After watching the city lights ,I felt drowsy and went to sleep immediately. I forgot about everything and only Krishna's lotus face came in my mind ,which made me go to sleep instantly.Soon ,dusk became dawn .The pleasant morning sunlight peeped into my room .I didn't even realise a bit that I was in Dwapara yuga ,in Krishna's palace . I still kept imagining that I was in Kaliyuga ,with my parents ,at my home .I felt someone touching my forehead softly . "I'll wake up ma .Just a minute ......" I murmured in my deep slumber . "Wake up ,sleeping beauty . Let's begin our day ...." Krishna cheerfully woke me up .I rubbed my eyes and I saw that it was Krishna who had woken me up ,not my mother .I soon realised that I was in Dwarka ,in Dwapara yuga. "Oh ....It's morning already ?" I got up with a jerk .
"Of course it is .Well ,how was your sleep yesterday ?" He enquired. "Oh yes I slept well" I said while was yawning heavily.
Suddenly ,a guard entered the chamber and addressed the following to Krishna:
"Greetings ,your majesty .There's a message for you from Princess Subhadra .She requests you to meet her at the sea shore this morning."
Saying this ,the guard bowed down and left after Krishna's hand wave .SUBHADRA !Krishna's most beautiful,divine and warrior sister .I love her so much .In Mahabharata,she has a crucial role to play .I became so excited that I got up and clasped Krishna's hands "Oh Krishna ,you said that nobody can see me .But I really want to interact with people of this era .Can't you just give me one opportunity to show myself to these people ?" .Krishna stared at me with his eyebrows raised "Are you sure ? Because if something happens to you ,I shall not be responsible for it .....".
"Oh Krishna,come on .What will happen so worse ?" I said
"Fine then .If they ask your identity and living ,what will you answer ?" Krishna asked .
"I'll tell them that you had brought me here .Then no one will dare to ask ." I answered .
"But still ,elders like my parents and grandparents will surely ask your identity .An unknown woman can't be allowed in the family ,even if I personally know you .Will you tell them that you are from Kaliyuga ? No one will ever accept this excuse Godha ." He told .
"What if I lie ,that I was lost in a forest and you had found me ?"
"And do you think that this lie of yours will hold you for a longer time? What if I myself reveal it one day to everyone that you're neither a lost girl ,nor you belong in this era?" He replied.
"Absolutely you won't do that ,will you ? Krishna ,you yourself have used many tactics and now also you will use in the upcoming events to make the Pandavas win .So why can't we use some tactics now ? You won't fulfil this small desire of mine ?"I was adamant .
" This small desire of yours will bring a big disaster .Godha ,I used or I shall be using tactics now because it is important to restore Dharma back .Whatever I did or whatever I'll do is for everyone's good and welfare ,and for a meaningful reason .But what you're doing is for your own good ,which makes you selfish .And I can't support you for these all tricks ,because if I myself become selfish ,then what's the point in bringing back Dharma ?Only for the reason that everyone should be able to meet and talk to you ,do you want to change the whole the epic which has destined to happen ?" Krishna questioned me ,for which I stared .
"But how can this small trick of mine change the whole epic ?" I was too adamant to know the reason.
"When this trick is executed ,everyone will talk to you and hence things will change .Talking to you might change their opinion and this will cause a change in the storyline. There are heavy chances where you may spill out about the upcoming events ,for you are from the next era and you already know the epic . They will not believe you fully because they don't know your true identity and they'll treat you as an ordinary girl of this era ,but their thoughts ,habits and opinions will start changing even after hearing the few lines from your mouth .This will cause a big turbulence in Mahabharata. Hence the upcoming generations won't be able to acquire the true knowledge of Mahabharata .Hence your desire should not create problem for others .And also ......." Krishna continued "There are many enemies outside Dwarka ,who are watching us like hawks ,trying to find the right opportunity to invade this kingdom .If any of them knows about you and that you are staying under my shelter ,the first thing they'll do is to kidnap you ,for you are new and too much innocent .By this they will threaten me to surrender everything to them .Don't think that you are completely safe .Many spies are roaming in and around the kingdom,so there are high chances of risk .Jarasandha ,Shishupal and Rukmi ,all three of them are eagerly waiting to destroy me and my kingdom. And it is not possible for me as well to look after you all the time ,leaving the main epic .So be wise enough to know why I am doing this .And I forgot one thing ,there are many hungry Rakshasas and Asuras roaming here and there .Because this is Dwapara Yuga ,you can find them easily .By mistake if they notice you ,they'll grab you and gobble you up as a whole ........"
I got frightened .Being invisible sounded so safe and comfortable for me now .Krishna was telling this for my welfare .He cares about me and loves me .His love for me is beyond words.
I finally understood .Whatever I said was completely wrong . "I'm so sorry .I never realised this that a small act of mine could bring huge turbulences .I am such a fool that I argued with you ,justifying my mistake again and again." I became so ashamed as I was arguing with the lord who is everything. Krishna pulled me closer and said "Oh dear ,I just wanted to make you realise the consequences of your action .I want you to be safe ,with me always .Don't feel so sorry .You must know why I am doing this .I am fulfilling your wish ,but for this you should also listen to my instructions.Of course you can see and witness everything.If you want ,I can even leave you independently to see everything.Because in some cases ,I have to go and play my role .I won't be with you throughout the full journey so you can watch everything according to your wish ,wherever you want to ,whoever you want to ......but by staying fully invisible to everyone .Now refresh yourself .I'll be back after sometime." Saying this he left .
I was confused now .Krishna had left to meet his sister. I slowly peeped outside the room ,where the corridor was too much silent. I tiptoed and only my own footsteps could be heard .Suddenly I heard another footsteps coming closer and I instantly became alert .A man was coming before me .But he was not ordinary .He was very tall and had a very well- built body structure. His bodily complexion was like the full moon in the darkest night .He was white in colour .He was wearing a sapphire coloured shawl and dhoti .Heavy necklaces and and a big garland of forest flowers covered his whole body .His eyes were looking stern and sharp .He had a bold attitude in him .A servant bowed down before him .The stranger asked him :
"Where is Krishna? What is he doing ?"
He indeed had a very sharp and commanding voice .He looked familiar to me .The servant answered :
"Greetings my lord .Shri Krishna is there with Princess Subhadra at the sea shore .He told me to inform you that he'll be coming soon for the morning audience."
Saying this ,the servant bowed and left .I soon realised that it was none other than Krishna's elder brother ,BALARAMA !
How strong and terrific he was .I got frightened for a second ,whether Balarama had sensed my presence .But yes ,with Krishna's invisible magic I'm safe .
Then I slowly went to the sea shore where I spotted Krishna accompanied by a woman ,who looked youthful .I saw that he was pacifying her for something .I went closely to see who she was .Her bodily complexion was like melted gold .She was very beautiful and a bit shorter than Krishna. Her long plait was decorated with lotus flowers .Her voice too was commanding as well .She turned her face suddenly ,by which I soon realised that she resembled Balarama. My guess was right .She was Subhadra ,sister of Balarama and half sister of Krishna .Then I noticed that Krishna's both eyeballs were looking towards me .He pretended to look straight towards Subhadra ,but his vision was towards the side ,towards me .I stared at him ,for which he signalled me to remain calm .Then started the conversation of Subhadra and Krishna :
"Subhadra : Oh brother ,do you even know what type of situation I am going through ?Why is everything unfavourable to only me ?
Krishna : Subhadra ,I know how you feel .But soon we'll figure it out a solution,fear not .
Subhadra : Brother Balarama has chosen Duryodhana ,his student as my groom.He never understands my emotions and feelings .He wants me to marry that demon who is trying to kill his own brothers so as to acquire the throne of Hastinapuri .Even after knowing all this ,how can you be so silent ? Has your love for me gone ? (Weeping)
Krishna : Dear sister ,don't misunderstand me .You are the only sister for me . Brother Balaram too loves you a lot .He looks after you as if you're his own daughter .And yes ,this won't happen . Our father (Vasudev) too won't accept this proposal ,as he very well knows about Duryodhana's cruelty towards the Pandavas .Elder brother taught mace fighting to both Duryodhana and Bhima .But somehow ,he likes the former a bit more than the latter .So according to his vision ,he thinks Duryodhana is suitable for you . But I won't let this happen because you are destined to marry someone else .
Subhadra : How is this possible brother ?What do you mean by this ?
Krishna : Dearest Subhadra ,aren't you aware of who truly I am ? I thought you'd know my true identity. And being my innermost energy (yogamaya) ,you are supposed to know me very well ......
Subhadra : Krishna I know you too well ,that's why I am consulting you regarding all these problems .You are my only mentor ,friend ,well wisher and my loving brother .Please save my life .Please protect me from this fear of mine. Only you can make the impossible ,possible.
Krishna : Trust me ,believe in me .When I'm here ,why do you fear ? I myself will talk to brother Balarama and find a solution for this .You are my only sister ,so your life is my main concern .
Saying this ,Krishna hugged Subhadra and at last she had a smile on her face .Krishna was indeed a loving brother .Then he looked at me silently ,giving a mischievous smile on his face .......
