"Hoshiko Kageyama... Mother is..." Yamada was reading the papers again, quite sad to also find out that the girl's mother was one of his old acquaintances in his old radio station, the one before his current.

"She's 14... Birthday on Nov.13, XXXX" Yamada looked up at Aizawa as the man read the boy's file.

"He's 13... born on the 25th of December... Shohei... Shira-...Shirakumo." For some reason, just saying his name brought back a lot of memories. His mother and his uncle were in fact Aizawa's close friends and they... they're dead.

The looked over to the three of you, all still sleeping on the couch with the cats happily snuggling against them.

You gave a small groan, shifting away from the weight that the boy was slowly placing as he started to lean on you.

Your eyes fluttered open, rubbing them as you looked over to the two adults who waved over to you.

"Good afternoon, little listener." Yamada chuckled, cheeks red due to him holding back the urge to hug you tightly and pinch your cheeks.

The two other kids started to shift awake as well and the two adults decided that they'd have to tell the two about... who they really are.

"Wait... this... this is me?" Shohei looked more confused and had to take time to actually understand while the girl seemed to have understood quite quickly, but it didnt mean she was happy.

"Hoshiko..." it was a first to see her not so energetic. "I... I left that name behind... when she- my mom-... died."

Sad and quite... interesting to hear her say that.

"She died of a simple cold... but we were too poor to even get it checked or get the right medicine because my-... that man... used up all our money in gambling." Her brows were furrowed as she looked at the birth certificate. "I... I signed up for the lab experiments..."

The two heroes weren't sure on how to react, especially when she looked them right in the eyes as she admitted it.

"Don't- don't think that I signed up for all the killing and-.... I didn't know they'd do that.... all I knew was that I'd undergo a program where they'd train you and-...." she choked on her words, looking down in shame. "And... become a hero..."

"Hoshiko-" Yamada thought it would be too early to use her name on her, but he couldn't just keep calling her girl until she allowed him to use that name.

"I-I'm sorry!" The girl, Hoshiko exclaimed, making you and the boy jump. "I-It's just... my mom was still alive then and-... and I wanted to at least get her medicine a-and they said that they'd pay... they'd pay for my mom's expenses as long as I'd join and-and-.. I-I didnt know they'd make use do that- do those things-"

She was cut off by Yamada placing a hand on hers. Her heterochromic eyes connected with Yamada's green ones. He gave her a small smile, "Its alright... you were just a kid who wanted to save her mom... you didn't know and its not your fault."

She wrapped her arms around him as she let go of the tears she had been holding back and hiding behind a smile.

Aizawa looked over to the boy and saw how he looked at Hoshiko then at his own birth certificate.

The man could see the boy'd troubled look, a sad distressed look.

"I- I can't remember... anything bef-ore... d-does that make... me bad?" The boy, Shohei, looked up from the paper and into Aizawa's warm brown eyes.

His steel grey eyes only reminding Aizawa of someone he knew.

"No... you're not bad... you can't blame yourself." But deep in his mind, he was also hesitant. They were trained kids for years, who knows if Shohei's just playing amnesia victim with them.

But he had no proof if that and the look in the boy's eyes looked genuine.

His eyes distracted Aizawa.

"H-how do you know?" The boy got up and you shrunk at the corner of the couch. "How can you tell that I'm not bad and- and that I didn't want to kill all those people and that I-"

"Because you come from a good family." Aizawa had blurted out the most illogical thing he's ever said and now he couldnt take it back, especially since he wanted to believe it.

"What family?"

"Your mom." Aizawa sighed getting up and walking over to his little library and pulling out a polaroid photo from between the books.

He handed it to the boy while Yamada watched.

The blonde knew very well that his friend was not too comfortable with talking about the Shirakumo siblings.

"Your mom was my best friend's little sister." Aizawa sighed. "They were both amazing people... nice and thoughtful... always putting others before them." He could see how Shohei was not too convinced about it.

"They came from a rough place... you could say that they could have easily become villains because of their circumstances they were in." Aizawa looked the boy in the eyes. "But they didn't because they wanted to be good... they didn't want people to go through what they have been and that's what made them good people." The man sighed and leaned forward to get closer to the boy.

His dark eyes staring into Shohei's.

"But its up to you... you decide if you want to be good or bad... if you want to be a hero or a villain... thats up to you and only you... no matter what situation."

There was a thick silence for a moment.

"I... I want to be... good."

"Can I call you HeiHei (Hey hey)?" Hoshiko asked as you three sat in front of the dining table.

Aizawa was cooking some ramen while Yamada just standing there talking to him about random things.

"No."

"And that's a yes for me." Hoshiko giggles as Shohei rolled his eyes before they both turned to you.

"What about you? What's your name?"

Aizawa and Yamada froze, what were you going to answer to that? They never did ask your name.

"Y.N.14" they all frowned at your answer. You were so innocent and you truly believed that was you name... it was the only thing people in the lab called you.

"That's... not a name." Hoshiko didn't want to be mean, but she just wanted you to think of another name.

You tilted your head in confusion.

"N-no?" You inquired innocently. "N-not... name?..." The two shook their heads and waited for you to think of another one.

"This is sad." Yamada went on to drink his can of soda.

"T-then... kid?"

Yamada spat out his drink as you said it. "What?" He chocked as Aizawa glared at him for spraying the soda mixed with saliva on his favorite apron.

"K-kid.." you muttered shyly. "N-name... is... kid?" You were more on asking if it was a more appropriate name but they understood it as you saying it was your name.

"That's... I dont know if that is a name too." He looked over to Shohei as he shrugged.

Aizawa wanted to hit himself for just calling you kid, now it seems stuck to you.

"N-no?" You frowned as you had no more ideas on what your name could be. "W-at... b-out... S-swe-swee-t...h-e-arrr- t?"

Now Yamada was just holding his laughter as Aizawa's face went red. He did call you that at least once or twice. He also called you Honey.

And he has never called anyone pet names, at least not in public or around much people.

"I didn't know you were a sweetheart, Sho." Yamada nudged on his best friend, only earning a glare from him.

"That's cute but its still a no"

Now you were frowning, you didn't know the answer to the question and you felt bad. You didn't really care about the name, you just felt bad that you couldn't answer her.

Aizawa frowned a but as well. He felt bad that you didn't have a name and that you also didnt have any birth records.

It was as if you never existed.

He felt bad and he wanted to do something to help you, but he wasn't sure what. He just looked at the food he was cooking and tried to think of a way to at least give you a name because he didn't want to give you just any name.

That small thing was going to change your future.

For better or for worse.
