at Ryouma, âShould I take your eyes off? Heâs mine!â She almost jumps at the girl scaring her.
Ryouma pulls her back and smiles nervously at the girl, âSorry, my wife is too drunk.â
âYou heard him, I'm his wife! Now get out!â She glares at the girl. âiâm sorry mam.â The girl bows quickly and runs off. Teresa shuts the door and glares at her ex-husband who raises his hands and shakes his head in horror.
âTeresa, go and get changed into these.âHe hands over the clothes.
âNope.â She shakes her head throwing the bag.
âI need my shirt back.â He sneezes.
âNope, itâs my favorite.â She hugs herself and smiles. He freezes for a moment and blinks. âAnd I thought this night couldnât get any tough than this.â He mutters and face palms himself. He shakes his head. âBut Iâm cold, Teresa.â
âBe that way, you were having fun showing off your hot body to that girl before. Youâre hot enough I know youâll manage and....â She glares at him.
âWhat..n-now?â He gulps.
She picks up the bed-lamp and throws at his direction, he dodges it with just a centimeter.
âHow dare you divorce me?!!â She shouts.
âTeresa, calm down!â
âDo hell with calm! Whatâs that?â She throws a flower vase, he ducks his head and glares at her.
âIâm sorry!â He tries to approach her but she picks up another vase and throws at him.
âYou jerk! How dare you divorce me and run away?â She throws one thing after another, barely managing to dodge all the things he runs around the room. âSo this was why you were looking around the room a while ago?â He shouts.
âOuch!â Finally the TV remote hits his head. âYou made me cry! One week! ONE BLOODY WEEK! and you wonât even take me to mom.â She sits on the bed and starts crying. âIâm so lonely...â She mutters before falling asleep.
Flashback ends
âI wonât say sorry for this.â She pouts pointing at the broken things in the room. âIf you didnât go on a business trip I would have made you cry instead of crying by myself.â She glares at him.
âI know, you should have done just that and I shouldnât have gone anywhere. I would have rather gotten myself beaten up than suffering now.â He sighs. âBut you think Iâm angry on this?â He glares at her. Teresa gulps and eyes the bathroomâs door. âYOU LIED TO ME!â He approaches her but she dashes to the bathroom and locks the door.
âTeresa! Get the hell out! NOW!â He yells.
âOh boy!â She mutters biting her nails.
