Chapter 94
The Contract Marriage
Chapter 94 Broke Into Her Room In The Middle Of The Nigh Sarah blushed, but she could not avoid this question. She could only nod. âYesâ¦â
âYou are already married?â
Sarah nodded silently again.
Syrus raised his eyebrows, and there was a hint of disappointment in his eyes. There were some things that he knew he shouldnât have asked, but he still couldnât help but open his mouth. âCan I ask what he does?â
âHe is a soldier. He is a very good person!â
Syrus immediately understood and nodded. âHis leg was injured during work?â
Seeing Sarahâs embarrassed expression, Syrus smiled. âI donât have any other intentions. Iâm just a little curious. Alright, now my curiosity is satisfied. Go out and work!â
âYes, CEO!â Sarah nodded and turned around to walk out of Office of President.
Syrus looked at her back and let out a breath. He leaned against the chair. A complicated look flashed in his eyes.
Because Christian had given a half a year off, Sarah was with him almost every day. Even if she went to work, Christian would drop her and pick her up from work. He did not miss any opportunity at all.
During this period of time, as he interacted with Christian more and more, the relationship between the two of them also became more and more relaxed.
Sarah did not even realize that every day when she got off work, once she walked out of the company, she subconsciously looked at the parking lot in front of the company.
There were a few times when Christian did not come in time because of something, she even felt an indescribable sense of loss in her heart.
Three months, in the blink of an eye, was about to end!
The last two weeks of the three month agreements.
Christian received a call from the army asking him to return. Due to the urgency of the matter, Christian left the second day after he received the call.
Once Christian left, Sarah took her bag and prepared to leave. But when she walked out of the villa, she realized that there was no car to send her. Villa was about half an hour away from the city.
Moreover, everyone living nearby had a car. That was why almost no taxi came to this kind of place.
She could have taked Ethanâs car, but he had gone to the company early in the morning. Sarah stood at the door and hesitated for a moment. Then she turned around and walked back to look for Benjamin.
But she had just taken two steps. She saw Julian rushing down the stairs and walking straight to her side.
âLetâs go. Dad told me this morning to send you to work today. Do you need anything else?â Julian asked as he tidied up his shirt.
âI think I should go by myselfâ¦â
Julian could not help laughing when he heard her. âWhat? It has been so long, and you are still so afraid of me? Letâs go, sister-in-law.â
âForget it, you can leave first.â Sarah shook him off and did not want to have too much contact with him.
While the two of them were talking, she saw Daphne walk out of the kitchen. She looked at Sarah and said, âToday Ethan said to let Julian take you there. There are no other cars at home now. In a while, I also want to take Vivian to the hospital for an examination.â
Now Sarah could only nod her head. âYes.â
Julian walked to the side of his car and sat in the car. Sarah walked to the side of the car and thought for a while before sitting in the back seat.
Julian did not say anything along the way. Occasionally, he would look up at Sarah through the rearview mirror and then look at the car in front of him, focusing on driving his car.
Sarah though that he would find trouble with her again. But she did not expect him to be so honest this time. This made the heart that she had been holding on to fall slightly to the ground.
When the car stopped at Wilson Group, Julian turned around and looked at her. âWait here at night when you get off work. I will bring you home at that time.â
âNo need! Iâll just take a taxi back!â
Julian looked at her indifferently. âDo whatever you want.â
Then he started the car and left.
Sarah looked at the back of the car and felt more or less comforted in her heart. As long as he didnât find trouble with her, even if Christian wasnât in Cooper family, she could still hold on for two weeks.
Sarah went back to villa by a taxi at night. During dinner, Ethan said that he would let Sarah take his car and leave tomorrow morning, which made Sarah feel a little better.
After dinner, Sarah returned to her and Christianâs bedroom in a short while. After washing up, she quickly laid down on the bed. But she subconscious looked at place beside her, which was empty right now.
He left for a whole day!
Did he eat or not? How was his health today? How were his legs? He didnât work too hard and tired himself, right? And if he needed something, was there anyone with him right now?
She was lost in Christianâs thoughts and picked up her phone to make him a phone call. But thinking about how she would part away with him two weeks later⦠Was she too concerned about him?
Even though she was thinking about this, she still could not calm her heart down. After hesitating for a while, she put her phone back.
She laid down on the bed and covered herself with a thin blanket. But after lying down for a while, her gaze fell on her phone again.
He had been gone for an entire day, yet he didnât even call her. She was somewhat depressed in her heart.
She laid on the bed for a while more, but couldnât hold any longer. She took her phone and opened the phone book to call Christian. At this time, her phone suddenly rang, giving her a scare.
She took a closer look and found that it was actually Christian. Her face instantly lit up. Without thinking, she pressed the answer button.
âDo you miss me?â Christian asked her with a smile as soon as he opened his mouth.
âWhat do I miss you for? Donât you remember me at all? Donât you know to call me when you arrived at the army?â Sarah asked me without thinking.
âMy phone ran out of the battery on the way here. I was called to work by the leader when I got there. I was busy until now.â
When she heard his say this, her heart instantly softened. She quickly asked him, âThen have you eaten?â
âI just finished my dinner. How about you?â
âWhy donât you look at the time when you say this? I would have finished eating a long ago. If I hadnât waited for your call⦠Maybe I fell asleep right nowâ¦â
âYou have been waiting for my call?â
âYeah! You didnât call me, how would I know if something happened to you on the way? Or did you arrive at the army? Besides, even if your phone ran out of battery, Jayson still has a phone, right? Canât you just call me with his phone?â
Since he left, she could not help but worry. She counted the time and knew he should have arrived a long ago. But he didnât call at all. From the afternoon since now, no matter what she did, she was a little absent-minded. Hearing his voice now, her hanging heart also fell onto the ground.
âSorry. I forgotâ¦â Hearing her complaints, a smile appeared on his lips.
âForget it. Since you are there, Iâm relieved. When are you coming back?â She didnât say the rest of her words. It wasnât long before the day they divorce.
âAre you worried that I wonât go back?â Christian asked with a faint smile. No matter how hard he tried to escape, that they was not something they could escape from.
âThatâs right! When will you come back?â Sarah could not help but smile when she heard him.
âDonât worry. Iâll go back. Itâs Friday after a half a month. Iâll there on Thursday. Iâll not delay the divorce.
Are you afraid that I will not let you go?â Christian asked half-jokingly.
âNo! You are a man, you must keep your word!â
âThere are some times when men donât keep their wordsâ¦â
âDo you?â
âI donât know.â
Sarah heard his words and smiled. She didnât take it to heart. âAlright, itâs getting late. You should rest.
Iâm going to sleep. Good night.â
âGood night.â
Sarah hung up the phone. She thought about what he said and could not help but smiled faintly. She put down the phone and slowly closed her eyes.
Maybe it was because she received a call from Christian, the moment she closed her eyes, she fell asleep. That night, she had a beautiful dream. She dreamt after divorcing Christian, she married to Mr.
David.
Her long wedding dress was ten meter away from the ground. She gently held Mr. Davidâs hand and looked at each other as they walked towards the stage. On the both sides of red carpets family members keep blessing them. Flowers kept falling from the top. At this moment Sarah felt she was extremely happyâ¦
She finally reached on the stage and held onto Davidâs hand as she turned around. However, the moment she turned around she found that the person standing in front of her was not David butâ¦
Christian. And the surprising thing was the man who had been sitting in the wheelchair on the time, had stood up completely.
Christian wore a sliver-gray suit. It perfectly complimented his figure. His hair was neatly cut and he had a white rose on his pocket. He looked so handsome that even the stars on the sky would be shy looking him.
Sarahâs eyes lit up as she looked at him. For the first time she realized that⦠this man was so brilliant!
The emcee began proceed the wedding and they took the wedding vows, after that Christianâs lips fell on her lips.
Finally, when everything was over⦠He directly carried her into their new room. Without waiting to take off her wedding dress, he directly pounced on her and kissed herâ¦
She was being pressed down by him until she was unable to breathe. The feeling of being kissed grew stronger and stronger. Sarah reached out and wanted to push him away, but just as her hand reached out, it was grabbed by someone. The clear touch made Sarah wake up from her sleep.
Something was not right!
There was someone who was pressing down right now!
She tried her best to struggle with all her might. Christian was outside. She didnât need to think who was pressing her right now.
She opened her mouth and bit Julian hard. The smell of blood instantly filled up her mouth. Julian raised his body in pain.
âJulian! You bastard! Get lost!â Sarah used all her strength to flip off his body and pushed him hard.
She then reach out and turned on the bedside lamp.
She saw the man in front of her was indeed the man she liked for nine years!
Her heart immediately fell into the bottom of the valley.
Seeing her panicked look, Julian simply sat up from bed. He looked at her and said frankly, âSarah, I miss you. I miss you every day during this period of time. I canât sleep at night. Sarah, I didnât know about my feelings in past. I thought I didnât like you. But after this period of time, I realized the person I truly liked is you. Sarahâ¦â
