Chapter 18
The Contract Marriage
Chapter 18 I Like Her âWhat did you say?â Ethan was infuriated once again. He looked at his son and roared in anger.
Daphne also looked at her son in disbelief and asked in surprise, âOh my god! You are saying Vivian is carrying your child?â
Julian nodded weakly, âIt has been almost two monthsâ¦â
A little surprise flashed through Daphneâs face, âDoesnât it the grandson of our family?â
She wanted to have a grandson for a long time. Now she suddenly heard this news, she could not help but became a little happy. However, she did not dare to show it at this moment.
Ethan heard his wifeâs words and shouted sternly, âWhat are you saying? Vivian can also give birth to the child of Cooper family!â
When Julian heard his fatherâs words, he immediately knelt down and walked forward. He had a firm expression on his face. âDad, I know I owe Sarah. She has been really good to me all these years. But I only have affection not love for her. I canât marry a woman I donât love. I canât do it. It isnât fair to Sarah either. Vivian is pregnant with my child now. I like her. I love her. No matter how you guys oppose, I must marry her!â
Ethan heard his sonâs words and stood from the sofa. He stared at his unfilial son and wanted to slap him to death.
âJulian! How can I give birth to such a ungrateful son? Nine years ago, when your uncle Wilson gave his cornea to you, what did you promised him? You said you will treat Sarah well for rest of your life.
You promised you would treat Sarahâs mother as your own mother. Nine years passed, What did you do today?â
âDid Sarah not treat you well all these years? She listened to everything you said! She placed all the happiness of her life on you.â
âBut now you are telling me that you love Vivian! You want to repay Uncle Wilson with this kind of result? You beast!â At the end of his sentence he could not help but raise his hand to hit Julian.
Daphne saw her husbandâs actions and immediately blocked in front of her son.
âWhat are you doing? Even if you beat him to death, Sarah would not be able to get together with him!
We did owe the Wilson family and Julian did do the wrong thing but the most important thing is not to blame Julian but think a way to make up for it.â
âMake up for it? How? Give them a sum of money? Fine! Even if Sarahâs family can make up for it, let me ask you, what about Christian? This bastardâs woman is Christianâs fiancée! Can you also give Christian a sum of money to make up for it? In the future, when Christian stays in the family, do you have the face to face him?â Ethan stared at Daphne and shouted excitedly.
Daphne was a little confused by this question and could only look at her silent father-in-law to ask for help. âDadâ¦â
Benjamin looked at his grandson on the ground and sighed, âJulian, even if you donât want to marry Sarah, you should not have touched Christianâs fiancée! Even if you marry Vivian, how will you and she appear in front of Christian in the future? This is a knot that canât be resolved in a lifetime!â
Upon hearing grandpaâs words, Julian lowered his head even more.
âGrandpa, the matter between Vivian and me has already become like this. Sarah and Big Brother also know the truth. I know I have let them down. But all of this could no longer be salvaged. I can only do my best to make up for the two of them!â
Upon hearing his sonâs words, Ethan angrily kicked him again.
âYou disappointing beast! Make up for it? How are you going to make up for it? Because Christian is in a wheelchair, you took advantage of the situation, right?â
Daphne saw her son being kicked to the ground. She was so angry that she reached out to help her son up. She stared at Ethan and shouted hysterically, âEthan Cooper! The son is also mine! If you dare to kick him again, I will divorce you immediately!â
âMomâ¦â Julian immediately looked up at his mother. âMom, just let my dad kick me. This way, I feel better! I donât want things to become like this. I know Big Brother is pitiful but I canât control my feelings.
Vivian is pregnant with my child now, so she canât be provoked. If you have any grievances, just blame it on me. I only hope that you donât blame Vivian!â
