Chapter 43: A Late Arrival
---
At Kenan, Arda, and BarıÅâs Apartment
The guysâ apartment was bustling with energy as Duru and Rosé arrived, their cheerful laughter filling the space. BarıŠgreeted them at the door, flashing his usual mischievous grin.
"Welcome, ladies. Youâre just in time to witness me destroy Arda in FIFA," BarıŠannounced proudly.
"Thatâs not happening," Arda called from the couch, adjusting the controller in his hands.
Rosé walked in, rolling her eyes playfully.
"This place is exactly as chaotic as I imagined it would be."
Duru laughed, taking a seat beside Arda.
"And we love it that way."
Kenan appeared from the kitchen, holding a bowl of snacks. His eyes immediately scanned the room.
"Whereâs Y/N?"
"Still at the studio," Rosé replied, grabbing a handful of popcorn. "Sheâs recording. She said sheâd come by as soon as sheâs done."
Kenan frowned slightly but quickly masked it with a nod.
"She works too much," he muttered under his breath.
"Thatâs Y/N for you," Duru said with a shrug. "Sheâll be here."

Recording Session
Back at the studio, Y/N was immersed in her work. The track was almost finished, but every time she played it back, she felt the need to tweak something. The producer gave her a reassuring nod.
"Itâs sounding great, Y/N. One more take and weâre good."
Y/N nodded, adjusting her headphones. Despite her exhaustion, she poured her heart into the final take, determined to get it right.
When the session finally ended, she checked her phone and saw several messages from Rosé and Duru.
Rosé: Where are you?
Duru: Kenan keeps pacing. Hurry up!
Y/N smiled to herself, quickly gathering her things and heading out the door.

The Late Arrival
By the time Y/N arrived at the apartment, the sun had already set. She knocked on the door, slightly out of breath from rushing. BarıŠopened it, smirking.
"Look who finally decided to show up."
"Donât start," Y/N said, stepping inside.
Kenan appeared almost instantly, his expression softening when he saw her.
"Youâre late," he teased gently.
"Blame the studio," Y/N replied, setting her bag down.
"I was starting to think youâd ditched us," Kenan added, though his tone was more relieved than accusatory.
Y/N gave him a small smile.
"Not a chance."
---
Catching Up
The group quickly fell into their usual rhythm, with laughter and teasing filling the room. Y/N sat between Rosé and Duru on the couch, catching up on everything sheâd missed.
"So, what did I miss?" Y/N asked, leaning back.
"BarıŠlosing at FIFA," Arda said with a grin.
"Thatâs fake news," BarıŠshot back. "I was warming up."
Kenan, who had taken a seat on the armrest beside Y/N, leaned down slightly.
"Warming up to lose again?"
Y/N laughed, shaking her head.
"This sounds like exactly what I expected."
---
Dinner Discussions
Eventually, the conversation turned to dinner. BarıŠsuggested ordering pizza, but Duru quickly vetoed it.
"No way," she said. "Weâre not eating pizza again."
"Then what do you want?" Arda asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Something healthier," Y/N chimed in.
Rosé nodded in agreement.
"Sushi?"
"Fine," BarıŠsaid dramatically, throwing his hands up. "But Iâm ordering extra rolls."
Kenan chuckled, leaning closer to Y/N.
"You always keep us in line, donât you?"
Y/N rolled her eyes playfully.
"Someone has to."

A Quiet Moment
After dinner arrived and everyone had eaten their fill, the group settled into a relaxed rhythm. BarıŠand Arda started another game of FIFA, while Duru and Rosé debated what to watch on Netflix.
Kenan took the opportunity to pull Y/N aside, leading her to the small balcony.
"Needed some fresh air?" Y/N asked as they stepped outside.
Kenan leaned against the railing, his gaze steady on her.
"Maybe. Or maybe I just wanted to talk to you."
Y/N raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms.
"About what?"
Kenan shrugged, a small smile tugging at his lips.
"Nothing specific. Just missed you today."
Y/N blinked, caught off guard by his honesty.
"Kenan, we saw each other yesterday."
"Doesnât mean I didnât miss you," he replied, his tone light but sincere.
Y/N felt a blush creeping up her cheeks but quickly masked it with a teasing smile.
"Youâre too much sometimes."
Kenan chuckled, stepping closer.
"And yet, here you are."
Before she could reply, Kenan reached out and gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. The gesture was so simple yet so intimate that it left Y/N momentarily speechless.

Rejoining the Group
When they returned to the living room, BarıŠimmediately started teasing them.
"What were you two whispering about out there?"
"None of your business," Kenan shot back, sitting down beside Y/N.
"Mustâve been something good," Arda added, smirking.
Y/N rolled her eyes, though a small smile tugged at her lips.
"Youâre all impossible."
The group laughed, the warmth and camaraderie filling the room. For Y/N, despite the hectic day, it was moments like these that made everything worth it.
