15: School Life
"Alright! That's the end of today's lesson! Enjoy your lunch!" Yamada gave 1-A a big toothy smile before packing up the books he had with him.
The students sighed in relief, some getting up to stretch and others already leaving to go to the cafeteria.
"Uncl- Mr. Yamada." Shohei walked over to his blonde teacher. "Will you or dad be available for lunch or is your lunch schedule different?"
Yamada patted his shoulder, "Sorry, Hei, but I've got another class after this, and I think Sho's got to substitute for the third year homeroom class, but you can go and fetch (Y/n) in the faculty if you want." He explained before waving good bye and leaving to go to his next class.
Shohei sighed and got the eraser and started to remove the contents of the black board. He wanted to be the nice responsible student despite being quiet and distant.
He covered one side of his face when the golden glow of sunlight hit him.
Hoshiko sat there watching him finish up as they'd go to the cafeteria together.
"Are you going to get have lunch in the cafeteria or are you gonna stay here again and eat your lunch like a loner?" Hoshiko joked when she too usually stuck with him.
Shohei shrugged, not really up to the thought of going into the cafeteria where is was a constant chaos of students. He also didnt want to bother you into joining him there.
"N-not really... I don't like it there."
"Me neither... but I've got no lunch today." Hoshiko sighed. "Dad woke up late and forgot to pack me lunch so I have to buy... but then I'd have to stay and eat there."
Shohei looked over to her and sighed. He hated to go there, but he didn't want to let his only friend in class to eat alone in the cafeteria, where the other students could end up harrassing her, especially the "Bakusquad" as Hoshiko had termed the people with Bakugou.
"Fine... lets go and eat then." He finished off erasing and then got his lunch. They walked into the chaos called the cafeteria.

You've been staying in the faculty since Shohei and Hoshiko had joined 1-A.
Tutoring sessions weren't as bad, although you had quite a hard time grasping certain concepts.
You were somewhat a quick learner, just a bit timid and quiet, but Aizawa understood that seeing as you had a lot to learn.
Speaking of Aizawa, you barely got to see him because he was busy teaching. You'd see him only when you two had lunch or when it was time for him to teach you.
You leaned onto Aizawa's desk, arms around your stuffed cat as you drifted off to sleep.

Class 1-A, after meeting their new classmates, had wanted to learn more about Aizawa's private life. Not really everything, but they wanted to learn more about Shohei and his relationship to Aizawa, since Shohei didn't really answer their question.
"Are you Mr. Aizawa's son?!" Ashido asked, her eyes sparking. The others seemed to have the same question as well.
Shohei gave them a look, "That's for me to know and for you to find out." He settled on the seat beside Midoriya and got his stuff ready for the day.
They were having their lunch when Ochako gasped, startling Deku, Iida and Todoroki.
"Oh look! Is Yamda and Aizawa!" Ochako pointed out, seeing the duo sit at the corner, where there were fewer people.
Mudoriya looked over to look at Shohei. The way his eyes were the same droppy and slightly tired like Aizawa's as well as the way he moved or spoke.
"Aizawa really looks like Mr. Aizawa"
"Father and son." Todoroki said as he ate. "Its pretty obvious, especially with the wait they act.. not to mention their last name"
Midoriya looked over to his friends, "I'm just wondering why they suddenly became a part of our class." He turned to the two again. "I dont understand... were they aldo recommended students that just... got to class late? No... that would make no sense since UA only accepts 4 recco-"
"They're so cute!" Ochako giggled, watching as Aizawa passed by, giving both the newbies a pat on the head, saying something before leaving. The two waved bye then resumed eating.
"Is it even allowed in school to have your father as your homeroom teacher? Or teacher at all? Wouldn't that create some favoritism?" Iida inquired.
"I can feel it." Shohei sighed.
"What?"
"Their stares."
Hoshiko chuckled. "I know right. Talk about nosy." She shook her head and slurped on her ramen.
"No wonder dad is tired... imagine how tiring it must be having students like these... much more since they seem interested in his personal life." Shohei could see Midoriya's group and how they stared at them.
He understood that it was a sudden change that he and Hoshiko had gotten into the hero course without much question or explanation, and he also knew that Aizawa was a preserved person and maybe they were interested in knowing more about their teacher, but couldn't they keep it to themselves and not stare at them like weirdos?
He closed his lunch box and sighed. All he wanted to do was go home and sleep. Maybe read a few books and enjoy the silence of their home.
"Wanna join us?" Shohei turned to see Mina and the "Bakusquad" as Hoshiko called them.
"Are you talking to me?" He pointed to himself, unsure why the group would come over to talk to him.
He would understand if they wanted to talk to Hoshiko, since she was a social butterfly, but Shohei saw himself as that caterpillar saying in a cocoon.
"Both of you." Mina smiled at them and Shohei felt uncomfortable.
"Join where?"
"After class training in the gym."

You sat in Aizawa's desk, unsure of what to do now. You didn't want to touch anything because you didn't want Aizawa to get mad at you for messing up his desk, and the fact that most of the stuff there were either papers, a cup of pens and some other office materials that you didn't know what it was made you anxious to even touch it.
"How's life going, kid?" Speaking of the devil, You turned to Aizawa as he gave you a tired smile. "Bored?"
"B-bored?"
He chuckled and shook his head, "never mind." He leaned over to get some of his graded papers as he was going back to his main class, to distribute the math quizzes he graded, the ones he accidentally gave you as scratch paper and you scribbled on the backsides.
"Can-can I..." He looked down on you. You kind of missed him, he was always busy in school and at home, all he did was cook, grade papers and then nap. Saturdays and Sundays he mostly napped or played with the cats, you kind of missed it when he had his attention on you. "Can I come... w-with... you?"
You didn't really know he had to handle a lot of people. You didn't know what he did, all you knew was that he was constantly tired and had to write stuff down on papers.
So it was a surprise to Aizawa that you wanted to come with him. He smiled at you warmly, understanding that you missed him, but he hadn't introduced you to his class yet and he hadn't told them anything about you. So bringing you to class was a little hard, seeing as you're still the same person you were when he met you, just having a little more trust in him and on the people he introduced to you before, which was Yamada and Kayama.
You were still jumpy when teachers would come and greet you. So his class might overwhelm you.
"Maybe next time, alright?" You gave a nod and went back to staring at his desk. He became guilty, seeing you do nothing but stare. "Here... practice your writing on this." He smiled, giving you a few scratch papers. He patted your head and headed off to his class, who instantly started to question him about the scribbles on the back of their quizzes.
It was either drawings or you writing yours, Shohei's and Aizawa's names.
"I apologize for the writings on the back, I accidentally gave the kid your papers instead of scratch papers." He sighed, already seeing Iida get ready for his demanding questions.
"Sir, when you mean by 'kid' do you mean... (Y/n) Aizawa?" Tsuyu points to the name that was scribbled on her paper repeatedly. The girl held a small smile on her face as he asked, "Is she... your daughter."
Aizawa, thanks to his scarf, his his reddening face. "You can say that." He turned around and waved off other questions and started class.
||
"Midoriya, could you get something from my desk?" Aizawa asked as they were all jotting down the notes on their notebook. "Just get the stack of checked seat works on my desk."
"Y-yes sir!" Midoriya, or Deku, got up and left the class to head to the faculty.
He walked in after knocking and asking for Aizawa's desk. He headed there and was surprised to see a little girl sitting there, drawing on some bond papers.
No one was with you. Yamada, Aizawa and Kayama were in class and the other teachers were instructed to not make contact with you. They would one day, just one by one. You'd probably start crying by having so much people wanting to know you and having them tell their names to you would hurt your head.
Midoriya, who knew nothing about your case besides that fact that you were saved, grinned widely. He saw you the day Bakugou had pulled you out and brought you to the medical tent.
He was worried and wanted to know but the hospital said you were quarantined, and then Aizawa never really returned any of his email, so seeing you sit on his teacher's desk felt like an opportunity to meet you.
He walked over to you slowly. "Hey there." He said, making you jump and turn to him with a scared face. "Whoa! Easy there, Muffin! I'm just here to-"
You moved back, falling off the chair and backing up under Aizawa's desk. You didn't know who he was or why he was here. He was just suddenly there and talking to you.
No one was with you and you were with a stranger. You remembered Aizawa telling you to not use your quirk as much as possible, because you were in a safe place, but that didn't mean you could trust everyone. You had extreme trust issues and anyone who wasn't Aizawa, Yamada, Kayama or the two teens scared you.
"Woah woah woah!" Midoriya dropped to look at you already crying under the desk. He didn't know what to do, you just suddenly fell and started crying. He really liked kids and seeing them cry was something for him. "Please don't cry. What's wrong?"
He went to reach a hand out for you, but someone grabbed him.
"Don't touch her." Aizawa's gruff voice could be heard. You were still crying, rocking yourself back and forth as you waited for the stranger to disappear. "Don't touch the kid."
Midoriya quickly got up, seeing the small glare in Aizawa's eyes. "S-sir!I-I didn't-"
"It's my fault... completely slipped my mind." Aizawa sighed as he looked at Midoriya. "She's gone through somethings... doesn't like it when people get too close... just-just keep a distance." He told him as he got down to meet your crimson eyes.
He kind of got it that when your eyes went crimson, it was when you were getting ready to activate your quirk or when you felt uneasy. So he felt bad remembering the days when your wyes were constantly red.
"Hey, kid." His voice was soft. It was a kind of soft that only worked with you and sometimes Shohei. "Come on out." He reached for you, but you backed up even more, shaking you head and crying.
"S-stranger.. s-stra-anger... b-ba-ad." You hugged your knees, hearing as Aizawa audibly sighed. "H-hurt..."
Aizawa knew Midoriya didn't hurt you. You usually said that when you see someone or something new, immediately expecting it to hurt you.
"No he won't sweetheart." Aizawa shook his head, his warm eyes on you as he gave an assuring smile.
Midoriya was feeling guilty for making you like this and having his teacher take up time trying to comfort you. However, he was a little surprised to see how Aizawa was with you. So soft, so sweet, he wanted to scribble down everything he was seeing now in his notebook. He found it so cute that he called you sweetheart.
"Come on out... he won't hurt you." Aizawa assured, reaching for you again. "He's my student... remember what I said about student?" He told you what a student was when Shohei and Hoshiko got into their uniform and started class.
"Stu-dent."
"Yes, Sweet, Student... he's my student... he won't hurt you..." He let his hand there, waiting for you. "Calm down... come on... you shouldn't stay under there." His assuring smile somewhat helped you.
You wiped your tears, slowly grabbing his big hand, only able to hold onto two fingers. His smile slightly grew as you got out slowly, getting back a bit at the sight of the boy.
"His name is Midoriya... he's Shohei's friend." Well he wasn't really sure if Shohei'll consider anyone else but Hoshiko his friend, but he said it to help ease you up.
"Fri-end." You muttered, holding onto Aizawa's arm as the man slowly stood up. You hid behind him as Aizawa sighed and gave you a small pat.
He looked over to Midoriya, his soft look vanished and was replaced with the usual cold look he had on his class.
"Sorry, Mr. Aizawa." Midoriya scratched his head as Aizawa gave him the stack of papers.
"It's fine. It's technically my fault... should've been the one to get it." He said as he gestured you to het back on the chair and resume you drawing. "I'll go back to class, alright? No more crying, ok?" You nodded. He patted your head before leaving with Midoriya. "That's (Y/n), the kid you've been wanting to meet... guess you can understand why I haven't been replying to your emails."
"Yeah... she's... pretty scared."
"She's still adjusting... and you could say she was having a pretty hard time, especially with people she doesn't know." Aizawa sighed, scratching his head. You've been wanting to come with him to class, seeing as you're not really comfortable being left alone in the teacher's lounge, but he was afraid of how his class will act towards you and, well, he was afraid you'd accidentally use your quirk.
"Yeah... sorry, again, Mr. Aizawa."
"Its fine." Aizawa sighed as he opened the door to his class, "Maybe one day, I'll let you come and visit my place to meet her" Midoriya just ended up smiling for the rest of the day.

Yamada was teaching you how to read, letting you read a kids book that he had picked out.
"S-she th-the-en... s-sai-d... b-bye... d-daâdy."
"Aren't you quick!" Yamada smiled at you as you looked at him with your big bright eyes. "And I think we're done."
"Zashi..." you called as he looked at you with a very happy smile. Like everyone who had met you, you had a spell on him, and he was very much in love with you and your cuteness. You muttering out his name was enough for him to go feeling mushy. "W-what... wha-at is... da-ad-dy?"
"Daddy?" This was when Yamada got an idea. He gave you a big big grin. "Well, its another word for father, know what a father is?" You innocently shook your head. "A father is someone who cares for you... someone who protects you and keeps you safe."
"Keep m-me... Safe?" He nodded at your words. "Cares... pro- pro- tect..." you seemed to really try hard to think of it.
Yamada found it cute. He waited for a few moments, sure that you'd get it.
"What about Aizawa?" He giggled as you tilted your head, thinking about it further.
Your eyes lightened up. You didn't know how to smile, maybe your face muscles weren't use to it, so your eyes did it for you.
"Ai-Aiza-wa."
"Yeah? What is it?" You and Yamada slightly jumped at Aizawa, who gave you two a smile, interest in his eyes.
Yamada looked at you then ah him, shaking his head and you just mimicked him. "N-nothing, Sho."
"If you are teaching her english swear words, Hizashi, I'll-"
"I am not! How dare you assume me of teaching little listener how to curse!" Yamada looked hurt as he crossed his arms.
Aizawa rolled his eyes, bringing his hand out for you to take. "Let's go home... it's been a long day." His warm eyes looked down on you as you hopped off the chair and took his big hand in yours.
"See you tomorrow, Sho." Yamada grinned as Aizawa waved as the two of you left the faculty and started to walk the halls, meeting Shohei.
As you three walked, Aizawa asked: "So how was your day?"
"Fine." Shohei answered simply. Both men stood by your sides, pretty sure there were students staring. "Oh uh dad-"
"Yes?"
"Mina Ashido... she uh... asked me to if I wanted to join after class training tomorrow..."
"And what did you say?" Aizawa raised a brow as they left UA.
"I told them I'd think about it," he answered. "I didnt really know what else to say... I'm not too close to them."
Aizawa chuckle. "Then try to join them... maybe get to know them." He told the boy. "You'll need to know and get along with people if you want to be a hero... or even just work greatly in today's society."
You three walked home in a comfortable silence. School life was a different feeling, it was tiring, chaotic and sometimes boring, but it was still fun and a cool new experience.
