Divorce
Chapter 32
Angela helplessly smiled, pushing the grilled pork ribs back to him. âYou are the one who should eat more. After all, you work hard every dayâ
Jennifer couldnât bear it anymore. She looked at Kenneth with teary eyes and said, âKenneth, have you forgotten what you promised mer
Kennethâs face changed slightly, and he remained silent.
Sensing the strange atmosphere, Paul quickly stepped in to smooth things over. âMr. Sinclair, let me toast you.â
Kennelly dalnât refuse, and Paul skillfully shifted the topic after they both took a sip of wine.
The atmosphere became somewhat harmonious. After Angela was done, she put down her fork and stood up. âIâm fullâ
She turned to leave, but Kenneth grabbed her wrist with a strength that she couldnât break free from.
âKenneth, what are you doing?â
Angela
whispered angrily,
Kenneth looked at her coldly. âStay with me. Iâm almost done hereâ
Iâm going out for a walk.â
âThen join you
Angela looked impatient, but before she could speak, Paul interjected, âAngela, please stay here with Mr. Sinclair for a while. Heâs been drinking a lot and barely ate anything. You should take care of him.â
Hearing this, Angela smiled helplessly and glanced at Paul. âDidnât you already arrange for someone to pour drinks for him! Jennifer seems to be doing a good job. She should continue.â
Jenniferâs face suddenly changed. She intentionally did so to irritate Angela, but Angelaâs comment made jennifer feel she was being treated as a
Jennifer stood up, looking aggrieved at Angela. âJennifer, 1 did that because you only focused on your meal. If you donât like it, Iâll just stop.â
Angela, annoyed by Jenniferâs hypocritical demeanor, raised an eyebrow and scoffed coldly, âRight, youâre so caring. You even took care of him in bedr
Jenniferâs lips turned pale, and she trembled, unable to speak.
Karen slammed her fork on the table, looking at Angela with disgust. âYou havenât fulfilled your duties as a wife, and you still have the nerve to blame Jennie! Besides, Jennie has always been close to Mr. Sinclair. Are you jealous of her because she poured drinks for him!â
Angela chuckled and replied sternly, Tm not jealous. Sheâs doing a good job, so I suggested she keep doing it

The atmosphere in the dining room became extremely awkward, Angela smiled, âEnjoy your meal. Iâll be leaving now.â
Watching Angela leave, Karen, furious, turned livid. âAngela, if you dare to leave today, donât come back ever again!â
âKaren!â Paul looked at Karen angrily, his eyes filled with fury.
1, Paul had warned Karen to control her emotions. He hadnât expected Karen to lose her temper
Before Angelaâs arrival, Paul |
Paul worried that this might anger Kenneth and harm the Lewis family
Kenneth looked indifferently at Jennifer, who was still crying, and said. âIâll be leaving too. Thank you for tonight, Mr. Lewisâ
Paulâs face turned grim, but he mustered courage and said, âMr. Sinclair.. the project I mentioned in the study earlier.
Expressionless, Kenneth replied. âThe Lewis Group can bid, but whether you can secure the project is up to you.â
Paul felt slightly disappointed but thought being allowed to bid was lucky enough. He quickly said. âThank you, Mr. Sinclair! Let me see you outâ
âNo need
Kenneth just stepped out of Lewis Manor when Jennifer caught up with him. âKenneth, do you really not like me anymore?â
Kenneth turned to look at her. Jenniferâs eyes were swollen from crying, and her gaze was Elled with sadness

Chapter 32
Kenneth remembered how Jenniferâs eyes used to sparkle with joy.
Jennie, itâs windy outside. You should go back, Kenneth said.
Seeing Kenneth about to leave, Jennifer suddenly hugged him, sobbing. âNo, if you donât answer me, I wonât let you go!â
Kenneth frowned, feeling a surge of irritation. He said sternly, âJennie, let go!â
âNo!
Jennifer shook her head with tears, her voice quivering. âHave you forgotten what you promised me at the resort when we were eighteen?â
Kenneth was stunned for a moment, filled with complex emotions.
He pulled Jenniferâs hands away, looking back at her sternly. âJennie, Iâve never forgotten.â
That was why Kenneth tried to fulfill all of Jenniferâs wishes. Even though he knew Jennifer had hurt Angela, he never blamed her.
Then why wonât you divorce Angels if you havenât forgotten?â Jennifer asked.
Kenneth didnât answer. He couldnât understand why the thought of divorcing Angela made him so resistant.
Jennifer blinked, tears rolling down her cheeks. âKenneth, have you fallen in love with Angela?â
Kennethâs eyes widened, and he frowned, âJennie, donât overthink it. It is impossible for me to fall in love with her.â
âIf you donât love her, why wonât you divorce her? You have many other ways to repay her for taking care of you. You didnât need to ruin your life. I can help you repay her! As long as she lets you go. Iâm willing to do anything!â
Faced with Jenniferâs pleading look, Kenneth was struggling. After a long time, he finally said, âJennie, let me think about itâ
Jennifer knew she couldnât push Kenneth too hard. She nodded tearfully. âOkay, Iâll wait for you!â
After Kenneth left, Jennifer wiped away her tears, her eyes filled with resentment.
Jennifer thought the only way to be with Kenneth again was to make Angela disappear!
Shortly after Kennethâs car left Lewis Manor, he saw Angela.
She walked slowly down the hill, her postu
posture as upright as her unyielding personality.
Kenneth remembered the question Jennifer had asked him at the gate of Lewis Manor.
He wondered if he loved Angela
He felt he didnât love her. Otherwise, he wouldnât have stood by when the Lewis family bullied Angela, and he wouldnât have let Jennifer off so easily when she schemed against Angela.
Kenneth thought perhaps he had overlooked Angela in the past because she was always meek and submissive. But now he felt like he was losing control of Angela
Realizing this, Kenneth understood why he had been feeling off lately.
He believed his interest in Angela was mere curiosity, not love.
Kenneth stopped his black Maybach beside Angela, rolling down the back window to reveal his cold face.
âGet on my car he said.
Angela looked at him indifferently. âNo need, Iâve already called a friend to pick me up
Kenneth scoffed coldly, âAngela, are you angry with me? Just because I didnât help you at Lewis Manor!â
Angela smiled, âWould you care if I was!â
âNo!â
âThen it seems not your busines.â
Kenneth became gloomy Angela. Iâm running out of patience
Angela scoffed sternly, âSo does mine, Mr. Sinclair. 1 donât care who you like, but youâd better rein her in. If she schemes against me again, even you
can protect her. Believe it or not!â
Kennethâs eyes widened in anger. âWhat do
do you mean by that?â
She replied. âMy grandfatherâs birthday party, I think you know what Iâm saying!â
A Lamborghini pulled up in front of the black Maybach as she spoke.
The Patrick got out of the car and walked towards Angela
