Part One
Love Ray 2000 - Dogman x Petey
Dogman was lying peacefully on his couch, wrapped up in a cozy blanket with Li'l Petey curled up on his head. It was the weekend, and that meant it was Dogman's turn to look after his adoptive child.
Li'l Petey had a habit of finding the warmest spot available, and with Dogman's thick fur providing the perfect warmth, it was easy for the kitten to settle in for a nap. His tiny body was nestled comfortably in the soft fur, taking full advantage of the heat his canine dad radiated.
The house was quiet, save for the occasional gentle snore from Dogman and the soft purring of Li'l Petey. The early morning sun peeked through the blinds, casting a warm glow on the room, but neither of them seemed to notice. They were both in a deep, restful sleepâuntil suddenly... RING RING RING. The shrill sound of an alarm echoed through the house, cutting through the peace like a knife.
It was the alarm. Actually, it was four alarms. Dogman had to set multiple alarms at 06:00 every morning just to ensure he could wake up on time and make it to work, avoiding the scolding he would inevitably receive from Chief if he was late. The alarms seemed louder every day, and each time, they startled Dogman awake, even though he'd gotten used to the daily noise.
Groggily, Dogman blinked his eyes open. He felt a rush of panic, like he was waking up late, but as he glanced over at Li'l Petey, still sleeping soundly on top of his head, he realized it was just another morning. His heart slowed, but the noise of the alarms continued. Dogman sighed in his usual way, trying to calm his nerves.
Li'l Petey, undisturbed by the cacophony, purred softly and remained snug on his canine friend's head. Dogman chuckled at how the kitten could sleep through anything. Despite the loud ringing, Dogman remained calmâwell, mostly. He gingerly moved Li'l Petey off his head, being as gentle as possible not to disturb his little friend's peaceful slumber.
Dogman carefully placed the kitten in his bed, making sure to fluff up the blankets so Li'l Petey could get even cozier. He watched the kitten for a moment, marveling at how small and delicate he looked, before moving to start his day.
With a soft sigh, Dogman stood up from the couch, stretching his arms and letting out a long yawn. He shuffled to the bathroom, the cold tile beneath his paws a stark contrast to the warmth he'd just left behind. He turned on the shower, adjusting the temperature to a cold, refreshing blast. The chill helped wake him up, sending a shiver through his body, though it didn't make him jump the way the alarms had. Dogman let the cold water rush over him, feeling the weight of sleepiness slowly fade away.
Once he was done with his shower, Dogman stepped out and reached for his toothbrush. Brushing his teeth was a familiar part of his morning routine, and he went through the motions mechanically, knowing what came next: the hustle and bustle of getting to work and making sure everything was in order.
With his routine well under way, he felt more awake and ready to take on whatever challenges the day might throw at him. The day had only just begun, but Dogman already knew it would be another adventure.
On the other hand, Petey had been staying up all night, tossing and turning in his bed, his mind consumed with dark thoughts. He couldn't stop thinking about how he could finally destroy Dogman once and for all. After all, how many more times could he stand being chased by that pesky police dog? How many more times would he be arrested by the very same Dogman, only to end up in cat jail again and again? Petey had come up with countless plans, but none of them seemed to work. The dog was always one step ahead.
However, as the night wore on and the hours slipped away, an idea suddenly struck Petey like a bolt of lightning. He sat up straight, his eyes wide with realization.
"That's it!" he thought, his face breaking into a wicked grin. "If you can't destroy your enemy... make him fall in love with you!"
The idea was so simple, yet so brilliant. Petey didn't need to defeat Dogman with strength or cunningâhe just needed to make Dogman so infatuated with him that the dog would no longer see him as an enemy. Instead, Dogman would see him as a friend, maybe even something more, and Petey would be free from ever facing another arrest or trip to cat jail again.
Petey began to chuckle to himself, the wheels turning in his mind. The perfect solution was already within his grasp. He had a secret weaponâa laser gun he had developed in his spare time. But this wasn't just any laser. No, this one had a very specific purpose: to make anyone it shot fall in love with the person who fired it.
The idea was simple: he would point the laser at Dogman, and the dog would fall helplessly in love with him. No more chasing him down, no more trapping him in the cat jail. Dogman would be so smitten with Petey that he'd never want to hurt him again.
With a mischievous glint in his eyes, Petey knew he was about to embark on his most devious plan yet. And this time, it wasn't about destructionâit was about turning his enemy into his biggest admirer.
Well, now all Petey had to do was hop into his flying robot, shaped exactly like his own head, and head straight for the center of the city. This was his tried-and-true methodâthe one that never failed to get Dogman's attention. The flying robot, with its sleek, polished surface and glowing eyes that resembled Petey's own, had been custom-built by Petey himself. It was as much a work of art as it was a weapon of chaos.
As soon as Petey activated the robot, it would rise into the air with a soft, mechanical hum, its large, round head-shaped body gleaming in the sunlight. Petey had designed it to be fast, agile, and capable of creating just the right amount of destruction to provoke Dogman into action. Whether it was knocking over streetlights, causing a small explosion, or throwing harmless but terrifying objects around the city, the flying robot was sure to cause a scene.
The best part? Dogman would always show up in less than five minutes. It was a surefire way to lure him in. The chaos, the noise, the mayhemâit was like a beacon that called out to the police dog. Dogman, with his never-ending sense of duty, couldn't ignore it. Petey knew this. He had done it countless times before, and every single time, Dogman would appear, charging in with his heroic attitude, ready to stop whatever disaster Petey had caused.
Petey sat in the cockpit of the robot, his fingers hovering over the controls. He could already imagine the scene: the citizens running in panic, Dogman racing to the rescue, and in the middle of all the chaos, Petey would unleash his masterstrokeâthe laser gun aimed at Dogman, making him fall in love with him, just as planned.
It was perfect. Petey knew that once Dogman was under his spell, the police dog wouldn't be able to arrest him anymore. Instead, he'd be too busy fawning over his new 'best friend'âor whatever else he thought Petey would be to him.
With a deep breath, Petey activated the flying robot's engines, sending it soaring into the sky. The gleaming head-shaped craft cut through the air like a missile, and Petey couldn't help but smile. Today, his plan was finally going to work. Dogman wouldn't know what hit him.
-time jump to a while later- and just as he predicted, after sending a few cars into the air... there was Dogman, with his stupid, angry look staring straight at the cat. "Hey dogmaaan! What's up? Did you lose your ball or something? What are you doing down there? Come here and try to stop me!" Petey shouted through a megaphone.
Dogman made a small growl, the kind that signaled he was ready to spring into action. His ears perked up as his eyes locked onto Petey, who was gleaming with mischief. Without hesitation, Dogman leapt into action, his powerful legs propelling him forward as he ran towards his nemesis. The streets were bustling, but Dogman had only one goalâstop Petey's evil schemes before they got out of hand.
In a flash, Dogman found himself jumping onto a lady's umbrella as it whipped through the air, using it as a springboard to launch himself higher. He swung from a light pole, spinning rapidly, the streetlights blurring around him as he built momentum. With a final push, he hurled himself towards the flying robot, his body soaring through the air, determined to stop Petey before the situation escalated.
He crashed into the open cabin of the robot, landing directly on top of Petey with a loud thud. The impact sent both of them tumbling to the ground, the robot's mechanical arms flailing uselessly as they fell. Dogman quickly regained his balance, scrambling to his feet with his paws at the ready. He could see Petey sprawled on the ground, looking up at him with that same smug expression that always made Dogman's blood boil.
Without a second thought, Dogman grabbed his handcuffs, ready to lock them onto Petey's wrists and take him straight to the cat jail. But just as Dogman reached for the cuffs, something unusual happened. Petey, still lying on the ground, was grinning. In the blink of an eye, Dogman's instincts kicked in, but something felt... off.
Petey wasn't looking at him with that usual defiant glare. No, this time, Petey reached into his pocket, and before Dogman could react, he pulled out a sleek, shiny device: the Love Ray 2000. Dogman's heart skipped a beat as Petey aimed it directly at him, the beam flashing bright and fast. Dogman didn't have time to react as the ray struck him square in the chest.
The moment it hit, Dogman felt as though every muscle in his body had been jolted by a powerful shock. It wasn't painful, but it was overwhelming. His fur stood on end, and his head spun with confusion. His heart raced, and a strange warmth spread through his chest, one that was completely foreign to him. He staggered back, blinking rapidly, his brain struggling to process what had just happened. What was this feeling?
He looked up at Petey, and for the first time, something in his gaze shifted. The cat was still on the ground, watching him with a knowing look in his eyes. Dogman's heart skipped a beat, and a flutter of nervousness surged through him. What was happening? Why did he feel this way?
Petey's voice broke the silence, a teasing lilt in his tone. "Dogman...?" he said, touching his forehead lightly as if playing a part. "Is something wrong?"
Dogman opened his mouth to respond, but his bark got caught in his throat. There was something so different about the way Petey was looking at himâsomething that made Dogman's heart race in a way he had never experienced before. He couldn't help but notice how the light in Petey's eyes made his stomach twist in an unfamiliar way. He was starting to feel... nervous, and that was the last thing he ever expected to feel when facing his arch-nemesis.
The realization hit him like a ton of bricks. The ray... it worked. Petey had used the Love Ray 2000, and now Dogman couldn't look at him without feeling an overwhelming sense of... affection? Was that it? Was he actually feeling this way about Petey, his sworn enemy? How could this be?
Petey knew exactly what was going on. He had a mischievous glint in his eyes, almost as if he could read Dogman's mind. The ray had done its job perfectly. Petey was no longer just his enemyâhe was now the object of Dogman's sudden, uncontrollable feelings.
Dogman struggled to collect his thoughts, his usual confidence shaken. "I... I don't... what's happening to me?" he said in sign language , still trying to understand the emotions flooding through him. He had been trained to catch criminals, to stop evil, but this was something completely different. It was as if the very essence of his feelings had been twisted, and the love he had always denied suddenly felt like it was being forced upon him.
Petey's grin widened, watching the confusion and hesitation play across Dogman's face. "Oh, Dogman," he teased, "I think you know exactly what's going on."
Dogman's mind was spinning. He had no idea what to do now. His instincts told him to take Petey into custody, but his heart... his heart was telling him something entirely different. He looked at Petey once more, and this time, there was no mistaking it. The ray had worked. And now, the unthinkable had happened. Dogman was in love with his enemy.
Petey's eyes gleamed with wicked satisfaction as he watched Dogman, still overwhelmed by the effects of the Love Ray 2000, stare up at him with a confused expression. He had successfully turned his enemy's world upside down, and now, with Dogman at his mercy, the possibilities were endless.
"Oh... this is going to be fun!" Petey murmured to himself, a sly grin creeping across his face. "Without Dogman here to stop me, none of those clueless cops will be able to do anything about my plans."
Petey paced back and forth, already imagining the chaos he could cause. But before he could take any further action, he needed to test somethingâa final confirmation.
With a mischievous glint in his eye, Petey approached Dogman, who was still a little dazed from the ray's effects. He crouched in front of him and, in a playful tone, gave the command: "Sit, Dogman!"
To Petey's amusement, Dogman immediately obeyed, sitting down with his tail wagging, looking up at Petey with loyalty. There was no fight, no resistance. Dogman, his long-time rival, was now under his control.
Petey couldn't help but let out a quiet chuckle, the sound echoing in the silence. "This is... too good," he thought, savoring the moment. "I finally have Dogman right where I want him."
With a gesture, Petey looked down at his newly obedient "pet." "Come here," he ordered, reveling in the power he now held over his former adversary.
Dogman, without hesitation, hopped toward him, tail wagging energetically, completely trusting in his new role to obey.
Petey, now fully in control, observed his "dog" with satisfaction. He had achieved the unimaginable. The once unstoppable hero who had foiled so many of his schemes was now just a pet, faithfully following his commands.
"This is too easy," Petey murmured, his smirk widening. "With Dogman by my side, I can finally do whatever I want."
And with this newfound advantage, Petey was ready to unleash his plans, knowing that the hero who had once thwarted him was no longer a threat but an unexpected ally.
