Chapter 12: Chapter 10

Forbidden Love... Kenan Yıldız & Y/NWords: 4922

Backstage Moments

The final applause still echoed faintly in the air as Y/N, Rosé, Madison, and Lisa stepped off the stage, breathless but composed. The concert had been a success—another flawless performance added to their growing list. Yet, Y/N’s mind raced as she dissected every detail.

Y/N: "That transition in the third song wasn’t sharp enough. And I could’ve held the high note longer."

Rosé: rolling her eyes "Here we go. Y/N, it was perfect. The audience didn’t stop cheering the entire time."

Lisa: "Seriously, Y/N. Relax. Even I nailed my part, and I was one step away from tripping over my own feet."

Madison: laughing "You’re the only one who notices this stuff. The rest of us are just living in the moment."

Y/N: sighing "I just want it to be the best it can be."

Before anyone could respond, the backstage door swung open. Duru, Barış, Kenan, and Arda walked in, their faces lit with excitement.

The Visit

Barış: holding up his glittery sign "Ta-da! The real star of the show has arrived!"

Duru: ignoring Barış "You guys were incredible! That final song? Chills."

Kenan’s gaze immediately found Y/N. She stood to the side, a water bottle in hand, her tired eyes softening as they met his.

Kenan: "You were amazing. All of you."

Rosé: grinning "Thank you, thank you. Feel free to shower us with more compliments."

Arda: laughing "We already lost our voices cheering for you. What more do you want?"

Lisa: gesturing to Barış "How about retiring the glitter sign? It’s leaving a trail everywhere."

Barış: mock-offended "Never. It’s my artistic masterpiece."

Y/N chuckled softly, but her mind was still preoccupied. Kenan noticed her distracted demeanor and stepped closer.

Kenan and Y/N

Kenan: softly "You okay?"

Y/N: startled "Yeah, I’m fine. Just... thinking."

Kenan: "About what?"

Y/N hesitated, unsure how to explain the perfectionism gnawing at her. Finally, she shrugged.

Y/N: "The usual. Things that could’ve been better."

Kenan frowned, his tone firm but gentle.

Kenan: "You’re too hard on yourself. What you did out there—it was more than enough."

Y/N: quietly "Maybe. But I can’t help it. I just want everything to be perfect."

Kenan: "It already was. You just don’t see it."

Her lips twitched into a faint smile, but before she could respond, Rosé called her over.

Rosé: "Y/N, come on! We’re taking a group photo before everyone leaves!"

---

Group Photo and Banter

The group gathered near the dressing room mirror, laughing as Duru tried to line everyone up. Arda held up his phone to take the shot.

Barış: grinning "Make sure you get my good side. Actually, all my sides are good."

Lisa: rolling her eyes "Barış, just stand still."

Duru: "Okay, smile, everyone!"

The photo captured their laughter and camaraderie, the perfect snapshot of the moment.

A Quiet Conversation

After the photo, the group slowly began packing up to leave. Rosé, noticing Y/N’s lingering tension, pulled her aside.

Rosé: "Alright, what’s really going on?"

Y/N: hesitating "It’s nothing. I’m just... overthinking, like always."

Rosé: raising an eyebrow "This is more than just concert jitters. Spill."

Y/N: sighing "I don’t know, Rosé. Sometimes I feel like... I’m carrying so much. And then there’s Kenan..."

Rosé’s eyes lit up, but she quickly masked her excitement.

Rosé: "What about Kenan?"

Y/N: hesitating "I think I have feelings for him. But what if it ruins everything? What if it’s just a distraction?"

Rosé: placing a hand on Y/N’s shoulder "Y/N, Kenan is the least distracting person I’ve ever met. He’s always there for you, isn’t he?"

Y/N nodded reluctantly.

Rosé: "Then trust him. Trust yourself. Maybe it’s worth taking the risk."

Y/N didn’t respond, her thoughts swirling as the group began to leave the dressing room.

Kenan's POV

As they walked out of the backstage area, Kenan trailed slightly behind the group. Barış and Arda flanked him, their teasing smiles in place.

Barış: "So... when are you going to tell her?"

Kenan: feigning ignorance "Tell who what?"

Arda: "Oh, come on, Kenan. You’ve been mooning over Y/N for months. It’s obvious."

Kenan: sighing "She’s got so much going on. I don’t want to make things harder for her."

Barış: "You’re not making things harder. If anything, you’d make things easier."

Kenan: hesitating "What if she doesn’t feel the same way? Or what if it ruins our friendship?"

Arda: "You’ll never know unless you try. And honestly, I think you’d be surprised."

Kenan didn’t respond, but their words stayed with him as the group made their way outside.

Ending Note

As the night came to a close, Y/N found herself surrounded by friends who saw her as more than her perfectionism. For Kenan, the concert marked the moment he realized that some things—like telling Y/N how he felt—couldn’t wait forever.
