Hands brushing your hair gently, it immediately made you think of Aizawa. His gentle touch, sweet voice, over all fatherly feeling.

Then glimpses of him beating Shohei up and nearly killing you, filled your thoughts.

He tried to kill you.

You didnt want to be anywhere near him because of that.

He caused to much pain and suffering to not only you, but also Shohei. He had the intention to kill, and even when you tried to stop him, make him realize what he was doing to you, he didn't stop.

If you were older, maybe you would have noticed the blank expression he held; the expression of being controlled. Sadly, you were too young to notice that, too young to see that detail whenever Akane had someone under her control.

You failed to see that Aizawa had no choice- no thought into what he was doing.

But still, he had left you there for weeks- almost months at this point. If he hadn't left you, maybe things wouldn't have turned out that way. Maybe nothing would have happened and you'd still be enjoying your time doodling at home with Aizawa by your side as he and Shohei watched a movie or something.

You wouldn't have been haunted by the image of Aizawa trying to kill you.

You eyes fluttered open at the realization and fear of whoever was slightly patting your hair.

Terror filled your body as you met eyes with the man that nearly chocked you to death.

"(Y/n)-"

You moved away, only to fall of the bed with a loud thud. Every inch of your body ached, probably because of the recent events that happened.

"(Y/n)!" Aizawa called out worriedly, runnjng on the other side of the bed to where you fell.

Crying despite the immense strain on your throat, you back away and into the corner.

You were still in the hospital.

The same damned the hospital.

"(Y/n), honey-" he tried to reach out to you, comfort you and apologize to you, but you were just too scared.

His hand stretched out to you, revealing the bandages around his arms from the clawing you did to them.

"N-no!" Hoarsely shrieked as you brought your hands out to push him away with your quirk.

Only to fall into more distress when you see his bright red eyes and floating hair. He had erased your quirk.

As much as you hated using you emitter quirk and always wanted Aizawa to fully erase it, it terrified you to know he was erasing it now, the moment you really didn't want him anywhere near you.

"(Y/n)," His soft and sorrowful voice called to you, but you were in too agitated to care.

You didn't want Aizawa there.

"You're freaking her out." Tora hissed as he, Yamada and Shohei had walked into the scene.

The youngest male glared up at Aizawa in an almost protective manner.

The man- out of sorrow or pain, whichever emotion he was feeling at the moment- deactivated his quirk, only to have Shohei activate his; just in case you decided to try and use your quirk.

"Dad-" the boy turned to him with apologetic eyes, "I think you have to leave."

Aizawa opened his mouth to give a protest, but Yamada placed a hand on his shoulder and agreed with Shohei. He escorted him out of the room, where they sat on a bench and left the two boys to calm you down.

Aizawa heaved a sigh, sinking his face to his palms. He was in deep lamentation; unable to do anything to help you- to calm you down or even just to say sorry to you.

Too frightened to even let him near you- it broke his heart. It broke his heart knowing that he had done this to you.

"What the hell am I suppose to do, Hizashi?" Aizawa chocked up the tears. "She's terrified of me... she couldn't even look me in the eyes... what the hell have I done?"

Yamada patted his back to comfort him. "Its not your fault, you didn't have control-"

"If I wasn't too fucking stupid, maybe I would have noticed something was wrong earlier!" He exclaimed, looking up to meet Yamada's eyes.

"Sho-"

"No, alright? I should have seen it! I should have noticed something!" The man's brows were furrowed as he pointed out his mistakes. "Looking at all of it now, I feel so fucking stupid for not seeing anything! How could I not have even thought- just even a small thought- that they kept cancelling visitation or changing the schedules or all the other suspicious shit? How could I not see it?!"

"You can't beat yourself up for it-"

"Yeah and instead I beat and nearly killed my kids!"

"You were busy, alright? You didn't find anything suspicious because you were sad that she wasn't there, worried that she was obviously different and needed something to make her even a little bit normal and-" at this point, Yamada was also trying not to well up in tears due to him having to hurt his own kid, "-you were busy with exams... you were occupied with the class and you had so much on your plate-"

"Thats exactly my point!" Aizawa couldn't hold the tears. He hated not being able to keep the tears from flowing out. "I was too damn busy- too damn worried about the students grades instead of my own daughter. I was too worried that she was different- or fragile-or...-or that she had the power to fucking destroy shit to god knows what extent!" He hung his head lowly, dark hair falling to his face. "I'm afraid... afraid of what the kid could do... of what sort of chaos she could bring... so I treated her like glass."

The heaviness of Aizawa's chest could be felt by even Yamada. The pain, regret and self-hate he had. It was so strong

"I treated her like glass, too much care... too much caution... yet in the end I still broke her trust... like shattered glass." The brunet gave an audible sigh as his blond friend stared at him in sorrow.

"You broke her trust. You hurt her- heck nearly killed her, yes. She is terrified of you and probably doesn't want you anywhere near her. Its hard, and well, it never really was in the beginning." Yamada was hoping Aizawa would get his point. "But we signed up for this the moment we let them in our homes, the moment we allowed them to get close and even call us their dads. We knew it was going to be extra hard especially with their past and its ok to be stressed. We're officially their parents, we're their guardians and they have our names on paper... maybe not officially adopted, but we are their parents, Sho."

He flashed a smile when Aizawa looked up at him.

"We are parents, and as hard as we try to be the best, do our best and become the best role models to them, we still make mistakes. Some worse than others and its ok." He always tried to be the optimistic and smily friend, because he knew Aizawa was the type to fall into his own pessimistic thoughts. "We were trained to be heroes, but never parents. They've been with us for months and unlike having an actual infant, they already have their personalities, their own thoughts and ways of acting that we are still unfolding. Its only natural that we make mistakes. Its only natural that we don't instantly have the parental senses because we are new and technically, we never even planned for any of this to happen."

Yamada flashed the man an assuring smile.

"It's not your fault that this happened, alright?" He patted Aizwa's back. "Who knew Akane could manipulate someone so well that it almost looked like they were fine? Who knew that she had already gotten to Rosefield from the start? No one saw it coming and its ok."

"Zashi-"

"Yes, you betrayed her trust. Yes, she's like shattered glass, but it doesn't mean its impossible to fix." Aizawa never really appreciated just how good Yamada was at his words. "Its going to be hard and maybe even take a while, but you can still make it right. You may not be able to put everything back piece by piece. You may not be able to perfectly undo the damage, but at least you tried. At least you tried your best to make amends and regain her trust rather than do nothing at all." At this point, he was also saying this to himself, due to the guilt that was eating him up from what he did to Hoshiko. "Your relationship with her may never be the same, but I think she's appreciate your efforts. I think she'd later see that you do care about her deeply, that you truly didn't mean it and that you're trying your best to take care of her. She'd surely appreciate it rather than having you pass her to someone else... someone else she didn't trust or know."

Aizawa gave his blond friend a small smile, agreeing to what he had just said. Better to put effort than not. Better to try than not.

He was going to try and regain your trust, no matter how long. He just had to figure out how.
