Chapter 50

Lucy's POV

I was just lounging around outside in the nice warm sunlight as I

watched Lilith run around the yard. It was peaceful and nice knowing

that I will be doing this with my own pups one day now that I have

finally met my mate and who knew that he was only a 2 days run form

my own pack who would've known if only I had gone on an adventure

for a few days before maybe I would have found him sooner. Tate has

been nothing but helpful with Lily and just watching him with her

shows me just ow much of a great father he is going to be one day.

As I was watching Lilith try to catch butterflies I felt a hand touch my

shoulder as the tingles started to radiate from the spot I knew exactly

who it was. I looked up at my mate who was squatting behind my

shoulder while he looked down to admire me.

"Hello there gorgeous having fun in the sun I see” Tate smiles at me

before he sits and brings me close to his chest before he tilts my chin

up to kiss me.

"Hi handsome how was your meeting with Derek about me joining your

pack?" I ask curiously

"It went well baby, Derek will be drawing up all the paper work for you

to fill out and have your former Alpha sign off on it when they are back

from their mission. The paper work should be done in about an hour

and then we can start filling it out and then when you find out your

Alpha's back we will go and see him to bring him his precious little girl

back and to talk to him about your transfer.” Tate says to me while he's

watching Lily looking up at the birds flying around through the trees.

As we were sitting there watching Lilith running around laughing

playing and just having fun I get a sudden mind link from Jasper and

my heart stops thinking it's something bad. I was not prepared at all for

what he was about to tell me in that moment.

“Lucy? Lucy it's Jasper can you hear me?’ I hear him ask hesitantly

Jasper I hear you loud and clear what's up any news about our Alpha

and Luna?" I ask him curiously as I prepare myself for the worst.

"Yeah I have and they are back home together. Skylar seems a little

rough but that's to be expected given what she had went through. They

asked about where Lilith was and I told them you had her over at the

Mystic Pack and that I would link you to tell you it's finally safe to bring

her home." Jasper said

“Alright I'm going to let my mate know and we will be on the road as

soon as possible and I will link you when we are close to the pack

house.’ I tell him

“Alright I'll see you in about a day or so and I will let them know you

both are on your way as well." He responds

I turn to Tate who was intently staring at me the entire time I was

talking with Jasper. I smile at him before I call Lilith over to us so I can

tell them both at the same time knowing Lilith was going to be very

excited to be going home to see her parents again. Once she was

settled on my lap I just sat there hugging and staring at her while her

and Tate stared intently at me before I told them what was going on.

"Well I finally heard from Jasper and he had some news and in fact it's

good news" I smile at them

"Lilith hunny your mommy and daddy are finally home and they want

to see you so we are going to be going to pack up and go back home

to them how do you feel about that?" I ask her

"YAYY MOMMY AND DADDY ARE BACK!!! I can't wait to see dem

finawy" she squeals as she gets up and jumps around making me smile

and laugh at how happy she is.

"So Tate baby how do you feel about a little road trip to my soon-to-be

former pack?" I ask cautiously not knowing how he's going to feel

about doing this so soon.

"I can't wait in fact Alpha Derek just linked me telling me that the paper

work is drawn up and printed out and waiting for us to go and pick it

up. I also just linked him telling him that I am going with you to bring

Lilith home to her parents and that we are going to be there for a few

days to pack up your things and talk to your Alpha about your transfer

and get the paperwork done and he said for us to take as much time as

we need." He tells me before we stand as he places a kiss on my lips

before we grab Lily and bring her inside to get us all packed up and

grab the paperwork we need for me to be transferred from the Night

Shade Pack to the Mystic Pack. Once we have everything we head to

the garage and set out to my pack.

Jace's POV

Once I knew that my beta had something to do with the attack on my

pack to get to my daughter I was enraged so I took off and went for a

run. I was running around the pack to just blow off steam and after

running for a couple hours I decided to head back to the house and to

my mate. When I shifted back and got dressed I walked into the house

and found my mate and Jasper standing in the kitchen staring out the

window looking at Amber and Alex's graves. I decided to head over to

them and hug them both showing my support during these hard times

even though I felt awful that I wasn't here to help when the attack took

place.

We ordered in for dinner and then we all went our separate ways,

Jasper went and ran patrol around the borders looking for any signs to

see if Lucas has been around. I don't blame him I know he's going to

kill him if he ever see's him again and I will not stop him not caring for

the life of my ex-beta, since he is a traitor to the pack and deserves

everything Jasper will do to him if he ever catches him. Skylar and I

decided to go to bed together and try to sleep but neither of us could

settle down thinking about how tomorrow we might have our baby girl

in our arms once again.

We spent the day in the training grounds as I sparred with Skylar trying

to help her regain her strength. It had been hours since we started and I

could see the exhaustion in Skylar's movements knowing very well she

was pushing herself too far and was going to collapse if she kept going.

"Baby it's time to stop before you collapse on the floor and I have to

bring you to the pack hospital” I tell her expecting her to resist knowing

just how stubborn she could be

"Your right I am pushing myself too much but I don't know what else to

do. I feel useless and weak and powerless and I just need to get myself

feeling my old self, the strong Luna I was all those months ago and not

this useless weak pathetic Luna I am now." She said as she fell to her

hands and knees crying.

I rush to her and pull her into my arms and just rub her back as she

cried on my shoulder. I knew she needed this and just needed to let

everything out and not keep it all bottled up inside. We stayed like this

for 2 hours before Jasper came in to let us know that Lucy and Lilith

were only an hour and a half away. As soon as Skylar heard that her

crying slowed and we got up and headed back to the house to shower

and get ready to meet Lucy and to finally have our baby girl back. I

know that the fact that Lilith was now cursed to have a much shorter

life span then she should because of who her mother is is haunting

Skylar even though she would never admit it I can feel her guilt and

pain through our mate bond.

I watched as Skylar paced in the living room for the next hour and a

half waiting for Lucy to show up with our little girl. I was also starting to

get impatient seeing that they still haven't arrived yet and then next

thing I know I heard a vehicle pull up outside. I knew Skylar heard it to

as I watched as she stopped pacing and stood stock still waiting for

them to come into the house. I went over to Skylar and wrapped my

arm around her shoulders and held her to me as we listened to 3 pairs

of footsteps getting closer and closer until they stopped outside the

door. They knocked and Jasper answered the door seeing as me and

Sky couldn't move we were frozen to the spot as we heard Lucy's voice

and the giggles of a little girl. They walked into the living room and we

say Lucy first as she ran to us and hugged us both as she started crying

and then she moved and we seen our little girl Lilith except she wasn't

so little anymore she was so big now and doing so much I couldn't

believe that this was my little girl.

Skylar and I sunk to our knees as tears ran down our faces as we stared

at our little girl in shock. I also noticed that there was some man in my

house but I didn't care at that moment, all I cared about was my

daughter.

"Lilith hunny I am so glad to see you baby girl, you have gotten so big

since the last time I saw you" I said to her making her blush

"Lilith it's mommy, oh how I have missed you. You have grown so big

over these past few months, I remember when you were just born

which was the last time I saw you. You baby girl was what kept mommy

going when she was away but I'm back for good and I promise I will

never ever leave you again” Skylar said through her sobs as Lilith

started crying and ran to us and threw herself into our open arms. We

sat there hugging our little girl and crying for what seemed like forever

before Lilith pulled away from us and said she was hungry. We nodded

our heads and asked Jasper to bring her into the kitchen to get

something to eat wince I wanted to ask Lucy something.

"Lucy I am so glad you are safe, I also wanted to thank you for helping

to protect Lilith for us. I would also like to know who this gentleman is

standing behind you." I asked her making her blush profusely.

"Oh umm...this is Tate he's the Mystic Pack’s Beta and he also happens

to be my mate. I am glad to be safe as well and I would do anything for

Lilith she is such a sweet heart and I loved being around her all the

time. I'm going to miss seeing her all the time and seeing you guys as

well since I'm going to be moving to the Mystic Pack to be with my

mate which is one of the reasons he's here with me so we could talk to

you about my transfer and have you help fill out the paperwork for it

that we have with us." Lucy told us shyly.
