|| hours before the Collapse ||
Fear.
That was what you felt when you stood before the monster. The giant that stared down at you as the other kids present were all either knocked out, injured or dead.
You stood before the beast as its big prying eyes looked at you with nothing but bloodlust.
"Do you really think that they are capable of defeating a Nomu?" One observer spoke as he looked over the window of the much bigger, securer, training room. A place perfect for intense combat training.
There you were, standing along with the other kids as you faced not one, but two giants.
Shigaraki stood in a separate observation room, away from the company of Akane's actual clients. They were all formally suited and observing the action taking place in the training area.
Akane smirked and nodded, she had a lot of confidence with the program her client has ordered for. She was especially proud of your power, the power you constantly suppressed. And she wanted to see exactly what you'll do when you're left with no choice but to use everything you've got.
You cowered in fear as you watched the others kids lose against the Nomus. Either they were harshly pushed to the side or they were crushed. It was a horrifying battlefield and the soldiers were kids.
"The children are losing." One commented in disappointment, seeing as the majority of the children who were stupid enough to charge at the monsters were either knocked out or killed in an instant. "And where did you manage to get Nomus? Were you able to strike up a deal from the LoV?"
Maybe Akane just wanted to shock them; impress them. She rolled her eyes and grabbed the microphone.
"Y.N.14, eliminate the Nomus with full power."
|| 15 Minutes before the collapse ||
"S-sir..." the blue sidekick stuttered, an unusual tone as their office policy was always to be enthusiastic.
This made the pro hero turn to her, only to see a rather terrified look.
"Yes? What is it, Bubble girl?"
"S-Sir... the location we have suspected that the Koshikawa Usagi has been confirmed..." She seemed glad and terrified as well. "There... there were traces of human remains... in- in the nearby dumpster... either dusted, dried or burned... sir."
The pro sighed at the news. This was what he hated about making careful and well-thought plans. They took time. And not everyone had the luxury of time.
"Alright... Call the police and alert the other heroes... we'll go as planned-"
A slight tremor could be felt on the ground. A soft shaking was felt beneath their feet.
An alert sound was heard and the news was quickly turned on.
"This just in, the area of-"
"That's where the base is, sir!" Bubblegirl exclaimed.
"-is currently experiencing an earthquake with a magnitude of 10.5! We are alerting all nearby heroes to head to the area and save as much before any possible collapse of buildings or roads in the area! Volunteers such as hero course students are allowed to participate!" The reporter announced as they flew above where the earthquake was happening.
"We need your help heroes!"
|| Seconds before the collapse ||
The giant stood before you, beady eyes gazing down on you as you trembled in fear.
You didn't know what to do. You couldnt attack physically as they have chained you to the wall. You were basically cornered and chained.
Your heart pumped to quickly that you felt it. You felt it through your chest.
And before you knew it, you had lost control.
||
The area was shaking violently. Everyone was panicking as it seemed like an intense earthquake had just occurred.
People started to seek safe spaces while others tried to foolishly run away from the shaking. Some where smart enough to remember the drills that their school did when they had surprise earthquake drills and other were just panicking.
Heroes tried to calm the people down, telling them to find a safe spot. Some had escorted them to other safer areas while some tried to keep the falling buildings from crushing the civilians.
"Run!"
The ground shook violently and cracks started to appear. The ground was collapsing and people where getting sucked in.
The heroes tried to save as many as they could but nothing could stop the giant hold in the ground from expanding.
It was total chaos
|| 1 hour after the collapse ||
The shaking had stopped and most of the still standing buildings seemed as if they were still safe. There were no more debris falling and majority of the civilians in the area have been brought to an evacuation center where medics would check on them.
The heroes, sidekicks and some hero course students from different schools were there to help out in the rescue of other civilians trapped under the debris or those who had fallen into the giant hold in the ground.
There was no time to wait. Everyone was doing something, either in digging or in the medical tents trying to assists the doctors and nurses.
"Jesus." Pro hero Eraser-Head, Shouta Aizawa, muttered under his breath, looking at the destruction created. He had been there saving people, pulling them out of the way. Now he was watching students of different schools help in the rescue. "What could have caused this?" He questioned himself.
Sir Nighteye, who had heard him, stood beside the scruffy hero.
"I doubt it was a normal earthquake." He stated. "My theory is that it was the Koshikawa Usagi's doing."
The scruffy hero turned to the lanky man beside him with a questioning and shocked look. "What?" He was not informed yet about the fact that they area that they were in was already the entire laboratory of the said yakuza group.
"Bubblegirl and Centipider had just confirmed that that-" Nighteye gestured to the now destroyed abandoned building, "- was the laboratory of the Koshikawa Usagi... and my guess is that its not just that building but also under ground."
"The public street... and underground laboratory?" Aizawa seemed shocked, but somehow he had also expected it. It did make sense, especially with the number of missing people they suspected had been taken by the group.
"This is insane."
||
Days into the rescue and more and more bodies were dug up. Some where lucky souls while other were the unfortunate batch that didn't make it.
"Fuck." Kirishima cursed as they uncovered yet another crushed corpse.
He knew that volunteering in this was going to be gruesome, but it seemed easier to think about than actually doing.
He, along with most of UA's students, were there as they had volunteered to help out.
The heroes who knew of the Yakuza group had confirmed that the entire street that collapsed was indeed their laboratory. They had uncovered not only the bodies of civilians, but also bodies of those who worked for the organization.
What was worse was the uncovering of the bodies of the poor children who were used as lab rats. Not just children but other people as well.
The distinguished it due to the uniform they had on. The dirty white shirt and pants with a unique code printed on the left side of the shirts of those people.
Majority were already dead, either that or they wouldn't make it to the hospital. There were only very few who made it so far.
Bakugou and Kirishima were digging up in one side while Midoriya and his friends were digging on the other area.
"Survivor!" Ochako yelled, an arm raised as to get the attention of the heroes. She made some of the rocks float while the people with her help dug the poor kid out.
It was S.A.25
He was barely awake, barely even breathing.
His eyes fluttered open but shutting as quick when the afternoon sun had blinded him.
"Hey... stay with us, ok?" Ochako tried to pat him to stay awake. "You're gonna be alright."
Aizawa rushed over to assist. He examined the boy and slowly got him to sit up, seeing as he didn't seem to have any broken limbs. "Kid... hey kid." He tried to get S.A25 to respond.
They could see him move his mouth, but no sound came out. They watched as he groggily looked around, trying to look for something- or rather, someone.
"Kid?" Aizawa called him out again. "What's your name?"
He looked up at Aizawa's warm brown eyes. Some sort of warmth he had never seen before. "S.A.25." Was what he replied with.
"What?"
Before Aizawa, or anyone there, could ask anything more from him, the boy leaned onto Aizawa, his body weak and cold.
"P-please... look... f-for.. Y.N.14."
He blacked out and it made the students panic, thinking he might have died, but Aizawa could feel his soft heart beat.
The man turned around and gestured for the medics. They moved quickly and got the boy onto a stretcher and brought him to the medical tent where they waited for the next ambulance that would take him to the nearest hospital.
They found another kid, a teenaged girl with black and white hair. She stayed unconscious, but she was alive as well.
A few more hours and it was almost sunset.
They didn't stop until they knew there was no more.
Aizawa had joined in on the digging as he wanted to at least try to look for the kid the boy called 'Y.N.14'
It was almost hopeless as they had been searching for more survivors for days already. No one could have lived that long underground plus probably being crushed.
"M-mr. A-Aizawa..." Kirishima called him, his voice hushed and almost happy.
The hero turned to him, only to see a sad smile. A smile that help pure happiness that made him look like he was about to cry.
Aizawa looked over to see Bakugou looking at the dug up hole they had made in search for more survivors.
Aizawa could see the tint of relief and happiness in both their eyes. As he looked down the hole, his eyes widened in delight.
There you were.
"Y.N.14" he muttered, seeing your tattered clothing and the now dirty printed code on your shirt.
"S-she's alive." Bakugou's voice was, for once, soft and hushed. A small smile creeping up his face.
Aizawa, after examining you, slowly picked you up, letting you lean on him as you head rested on his shoulder.
You winced softly as the pain of your body, but you stayed unconscious.
Aizawa held you gently, being cautions with you as you had multiple bandaged on your arms and legs. There was also some dried blood coving down your face that was also bandaged, covering once side of your face.
As he stood up to bring you to a nearby medic, Deku called for him, terror in his voice.
He went over to said student only to stop in his tracts when he spotted what the students had found.
"A Nomu."
He stared at it in horror. It was dead, teared to pieces and bleeding out. The head was nowhere to be seen and the limbs were viciously torn apart, but it could still be known as a nomu due to the enlarged limbs and the unnatural color of the skin.
"Wh-why..."
"We'll deal with that." Vlad interrupted, gesturing Aizawa to take you to the medic.
He brought you to the tent and sat there, seeming like he didn't want to let you go.
It was always hard to do so when it came to rescuing people; especially kids.
It was hard as people sometimes get attached and well, Aizawa seemed to be getting attached to you.
