Did brown eyes just leave without locking the door. Damn. Have I put the bar that low. Do they think I'm incapable of anything, or what? Annoying little rats. Now that I think about it, blue eyes had been in my house once upon a time. What was that about? and then he was there when he scooped me off the road.

To think I had been excited about my first time getting kidnapped. My excitement however seems to slowly vanishing into thin air. How much longer will I be waiting here. Did they kidnap me just to have me locked in a room. Not that it's locked anymore. And for the love of god, couldn't they find a more claustrophobic room.

I lean back in the chair. throwing one leg over the other. fucking amateurs. he should have bound my feet together or to the chair. not that it would have stoped me.... but god....AMATURES!!!

Maybe I should take the unlocked door as an invitattion to join them. yes I should join them. I'm thirsty anyway. might as well get a glass of water out off this.

Ethan P.O.V

she just walked out, as if its the most normal thing in the word. as if she wasn't kidnapped, as if its her house and we are the guests. she was headed right to the kitchen. As if she already new it would be there. not minding the gun pointed right at her. she opens a couple of cabinets looking for something. I turn my head to glance at Ravi, he looks just as shocked. when I look back at her, she's holding a glass looking satisfied. she goes to fill it with water before speaking. "the service here sucks, but I had a good conversation with him" she raises the glass slightly at Ravi and continues with "So I'll give 3 out of 5 stars" and then she takes a couple of sips from the glass "tho I can't say the same about the obsessive cafe guy. He is a huge part of the lacking stars. is he always this grumpy?" the question is aimed at Ravi, no doubt.

Still holding the gun in my hand I slightly turn my head to look at Ravi. Ravi is holding a gun pointed at her as well. he looks stunned. his eyebrows still raised. but then I see amusement creep into his expression. he smiles, lowers the gun and then shrugs "most off the time yes, but not towards me. I'm sad to inform you but you're in the receiving end of his grumpiness." why the fuck would he lower his gun???

I look back at her, she's looking around the house now, from the floor to ceiling windows and an to the counter that splits the kitchen from the living room. then she sets the glass down on the counter. "What a beautiful house right?" the question is unexpected. and the expression she has is... I don't know how to explain it. it's as if she knows something we don't. as if there is something she just realized. something obvious, that we are oblivious to.

she walks around the counter. Her eyes fixated on me. "I would say you're a cop, but then I don't really think so, maybe an agent." And she looks at Ravi. narrowing her eyes, than she raises her eyebrows. as if just realizing something else "you didn't forget to lock it" she says. its not a question its a statement, there is humor in her voice. Ravi shrugs. "maybe." WAIT what now? I know better than to question Ravi, but a little heads up would have been appreciated. I look at Ravi and then back at Riley. They both look like they know something the other doesn't. And I feel left out. they keep the eye contact as if it's some type of competition to see who wins, who would back down and surrender. Had Ravi told me, I wouldn't have been left out right now.

It's Riley who backs down first. "Fiiinne" She huffs out. Like a child who did get her candy. she takes slow steps towards the couch. "You can put dow the gun now, it looks ridiculous. We both know your not going to shoot me" She says nonchalantly not even looking at me while she goes to sits down on the couch. I look at Ravi. he nods and I lower the gun down. Then Ravi speaks up "Are you going to start talking?" the question aimed at Riley. "Depends on how much you reciprocate"

She leans in to take her phone back from the table. The second she swipes up the phone is unlocked, and everything seems to work just as it is supposed to. how the fuck. I look at Ravi. he looks just as stunned and that is all I needed to know. this is extraordinary. she didn't even push on any bottom. The phone that got wiped out because Ravi tried to unlock it, is unlocked, and everything is back. she goes on to check something. Then puts the phone down and leans back, resting her head on the couch. She looks from me to Ravi. slightly moving her head in each direction. "What now? you're not going to start asking? fine let me start" she says. and stands up. looking at me, for once she lets her feelings slip. Anger, no maybe hate, or vengeance, whatever it is, it's not good. Her venomous feelings, the split fall of her mask, makes a small amount of fear to enter my blood stream. She's good at masking her feelings. "Let's start with you" she says. Resentment clear in her voice. thats when I realize, she isn't trying to hide it right now. she didn't slip. It was a conscious decision. "Why were you there? Who's side are you really on?" she looks me up and down. As if she hasn't decided what to do with me yet. Still pretty confused I look at her. Why am I the one getting questioned right now. SHE is the one who got kidnapped. Still pretty engrossed in my mind I see Ravi step in front of me. Gone is his calm manner, and the humorous tone in his voice. This feels like his mask is slipping. I don't see his face, but I know they're on to another stare down.

The next one to speaks is Ravi. "Better sit down young lady" he practically spits out the last part. and thats all it takes. Rileys mask is back on. she has a smile on her face now. The scary part? It looks genuine. she raises both hand. takes a step back. "wow big boy, no need to get this frustrated now. it was a simple question. What was he doing there?" She looks up at me again, as if to say talk. But as always, the second her eyes find mine, she has this reaction. I can't seem to explain it at all. It's as if she is taken a back each time, as if she forgot I look like this, as if.. Well I don't know. Looks a lot like grief, anger and confusion, and it makes no fucking sense. I shouldn't read too much into one look. But I can't seem to control It where she is concerned.

"Fine, let's all sit down and THEN, I'll answer you question." I say. She nods and goes to sit down. Both me and Ravi stand a little dumb founded, that felt like an uno reverse card. As if we were the once exaggerating. we go on to sit down apposite to her. I break the silence. "I was looking for mason." I say, staying truthful. I bet she can read me like a book anyway. selected truth it is. "I'm not on anyones side, it's personal" she narrows her eyes then look at Ravi. "what about you?" I can feel Ravi smiling "Told you, I will back him up no questions asked" I thought he was trying to find out if she was okey. When the hell did they start talking about that. why am I missing out right now.

"Great, then you'd know he is involved with shades cartel" a statement, not a question. somehow I'm not surprised she figured that out. "Why did you help me out at the cafe?" Now that, that is a question. the truth is, I don't know. I could have outed her. for all I knew, and know now, she could have been as bad a person as the people in that gang. No one seems to mind my lack of answer. I wish I had an answer. But there is none. How am I supposed to explain the feeling I got, the urge to act the way I did. I frown. Ravi speaks up "our turn to ask actually." he says. I'm still pretty confused. I never sat to think about why before. I'll have to deal with that question later. "what happened there Riley? Where is mason?" She narrows her eyes at Ravi, she opens her legs wide and puts her hands under her head. leaning back. looking up at the ceiling. one off her legs starts bouncing slightly. It's not a nervous tic. She's thinking. I speak up next "A better question would be, what were you running from?" she mumbles just than. I could barely make out the words 'I would never run away' she said. she must have not realized she'd said it. If she wasn't running away, than were was she headed. but I don't ask that. she won't answer anyway.

She then straightens up again her hands on her knees she leans forward. "I don't know who mason is." She says carefully, and then adds on to say "Is there a photo?" I look at Ravi, he nods. I pull up a photo on my phone and show her. She looks at the photo. Not betraying a single emotion. The right word would be blank. Her face is completely blank. No recognition, no confusion. She doesn't even take a second look at the picture. The problem with this action is, it gives you away, either you want it or not. She is hiding something. Why have a blank face if not to hiding something. She then nods her head "Why are you looking for him?" The question aimed at Ravi. I narrow my eyes at her. Is she?... no she wouldn't. but what if... "are you trying to protect him right now?" I ask. and I see it. right there. the way her eyes so swiftly found mine. I smile, "oh now now Riley. you ARE protecting him." I say, slightly tilting my head.

She leans back again. Crossing her arms in front of her. "if you tell me the truth, I will tell you the truth. is that a deal?" She says. It's aimed right at me. I nod and say "deal." She nods as well. "Did you or did you not sent the group that came after him?" I get a little taken a back. She is protecting him. This question in it self is proof, she saw what happened. "No, I didn't send them there. And just to make it completely clear, I DON'T want him dead." She just looks at me for a while. No doubt trying to figure out if I'm lying. Whether to trust me or not. "I don't know where he went. I simply told him to run." She looks unhappy about what she just said.

Just then she stands up "I want a bathroom break" she says and turns around. Takes one step and then she stops. A little hesitant. And just as she turns around i realize why. She doesn't know where it is. I stand up before she get to say anything. Showing the way. I stand not far away from the bathroom. Wait until she get out. There is no windows in the bathroom. I never thought about the possibility of her trying to run away. But Its been an hour, she still hasn't gotten out.

When we finally open the door, all I see is an empty bathroom, and a note on the sink.
