Aizawa groaned, he shifted from the bed and patted around to feel you. It was a habit he had taken up to be sure you were safe in his arms.

Looking for your little figure, he panicked when he couldn't feel it. His eyes fluttered open only to see that he wasn't at home and you were nowhere to be seen.

Memories of what happened  flooded back to him and he shot up from the hospital bed.

He winced in pain, majority of his body wrapped in bandages or were in a cast, but he didn't care. All he cared about was you.

Where were you?

"Whoa, take it easy, Sho." His head flicked to were the voice was, and there was Yamada on the other vacant bed with Hoshiko sleeping on his lap. "Don't force yourself... you were badly hurt."

Aizawa rolled his eyes, he's been through this before, just like the USJ and he's walked it off after two days. This time, he hadn't sustained too much damage as before so he could-

"Don't try it... please... we were all worried for you. You've been out for two days now" Yamada frowned at the look on Aizawa's face. "Some of your students even came by cause they saw you on TV."

"TV?"

"Last night's event was briefly shown on TV, explaining that nomus attacked Hosu, not to mention Hero Killer: Stain saved Midoriya... and you were given a cameo as you were all brought to the hospital." Yamada explained softly, gently fixing Hoshiko's position so that he could get off of the bed. "Some came by and some where actually at the hospital... I think Midoriya, Iida and Todoroki are here for recovery too."

Aizawa sighed, why is it that whenever there's events like this, Midoriya's always in it?

"He was saved by the Hero Killer? Somehow, it wasn't a surprise" He stated and Yamada nodded. He grunted and moved, so that his feet were on the cold tiled floor, but still seated.

"Sho-"

"Where are the kids? (Y/n)? Shohei?" Aizawa asked, all seriousness in his tone as looking around the white hospital room. He already missed you.

"They're both recovering... Shohei hasn't woken up yet... he's over used his quirk and he might be out for a few more days." Yamada sounded soft and something in his eyes told Aizawa there was more to it. "We aren't sure how his eyes will recover... too much force and heat from the energy he placed on them..."

Aizawa looked down. That was his fault. His fault for not being strong enough, nor quick enough to bring any of you out of the chaos.

"Shinsou?"

"He had the least amount of wounds and none were fatal or too serious." Yamada answered again. "We escorted him back home to your cousins." Aizawa nodded, at least one wasn't too badly hurt.

He then looked up at the blonde, silence filling the room when he noticed his friend avoiding eye contact.

"And (Y/n)?"

Yamada looked away from a moment, staying quiet. Aizawa looked at him intensely. Why wasn't he answering? Did something happen to you? Where you hurt? Did you die?

"Where's my kid, Hizashi?" Aizawa sounded threatening, glaring at the unusually quiet man.

Yamada sighed and looked up at him. "I-I haven't seen her."

"She's missing?!"

"What? No no not that." He eased up Aizawa a bit. He scratched his head and sighed, "She's in quarantine." Aizawa's eyes widened and he opened his mouth to say something, but Yamada beat him to it. He said: "The doctors said it would be best to keep her under observation for now... her quirk is powerful and currently unknown... they dont know if there are any side effects to the over use of her quirk... and it could be fatal." He sighed, pausing for a moment before adding: "they also sedated her, to keep her asleep, since she accidentally woke one time and almost went haywire."

Aizawa rubbed his temples. "Jesus christ, Hizashi she isn't a drug addict."

You were in quarantine, meaning you'd be distanced from everyone until the hospital sees fit. "Where are the fucking sons of bitches who told you that? I want to talk to them."

Yamada stopped him from getting up, giving him a pleading look. "Sho, please... they just want to help with her quirk and maybe improve her mental state-"

"She is not mental!" Aizawa growled.

He was getting stressed by the moment. He was so use to you being with him every day, that he couldn't seem to function without you. "I've been with her for weeks now and she's far from mental! She's just scared, Hizashi. She's just scared." Aizawa's voice softened. The thought of his little girl alone and scared inside a completely different place.

Yamada raised his arms up like a surrender, trying to calm his friend down. He could understand him. You were so sweet and listening to the doctors about what they planned, he wanted to yell at them at maximum level.

What did they mean you were unstable? Yes you were a bit jumpy. Maybe a bit anti social. Afraid of anything unfamiliar... You haven't hurt anyone... intentionally.

"What do they plan on doing with her? Can I even see her?" Aizawa groaned, he couldn't believe he was slightly allowing this. He hated himself. He hated for feeling it, but he couldn't... he couldn't help you... not alone, at least.

Yamada ran a hand through his long blonde hair that was let down. "She'll go under therapy..."

"Can I see her?"

"Aizawa."

"Can I see her?" Aizawa said in gritted teeth, looking into Yamada's green eyes.

The blond shook his head sadly. "The doctors said it'd be best to keep her at a distance from people for now... according to them, she needs to go through therapy, be observed then-"

"I want to see my daughter." Aizawa tried to get up but failed, stumbling down due to his semi healed foot. Yamada was quick to catch him and sit him down.

"Sho, listen, its just a few days-"

"No! I-I need to see her... I want to see if she's ok." Tears welled up in his face. Last he saw you was when you were crying, blood spalltered on your face. There was so much blood he couldn't tell what your injuries were. If they were serious or what. If you were awake or not. He just wanted to see you.

"I just... I just want to see her."

"Dr. Ro-"

"Shit!" The doctor in the room jumped as she looked up at the ipad she held.

"For god's sake! Knock!" She rolled her eyes as the other doctor looked over to her. "What is it?"

"We've already told the child's guardian about the plan, but it seems he's not too happy." The man sighed, placing down the papers he hand on the desk. "He's really attached."

The lady rolled her eyes, "It would have been better to let him know after he recovers, and after he sees his daughter." She shook her head and looked back at her ipad, there she read the article about you.

How you were found under the pile of rubble, barely breathing. How you were an experiment of a yakuza drug gang and how you came under the care of a hero.

She looked at the other article. It was about how you were attacked by Nomus but miraculously weren't hurt too badly.

"Have you gotten anything else on the girl? Other articles? More information?" She asked her fellow doctor.

"Heard her name was (Y/n)."

The lady's brows raised as she continued to go through more articles about you. She did find your name familiar.

Dr. Mary Rosefield, a graduate of UA, general studies, and now a medical hero focusing on the mental state of others.

Usually, she would be in the field, checking on heroes and if they were even suited to go under high pressure missions or she'd be looking at trauma patients recently rescued from disasters, but that was all usually in farther places like really up north of Japan.

So it was quite peculiar that she was there and taking on a case like you as she usually only visited hospitals to take quick checks, much like Recovery Girl.

At the moment, she typed away on her ipad, writing down what she knew about you so far. She stretched a bit, and nearly losing balance and falling.

Dr. Rosefield, a former transfer student from America, knew who you were. She volunteered to handle your case by the moment you and Aizawa were rushed into the hospital she was in. What a coincidence, right?

After learning about what had happened, she wanted to know more. She needed to know more. What the media explained about what you could have possibly gone through was just the surface of it. You could have gone through far worse than just 'locked up and isolated from the world'.

When you were dropped off at the hospital that night, she was the one who got to see you kids. Brought you to the waiting room and even offered to treat your wounds, but when you flinched and looked like crying by her closing in on you, she knew she just had to help you.

Rosefield had helped a lot of people. From children to married couples and even to criminals. Even with that, she liked helping kids more. There was just something else when seeing a kid smile.

"Yo, Rosemary."

"For the love of God-"

"The girl's up." The other doctor said. She stood by the door, waiting for Rosefield to get up, in which she did in a hurry.

Rosefield walked out of the office and jogged over to where you were. You were hiding in the corner, crying your eyes out. The doctors were all standing there, practically surrounding you as you were wired to a lot of things.

"Hey! What did I tell you guys about going in here?" She hissed at them. She wanted to limit the people meeting you, in order to not stress you out. "You said you weren't interested, now why are you here?"

You peaked through your arms to see her, unsure if she was good or bad. But you could see the white lab-coat. For you, people in white lab coats and nurse' uniforms are bad to you. They were the ones who tortured you.

"We just-"

"Shut it!" You flinched at her sudden outburst, silently crying and tucking yourself further into the bed as she talked. "You'll stress the girl out! Want what happened in the street of Hosu to happen here?"

They stared at her in horror as they could already feel and see the slight shaking of the objects around them. They shook their heads and left quickly, without another word.

"Thought so." She sighed and turned to you. Her eyes softened as she walked over to you slowly. "Hey there." She cooed, hoping it'll easy you.

"A-away." You told her between soft sobs. You woke up in a white room that reminded you of the horrible laboratory you used to live in. Wires attached to you as well as a few needles. You had gotten up despite that fact and had been cornered against the wall, far away from the exit. You didn't want to use your quirk in fear of destruction because you didn't know if Aizawa was there. You thought that maybe he was and if you did activate your quirk, you might get out of control and hurt him again. You didn't want that.

"I won't hurt you." She took a few more steps closer and it was setting you off the edge.

"A-away... pl-ease." She didn't hear you and stepped closer and closer and you couldn't take it. Your eyes that now stayed crimson stared at her in fear, you brought a hand out and she was pushed away.

She got into a rather hero like stance that stopped her from being pushed to the wall. She looked at you with surprise. "Whoa." She giggled a bit, staying there squatted as she slowly raised her hands as a sigh of surrender. "Easy, Sweetcheeks, I won't hurt you, I promise." She told you softly.

Her minty eyes were warm, and friendly looking, like Aizawa's. But that didn't mean you could trust her. She had the white lab coat and you didn't know her.

"S-stranger.... str-stranger ba-ad." You pointed at her in fear.

She shook her head. "No no, I'm not bad. I won't hurt you... I want to help you." She stayed there, letting you calm down and gain a bit of trust.

"Lab... coat..." You looked at her cautiously. "Wh-white coat... ba-ad... people." You told her.

She kind of got you there. When you were rushed into the hospital a day ago, she got to examine you and even get a flash of memories from you.

That was her quirk. She could see into people's memories, but she has to have physical contact for it to happen. She only got a glance of memory from you since she was only able to touch your forehead, then was pushed away by other doctors who really did the work to take care of your wounds.

"White lab coat." She muttered, looked at her coat and remembering the flash of memory. It was a bunch of people in similar coats, observing you while you were being injected painfully. Oh Rosefield felt the pain of it. She shuddered at it then looked back at you. You had the right not to trust her.

She moved to removed her coat, but you flinched. "I'll just remove the coat, ok? I won't do anything uncalled for." She told you as she slowly removed the coat then thew it away from both of you. "See? Not the bad guy... just a hero... who wants to help."

"Where's... daddy?" She didn't actually see your father, but she heard he was seriously injured.

"Sleeping... he's still sleeping."

"G-go... to... to daddy." You pouted.

She shook her head, giving you a sympathetic look. "He's still hurt and needs to rest... you can't go to him yet, ok? But once he's ok... then I'll bring the toy to him. Promise." She gave you a small smile, just slowly taking a step towards you. "Are you hungry? What do you want to eat?"

You shook you head despite you being hungry. There was no chance you were going to eat anything they'd give you. You didn't trust them.

"No? Not hungry?" She said softly, still giving you a warm smile. "How about you sit back down on the bed? It's better than the floor." She slowly got up and just got one of the foldable chairs. She sat at a distance of the bed so you'd sit there too. "Go on... I won't move from here."

You just complied, she was right about the bed being better.

There was a bit of awkward silence as she just smiled at you. "Do you want anything, sweet cheeks?" You shook your head again. All you wanted was Aizawa, but she said he was still healing. You didn't want to disturb him while he was healing from the injuries you caused.

"Daddy... healing?"

"Yes." She smiled at you sadly. "I heard he was badly hurt."

You pouted at her words. If only you had just walked faster and went to Akane, no one would have been badly hurt. Now, you didn't even know if they were alive, for all you know they could just be saying this to make you comply.

"And bro-ther?"

"Also healing."

They were both badly hurt. You felt horrible. If you had only listened... If you had been faster... if you had just hit Akane the moment you saw her instead of hesitate and cower in fear, maybe no one would have been hurt.

"M-my fault... m-my... my fault..." You felt the tears come in and your face heat up. "They... hurt... becoos... me." You tried to wipe the tears away, but they kept coming. "Becoos me... they... the-ey... hurt." You cried without much noise but sniffling. You were always quiet, even when you cried.

Why? Cause every unwanted noise was punished. Everything they found annoying... punishment was given.

Memories of the lab flooded back as the white walls reminded you of it. You didn't like it there. You didn't like being away from Aizawa.

"Hey hey, sweet cheeks." You were too busy remembering all the horrible things from the lab to the recent event, you didn't notice her get up and get close to you.

You jumped when she patted you. She retracted her hand and gave a small apology. She did remain closer, however.

"You didn't do anything wrong." That sounded like one of Aizawa's words. He always said that to you every time you accidentally broke something or used your quirk. "You did nothing wrong, sweetheart." You teared up even more, the heaviness in your chest and longingness to be with Aizawa.

You missed Aizawa so much, but you were afraid of looking at how injured he was. You were afraid he'd be mad at you for what you had done.

"Just let it all out, honey." Rosefield tried to sound normal, when in reality, she was already patting you and seeing your memories. Everything your felt and dealt with. And even what you were thinking now.

Rosefield could see and feel it all. All the tests. All the experiments. The things they made you do. The animals and the people they made you kill. It was horrible and she couldn't hold the tears. Anyone would have been severely traumatized by that. They would have gone insane. It was a miracle you were still this sweet little girl.

It reminded her of a colleague.

"Just let it all out."

||

After your crying, Rosefield told you about her quirk. She apologized for using it on you, but explained that she understood now what you were going through. She assured you that you weren't going to get hurt. No tests, no examination, no experiments, she just wanted to talk and help you.

She got you food, despite you shaking you head. It was pancakes shaped as cats and dogs.

"Just don't tell anyone, ok?" She giggled, signaling you with a finger as you nodded, eating the pancakes, remembering Aizawa.

The rest of the day, she'd go in and out, getting some things like paper and crayons for you to draw on, a few more snacks, and even her ipad where you two watched cat videos. Rosefield wanted to gain you trust before starting, it was the best and safest way.

She talked to you and you just answered back in a few words, but she was fine with it, as long as you weren't under any stress.

"Its nighttime now." She smiled at you gesturing to the window. "Time to sleep ok? I'll go now."

"N-no." You grabbed onto her hand, pouting. Even if you weren't close to her, better to have her there rather than no one. Being alone in an unfamiliar and rather dark room freaked you out. "S-stay... please."

Rosefield could see the thoughts you had at the moment, seeing as you recalled Aizawa and the way he hugged and patted you to sleep at night.

She gave a small smile and nodded. She hopped back in bed beside you and watched as you settled in. She respected your personal bubble and just accompanied you.

"Goodnight... (Y/n)."
