Yernia glanced up at the woman.
Who was that?
A blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty had stared at her with tears in her eyes.
Yernia had never seen that girl before.
âHey, do you want some tissue?â When Yernia secretly asked her, the woman went out quickly. âWhat?â
âWhat? Who is it? Do you know her?â Seria asked.
Yernia shook her head worriedly.. âNo. I donât know.â
She couldnât understand why she suddenly cried in front of her.
Nevermind.
Yernia stood from her seat to deal with the glass bottle Seria had given her.
Since she had no desire to be nagged at, Yernia sneaked out from the waiting room while Seria and Ivan were away.
âOh. Cassianââ
When she went to the back of the temple, Yernia found someone wearing white robes, and he looked familiar.
He turned his head slightly to the side.
As expected, Â she was right.
It was Cassian.
He looked different in formal attire that it felt like she had just seen a stranger.
Yernia tried to call him, but she suddenly shut up when she heard someone cry.
âYouâre so mean, Cassian. I didnât even know you were getting married!â
It was a woman.
The blonde woman.
Yernia immediately recognized this woman who had cried in her waiting room earlier.
Cassian stepped backward to avoid the woman who rushed at him, and when she tried to get a hold of his sleeve, he nervously slapped the womanâs hand away.
âPlease donât touch my robes with your dirty hands.â Cassian gave the woman a cold stare.
The woman screeched. âYour destiny is a fake, Cassian! I know everything.â
What?
His destiny was fake?
Yerniaâs eyes widened in shock.
âDonât be delusional. Just shut up and get lost. Donât ruin my mood.â
âI like you.â
âI donât even know your name.â
For a moment, Cassian didnât look like someone she knew.
He had a strange countenance and even used a different tone of voice.
At this moment, there was no hint of friendliness on his face.
The gentle and playful Cassian was nowhere to be found.
âCome to think of it. Cassian had treated Yernia like that in the novelâs original plot!ââ
Yernia had become close to Cassian that she forgot he used to be like that.
âYouâve never liked anyone, have you? Even if others like you, you donât know how to be grateful, Cassian. Do you even have feelings inside that black heart of yours?â
Yernia realized too late that she had no right to listen to other peopleâs conversations, so she took a step back and hid behind the wall of that building.
She moved away from there in silene quietly as if she wasnât there in the first place.
âWho said that?â Â Cassian turned his head to the woman again. Â âI do like someone.â
What?
Cassian had a girl he liked?
Herena?
No, no, she hadnât even appeared yet.
Then who is it?
Did Cassian love someone else?
Did that even make sense?
Cassian is the main character in this novel, so it was only natural for the male lead to love only one female lead.
Did the novelâs original plot change because he liked someone else?
âWho is it?â
âYouâll see. Donât stick to me anymore.â
Confused from what she had just heard, Yernia took off and hurried out.
She couldnât believe Cassian liked someone else!

âHere comes the bride!â
The door of the Main Hall opened with the officiantâs voice.
Cassian stood before the altar and swallowed hard, trying to keep a poker face to hide nervousness.
He turned his head to see Yernia approach him in her wedding gown, and he couldnât take his eyes off her for a long time.
Her head was slightly lowered, but he could see her red lips.
Yerniaâs eyes were slightly drooping from her thick, dark eyelashes.
Despite being covered in a translucent veil, Yerniaâs beauty was out of this world.
Damn it!
How can she be so pretty?
He didnât even have time to visit his brideâs waiting room since he had to shake hands with many high-ranking nobles, including the  Emperor.
This was the first time Cassian had seen Yernia  on their wedding day.
When Yernia moved closer and glanced up at him, he flinched, and his hand trembled uncontrollably.
âWhat should I do?â
He wanted to carry Yernia on his back and take her to the bridal suite.
Everyone watched Yernia when he began lifting her veil.
He was so eager for their wedding to end as soon as possible.
He had been waiting for this moment for so long.
âDoes Duke Lecardo vow to cherish and love Yernia Cilliard for the rest of his life?â
Isnât it obvious?
âI swear.â Surprisingly, he was still able to answer calmly despite the noisy murmur inside the temple.
âDo you swear to love and cherish Duke Lecardo for the rest of your life?â
It was time for Yernia to respond, but she didnât say anything.
For a moment, she glanced at Cassian with curious eyes.
What was the matter?
Cassian could hear his blood rushing through his veins.
The officiant asked again, and this time, Yernia said yes.
He disliked the hesitant answer, but it will do.
Next was the kiss of oath.
Yernia reached out her hand.
Before the wedding, they agreed to kiss the back of each otherâs hands.
However, Cassian grabbed Yerniaâs hand and pulled it toward him, sealing their wedding vows with a kiss.
ââ¦â¦!â
Yenaâs eyes went round.
