Until You're Here

Amara
"You know Brandon, you're a really cool guy"
"Thank you" He said and I noticed his cheeks went a little pink.
I felt bad, but I had to get out of here. Maybe he was a cool guy, maybe we could hang after all this. It's been a few days ever since I came here. I've had some opportunities to take his phone, but to be honest, I was scared. They were all risky.
"You seem really great too. I-I'm sorry that you're going through this" He said fiddling with his fingers.
"Going through what?" I asked.
Oh the constant kidnapping from different guys? It's cool, it's fun.
"Well ah- this" He said, "You're somewhere you don't want to be"
Should I say it? I'll say it.
"At least I have good company" I smiled.
"I'm glad to see that you're thinking of this positively" He chuckled.
I knew for a fact the phone was in his back pocket, I just had to get it somehow.
I don't want to touch his butt.
I was running out of ideas and I was getting so frustrated.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Who, me? Yeah totally" I said chuckling nervously.
My awkwardness will get me killed someday.
"I mean you have every right to not be okay" He said looking down.
"Brandon if you know how bad this is why don't you let me go?" I said getting straight to the point.
I mean it can't get much worse.
"What? I-I can't"
"Why?"
"I could lose everything. Including my life" He said.
"Well I've already lost everything" I said feeling my eyes tear up.
Oh no honey, we're not going to cry in front of him.
"Why did you choose to ruin people's lives as your job? Why didn't you want to be a normal person?"
He seemed speechless and shocked.
"I-It happened before I even realized it"
Great answer.
"I understand you're a little frustrated because of everything going on-"
"A little!?" I yelled.
"A-a lot!" He said standing up. He looked nervous, "Look, I'm sorry. If there's anything I can do to help other than helping you escape, I'll do it"
"I just miss home" I said hugging myself and sinking into my bed.
"Do you um-" He trailed off, "Do you want a hug?"
Just what I need.
I looked at him and nodded and he smiled and gestured for me to stand up.
We hugged for a few seconds and after I thanked him, he left saying he had to talk to Mr Scott.
I jumped into my bed getting under the covers.
"I guess stealing gums when I was five came in handy" I said looking at Brandon's phone.
Did I feel bad? Maybe.
I quickly dialed Ryder's number. I prayed to God that he did not change his number and that I remembered it correctly.
"Who's this?" He asked.
"Ryder it's me" I whispered.
"Amara?" He called out in shock.
"No time to be dramatic. You need to come get me"
I told him the address and he wrote it down.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"I won't be okay until you're here" I said and ended the call. I deleted the number from the phone's history. I left the phone on the mattress where Brandon was previously seated so that he thinks he dropped and went to sleep with a smile on my face.
I hope Ryder will be here when I wake up.

Ryder
"She literally called and gave me the address"
"What if it wasn't really her? Or what if they made her give you this fake address and it's a trap" Gordon questioned.
"I know her voice too well"
"Yes" Jason finally spoke up, "This is an actual address, I know which house this is" He said. "It will take a few hours to get there though"
"Well then what are we waiting for!?" I said and grabbed my car keys.
"Wait for us!" Aidan said.
"No, you are not coming" I told them.
"Why?" Aidan pouted.
"I can't risk you getting into trouble because of me"
"We are far better than you!" Aidan said crossing his arms.
"Aidan don't lie" Alexander whispered loud enough for us to hear.
"You are so dumb" Aidan snapped at him.
"Alright let's go while they're fighting" I told Gordon and Jason, "I can't waste any more time"
This call had set me on fire, I couldn't wait to get there even without a plan. I had time to think about it while we were getting there. It's not like the plan worked out last time.
We got in the car and Jason started driving since he knew where we were going.
"Will it take too long?" I asked.
"About an hour and a half" Jason answered.
I sighed and started thinking of what to do. I couldn't focus on a plan right now, all I could do was worry about her and wondering if she was okay.
I won't be okay until you're here.
Did she know how much this sentence affected me? Did she know how good but worried it made me feel? I felt fucking elated to hear that she wanted me there, even if it wasn't that deep. I couldn't wait to have her fucking close to me again and tell her how much I'd missed her.
"So any plan?" Gordon asked.
"There is no plan" I answered.
"What-"
"We're not going to have the same conversation again"
"Fine" He said sighing.
When we got there, Jason made sure to leave the car somewhere far and hidden so they wouldn't know anyone is here. I was getting anxious. I felt my stomach turn and my hands were shaking.
This is the first time I've ever been this nervous.
"So we just go in there, I guess?" Gordon asked.
"I can help you sneak in" Jason said, "I know this place"
Suddenly we heard someone calling us in the distance.
"We told you to wait!"
The twins were here. They were out of breath too.
"How the fuck did you get here at the same time as us?"I asked.
" 'Cause you're slow as fuck" Aidan answered.
"If you don't tell me how you got here, I'm never letting you play with the dogs again" I said crossing my arms.
"We took the bus!" Alexander quickly answered.
Aidan tried holding in his laughter, but ended up laughing anyway.
I didn't know Alexander had a soft spot for dogs.
"Let's not waste any more time" Jason said.
Well here we go.
