Chapter 32: Epilogue

GUN'S POV

I never saw this day coming... I never thought this was still possible. This is real!

I squeeled the moment I opened my eyes. It's the day! I stood up and opened the sliding door for the view of the ocean and the fresh air. Breakfast came in the room and I had it served in the balcony, a few minutes later, Pim came in...

"Congratulations P'Gun" She said and hugged me.

"Thank you Pim" I said and smiled as I hugged her back.

I waited so long for this day... a few more relatives kept walking in and out of my bedroom, a bed room I will no longer own alone starting today. A new chapter of my life begins.

"Gun, it's time" Mom told me.

I stood up and hugged her and Dad trying to stop the tears.

"I'm so proud of you Gun, you fought and made all your dreams come true" He told me.

"Thank you to the both of you for letting me choose what I wanted and be happy." I said laughing the tears away.

We made our way to the beach, it was just the perfect weather... the sun is up but it wasn't that hot anymore, the clouds were perfect as well, they were fluffy today...

We made it to the venue set-up, there were all the flowers, balloons, fairy lights and arrangements that were made... even scattered stones and seashells that were perfectly arranged  to make a path for my whole entourage. The music started playing and I felt like my tears were already about to fall... I waited for my turn until...

I was crying when I walked down the aisle, Off was also crying with the brightest smiles at the end of the aisle...

"Hey there smol bean" He said when I reached the end of the aisle

"You both stop crying, I'm crying too" Tay said as he was beside Off.

"We're all ugly when we cry" New said which made us all laugh.

"Shall we?" Off asked and offered me his hand which I gladly accepted.

Like a flower in the concrete

I looked over to Off.. it all feels so unreal, I felt like I was dreaming...

"Gun the moment I met you I didn't know I'd love this much. I love you because you are flawed, I love you because you make me so happy, I love you because you make the perfect coffee for me, I love you because you because you make me love watching my favorite movies and series, I love you because you are literally the sunshine to every gray cloud I have. I love you for all the reasons I could think of. I love you because you are you. It's funny how a couple of years ago I thought we were another case of right person wrong timing, how we both had so many almost slipped away moments but we made it smol bean... I promise from today, we'll go through all the odds and challenges, we'll walk the beaches together, watch every sunset, listen to every LANY song you love. Smol bean, we might have gone through a lot, but... let me quote our favorite character from one of our favorite shows... I'd choose you. In a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I'd find you and choose you, just like Damon needs Elena in our favorite show, Gun in this reality... I need you in my life Gun and I'm gonna need you for the rest of days that I have. I love you so much smol bean. Always. " He said as he cried happy tears in between.

I squeezed his hand as it was already my turn... I knew we'd be quoting so much from our favorite shows and movies, because without those, we won't be meeting as film students, we won't be partnered up in the first place.

"Off... how do I even begin, you literally saved me. I had the darkest days when you came and you are the reason why I love the moon... you are my moon. I never got to tell you that the reason I wanted to watch my favorite movie The Fault in our Stars with you because Augustus said the perfect words I wanted to tell you... I'm in love with you, and I'm not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I'm in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we're all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I am in love with you. I love every bit of you Off, even your flaws even your fears, all of it. I'll be beside you everyday, I'll be that sunshine whenever the world throws you shade. I will need you beside me forever. I love you so much too Papii, Always" I said as tears were yet again shed.

The ceremony was perfect, we kissed passionately as our friends and family clapped and cheered for us while the sun was perfectly setting in the background painting the skies pink...

***flashback***

I flew to El Nido, Palawan in the Philippines. I settled for a little house at first, it was a big adjustment since it was a small island, literally hours away from the city. I could contact Dad anytime for a service to his private jet but I liked life better like this.

I am currently building my own house here on this island with the help of my family, my parents insisted to shoulder half of the expenses since they said they'd visit often especially Pim.

I walked to the shore barefoot and decided to just keep walking before the tide rise and it gets so dark. The locals are already busy preparing for the night, there were many tourists that are currently here...

I sighed as I stared at the view... it's so peaceful... despite the chaos that has been going on my mind.

I spent a few weeks of crying until I just couldn't cry anymore, I picked myself up and booked me some tours around the islands that were scattered here in El Nido. I went to almost all of it and went back to a few.

After a few months of slowly adjusting and going back and forth to Bangkok and New York to oversee the coffee shops, I managed to move into the new house and Dad even bought me my own speedboat that I could use to go around whenever I feel like it.

After a few months I finally adjusted to the way of living here, it was fun, making friends and all especially the foreigners who also settled here, but despite all of those... I longed for the people I loved the most... I felt lonely.

I was seating on the shore as usual and as the sun was already gone... I walked back to the main road, I wanted to go look around before going home and I also saw the last trip of the service company that brings tourists here all the way from Puerto Princesa City. I walked pass it and smiled at the few tourists who got off the mini bus first.

The next day I decided to go for a swim but then I heard the doorbell rang. I quickly went to the main door to see who it was and to my surprise... it was Off Jumpol... I stood there frozen as he hugged me and tears flowed from his eyes.

"I found you." He said while hugging me.

***end of flashback***

"Nirin, please don't fight with your little brother Win" Papii said when I went out of the room, I smiled as he was holding a tea cup on  the right hand and a lego figure on the left.

Me and Off went to see the world for a year, we went to the places we wanted to go to, he also brought me to almost every LANY concert we could catch. It was a year of adventure and fun and of course we met a few bumps along the way but those only made us stronger.

After a year of going around the world, we decided to settle in Bangkok. We adopted two kids. Nirin and Win.

"Hey, who wants to go swimming?" I asked and the children quickly ran to me.

"Meeeee" Nirin smiled and I carried her and Win to get them changed.

We played in the beach all day until it was almost time for sunset.

"SUNSET TIME" Nirin screamed and pointed to the sunset

"I love you so much smol bean" Off whispered to me.

"I love you so much too Papii" I replied.
