"What do you think you can do to help her then, huh?" Aizawa asked the psychiatrist in front of him.

"Erase all her memories of you."

Aizawa stared at her for a moment. He was, no doubt, worried after what she had told him about you and how you only tolerate everything for him.

How you only trust him.

Hearing that makes him think you're a double edged sword.  Not that he wouldn't get hurt for you, but you'd end up hurting yourself and others around too.

But this? Was that the only solution? Removing himself from your memories. Erasing everything. Forgetting all of the moments he cherished with you? Was that the only solution?

"No. That-... that can't be. You-... that's can't be the only solution." Aizawa refused to believe in this. He refused to let this be the only solution to this problem. Your problem. "There must be some other way." He wasn't going to let you forget. No. Never. You've gone so far, only for it to be erased?

"Can't you just erase her memories of her time in the lab?"

"If I do, then that'll break her mind. That's her childhood foundation, Sho." She told him. "You can't erase the childhood foundation, especially the important ones-"

"Her traumatic experience in the lab is important?!" Aizawa couldn't understand. He couldn't stay rational. Not when its about you.

"Her traumatic experience is what makes her, her. If we remove that, its like removing all of whats makes (Y/n)... (Y/n). The foundation, the basic knowledge she got from there will be erased. She won't be the (Y/n) you know, if we try and remove those memories."

"Then do you have another solution?! I do not want her to forget the moments we had, even if she just tolerated everything and not enjoy..." Aizawa looked at his bandaged arms sadly. "I don't want... I don't want anything on her mind tampered with... especially not our moments."

That's when Rosefield realized it wasn't just the girl, but Aizawa himself. He wasn't just drawn to you because of you... but also because you reminded him of someone they were both close friends to.

"Shouta... I might just have another way." He sprung up, looking at her in total desperation.

"What is it?" His voice was desperate something you wouldn't see ever in Aizawa Shouta.

"It might take weeks, or months even."

"What?" The demand and desperation was something she doubted anyone had ever heard.

"Distance." She told him softly. "You two need distance from each other, as well as therapy." She looked in his eyes as he was thinking, an unreadable expression on his face. "Its a longer process but that means no tampering with her memories... she won't forget, but she'll have to endure days without you."

"Distance." Was all Aizawa said.

"It won't be easy... especially with her attachment to you."

Aizawa looked at her, a new feeling coming off of him. "That... that'll work... how long?"

"It depends. Depends on how she'll take it. How she'll manage."

He hated this. If he erased your memory, there's a possibility that would backfire on them. You'll start from square one, and you might as well end up causing destruction once you wake up from the erasure.

But distance. Distance for an unknown amount of time sounded unbearable. It sounded painful, in a mental way. It sounded like torture. Was he really going for this? Going for this mental torture as a treatment for you?

"I promise to take good care of her." Rosefield said sadly, seeing the internal conflict within Aizawa.

You meant the world to Aizawa. You were his little princess, and the thought of leaving you under the care of doctors didn't sound right. It just didn't.

"Total... distance... or can I visit?"

"We'll have to see, Sho." Rosefield didn't like it either. She thought this was going to be easy, but now that she knew the magnitude of it... it might as well be the most difficult task ever. "But... if it takes too long, yes... occasional visits will be worked out."

Aizawa sighed. This was a very tough call. He'd consult you for your opinion, but he knew your answer would be no to both. God his head hurt, and here he thought nothing could get any harder than what he had faced three days ago.

"What will it be, Sho?" Rosefield frowned, she too didn't like any of it. She didn't like how this was going, but she couldn't just turn a blind eye and forget about your traumatic past and how your attachment could work out.

Not that she didn't trust Aizawa to keep you safe, but there will always be a time when a parent betrays their kids, it doesn't have to be intentionally, it could be by accident, only the littlest things.

She didn't want to risk that.

Aizawa's mouth moved, but no sounds. He hung his head lowly, hair falling to his face as his lips quivered.

"Distance."

After the talk, Rosefield told him to rest and get ready to say his goodbyes to you, for now.

He had to be the one to tell you, so you'd stay calm and somewhat understand the situation. If it were anyone else, you might as well think they were lying.

And when the day came, he was brought to your room, in where you've been staring blankly at the white walls for hours.

You've stayed quiet, and stopped talking to Rosefield after a while. The last thing you said was you'd wait for Aizawa. And that was three days ago. You stopped talking. Fortunately, you still ate, went to potties and acted jumpy towards everyone but Rosefield. You were still you, but you went silent and blank.

"See what I mean." She showed Aizawa through the door's small window.

He frowned, this was just how you were the first few days he got you. And now he's just about to tell you that you'll be staying with them while he heads back home.

He had Rosefield explained to Shohei, Hoshiko, Yamada and Kayama about what had happened and he got an opinion from all of them before seriously choosing distance.

At least now they understand as well, they all agreed to distance rather that erasure.

Aizawa was by the door with Rosefield and Yamada. Shohei, Hoshiko and Kayama were in an observation room where they could see you and the entire scene. Shohei was there if there were anything that were to happen and your quirk needed to be erased.

"(Y/n)." Rosefield went in first, giving you a smile as you turned to her blankly. "I have a visitor for you." You tilted your head, waiting for the person to come in.

Your entire world stopped when you saw Aizawa walking in on crutches. His hair tied in a messy bun as he gave you a sad smile.

Just when he thought he could just say it to you, he couldn't because he could see the biggest and brightest smile you've ever had.

Mouth agape and cheeks rosy in happiness. Your eyes twinkled and you were just so bright.

"Daddy!"

The happiest, sweetest tone you ever had. You were so happy, like the world just wanted to crush Aizawa.

You hopped off the bed and ran to him, past Rosefield and to him. He fell to his knees and hugged you tightly. You were alright. You weren't badly hurt. You were safe and sound in his big arms.

Aizawa felt the tears running. God why was he always tasked for such hard things? Couldn't he just have a happy life with you?

Yamada was outside, rubbing his eyes. "Shit." His lips quivered as he could feel himself tearing up.

The three in the observation room were equally shocked. Shohei standing there speechless as Hoshiko already started crying on his shoulder while Kayama had her hand on her mouth.

You where just to happy to see him. So happy to see Aizawa that you were tearing up as a thin shaky grin stayed on your face as you started at him, eyes slightly glowing out of excitement.

For the first time since they've met you, you were happy.

Happy on the worst day.

"(Y/n)..." He his face in your shoulder and you two stood there for a while. He breathed in your familiar scent. Remembering the feeling of your little body being hugged by him as you two slept. How you two watched TV together, graded papers together, played with the cats and doodled together. But he loved it the most when you two napped together, anywhere, anytime, any day.

He didn't know what to say. He didn't want this moment to end. So you two stayed there. Stayed there in silence. In happy comfortable silence.

"Daddy." You kept muttering like a chant as you snuggled into his embrace. You were too happy. Too happy to notice how sad everyone else in the world was. "Daddy... is here."

Fuck. Aizawa hugged you tighter as more tears dared to spill from his eyes.

"Yes I am, aren't I." He managed to saw without sounding too sad. He couldn't let go of you. He couldn't stop hugging you, but you didn't complain or move around. No you just hugged him happily. Your little heartbeat so fast and loud, he could feel you excitement. He could feel how happy you were. You just had to make it harder for him, didn't you.

"Daddy's here."
