Chapter 51

Skylar's POV

As soon as I heard that my baby girl was going to be home soon I got

so excited and very nervous. We were all in the living room waiting for

them to arrive that I couldn't sit still and ended up pacing around the

room. It wasn't until I heard the rumbling of an engine before it cut off

that I stopped in my tracks and stood frozen to my spot as I stared at

the living room doorway as I heard 3 sets of footsteps approaching the

front door before I heard someone knock. Jasper answered the door

seeing as Jace and I were too nervous and frozen to each other to

answer it, so he greeted them. I saw Lucy first making my eyes water as

I hugged her back knowing I've missed her and was so grateful for her

being here to look after my daughter. As soon as Lucy moved Jace and

I dropped to our knees crying as we laid eyes on our little girl who

wasn't so little anymore making me feel extremely guilty for everything

that has happened to her.

After telling her who we were and saying how much we loved and

missed her she started crying as she ran at us and threw herself into our

arms. We held her closely and stayed like that for what seemed like only

a few minutes but was actually like an hour long. Lilith pulled away

from us sniffling before she said she was hungry making everyone

giggle at how precious and adorable she was. Jasper came up to us and

leaned down and told her to come with him and he would make her

something to eat while Jace and I talked with Lucy.

Once Jasper and Lilith were in the kitchen laughing and talking about

what she would like to eat I heard Lucy clear her throat as she stood

there nervously. Looking at her questioningly I heard Jace clear his

throat before he spoke cutting through the slightly awkward silence in

the room.

"Lucy I am so glad you are safe, I also wanted to thank you for helping

to protect Lilith for us since we could not at the time. I would also like

to know who this gentleman is standing behind you?" Jace asked her

gently

"Oh umm...this is Tate he's the Mystic Pack’s Beta and he also happens

to be my mate. I am glad to be safe as well and I would do anything for

Lilith, she is such a sweetheart and I loved being around her all the

time. I'm going to miss seeing her all the time and seeing all of you

guys as well since I won't be here anymore. Since my mate is a beta I'm

going to be moving to the Mystic Pack to be with him because I

couldn't ask him to give up anything for me plus I could use a fresh

start. I love you guys but there are too many memories and it's hard

being here without everyone. We already have the paperwork for my

transfer I just need you guys to sign off and fill out everything you need

to and I will finish the rest. Tate and I will be here for a few days to pack

my things up and load up our vehicle before we head back and Alpha

Derek already knows and told us to take our time doing so." Lucy said

all at once

We stood there in silence letting everything she just said to us sink in

before we looked at each other. nodding to each other we looked over

at Lucy and smiled before bringing her into a group hug.

"Lucy we are so very proud and happy for you and we understand

everything. Neither of us would've asked you to choose or let you stay

here we would have told you to go and be with your mate anyways

since that is our way. We are so very happy for you finally finding your

mate, we know how long you've been waiting for this day to come" I

told her smiling while I held her hands in mine.

"Thank you Luna Sky I appreciate it very much and I am so glad you

both are alright and that you both were able to make it home safely.”

She says with tears in her eyes

"Now give Jace the paperwork and we will all head to the kitchen to fill

everything out together as we all spend time with Lilith and Jasper. Also

we will be holding a little ceremony for Alex and Amber before you

leave so that you can say your goodbyes as well. After that we will be

holding a dinner celebrating them as well as saying goodbye to you

and wishing you and your mate a very happy life together.” I say to her

as tears are now streaming down both of our faces.

Lucy handed Jace the paperwork and we all filled it in and signed it

together as we all had a bite to eat. Once everyone was full and the

paperwork was done we all went out side and enjoyed our time

watching Lilith run around playing and laughing and having fun. It was

nice for all of us to do this again even after everything that had

happened during these last few months. The next few days sped by so

fast and it was finally time for us to hold the little ceremony for Alex

and Amber so we could all say our goodbyes. We all prepared

statements and read them out loud and then we all placed flowers on

their grave before we headed inside. We all ate dinner together

celebrating the lives of Alex and Amber since they were taken from us

to soon, we told stories and laughed and kept their spirits alive in our

hearts before we toasted Lucy and Tate on finally finding each other as

everyone else got drunk celebrating everyone and having some fun for

once. I sat there and watched everything go on as I held Lilith in my

arms as she was starting to doze off. I went upstairs and walked into

her room and saw that nothing in it had really changed at all. I placed

her in her bed and sat there staring at her for a little while before I

reluctantly made it downstairs and interacted with everyone else while I

checked in on her every now and then before everyone went to bed for

the night.
