Chapter 44

Skylar's POV

The last thing I remember was Candy helping me to escape the

mansion and then I got dizzy before collapsing and everything went

black. I have been surrounded by the darkness for what feels like

forever, I have been trying to wake up but nothing seems to work.

What is wrong with me I wonder I can feel my mate when he's around

me which makes me try even harder to try and wake up so I can be with

him again but nothing I do helps. There must have been something in

the last wolfsbane injection I got before being rescued that's doing this

to me. I wonder if they have figured out what it was but I mean if they

knew that then they would've woken me up already instead of me still

being asleep. All I want is to see and hold my mate again and then to

go home and see my baby girl I miss them so much and I am so close

to my mate and yet I feel so far away from him as well I wish I could just

wake up, oh Moon Goddess please help me I pray to her hoping she

can help me to finally wake up.

Jace's POV

It's been 4 weeks now and Skylar still hasn't woken up and the doctors

still have no clue as to why she is still asleep considering she should've

woken up a long time ago. I asked Alpha Jason of the Blue Willow Pack

is he had any witch contacts and he said he would reach out to one he

has worked with in the past to see if they could come and take a look at

Skylar and see if it's something magical that's keeping her asleep. Ever

since the night we broke into the old Blackwood Pack and killed their

alpha and entire pack that didn’t run away but ever since that night

Skylar has been asleep and so I believe the thing that that stupid

bastard was raving about before he cut out his tongue was what he had

done to my mate. Dalton and I have been going through everything

that we had packed up from his office to see if there was any evidence

about what he could a have done to her.

I decided to take a break from going through the paper work since I

was also done eating my lunch and decided to take Vance's phone with

me while I go and visit Sky like I always do everyday around this time.

As I'm sitting there holding her hand and talking with her hoping she

wakes up I sit back in the chair I'm in and decide to go through Vance's

phone. As I'm scrolling through the text messages one by one until I

find one that's very interesting. It's to someone named Sandra and he

was asking her if she could come over to discuss something about a

sleeping potion. Something about it makes a pit form in the bottom of

my stomach so i decide to link my gamma.

“Dalton go through things and find anything and everything you can

find about someone named Sandra and anything about sleeping

potions and when you do let me know and I'll be there right away" I tell

him

“Right away Alpha. How's Luna Skylar doing any changes?’ Dalton asks

with a sad tone

“No nothing new she's still the same as yesterday’ I tell him before I

block the connection

I sit there for a little while longer before I decide to go and talk with

Alpha Jason to see if he knows anyone by the name of Sandra or if he

can find anything out about her. I also want to see if he knows anything

about sleeping potions or if he knows a witch that can help because

right now I need all the help I can get from whoever I can get it from

right now.

Skylar's POV

I know I have been floating around in this darkness for a long time even

though all I want to do is wake up and see my mate and daughter

again.

Everyday I plead to the Moon Goddess hoping she can hear my pleas

and come to me and help me even if she can't help me and only talks

to me for a little bit would be nice, considering it would give me a

break from being surrounded from all this darkness all the damn time.

Once I wake up from this I am not going to want to me in the dark for a

long time even though I know it's going to be hard to go home and

getting back to normal because I don't even know what normal is

besides what my days consisted of being in that horrible place.

I was just floating around in the darkness crying out for my mate or my

daughter or anyone and that's when everything around me had started

to change very slowly. I could see the moon and trees and grass and a

big lake. I noticed that everything around me was very familiar but I

couldn't place where I had seen this place before until she appeared in

front of me once again. I sat on the nice soft grass staring at her as my

vision became blurry from the tears that were welling up in them.

"Moon Goddess you came. I can't believe you actually came I didn't

think you would come or if you even heard my prayers" I exclaim as the

tears spill over and run down my cheeks.

"My child of course I had heard your prayers and would come to you in

a time of need. I know you have been asleep for a very long time.” she

says to me

"I've been trying to wake up but nothing has been working I don't

know what's wrong with me or why I won't wake" I reply through my

sobs

"I know my child the one who had taken you had a witch make a

sleeping potion the he had injected you with during the last day you

were there" the Moon Goddess retorts

"If that's the case then how will I ever wake up if I can't do anything

because of a spell?" I question her

"You can still communicate with your mate through dreams like the one

who had during your imprisonment when he told you he was coming

for you. I had helped you reach out to him and plus you have the

power to do so as well all you have to do is focus your mind on your

mate and call out to him and you will be able to have a dream where

you can tell him the information I have told you about how to wake you

up.” She tells me

"Okay thank you Moon Goddess I owe you a great debt for helping me

through this and for telling me how to talk to my mate even though I

physically can't" I say with so much happiness and gratefulness lacing

my words

"There is one more thing I need to tell you about my child, it's about

your daughter. When you were taken one of the men stayed behind a

little bit and had injected her with vampire venom and vampire blood.

Both together are usually lethal to wolves but since you her mother are

a Hell Hound with alpha blood and your mate is an alpha as well her

body didn't reject them but accepted them. Unfortunately they have

sped up her growth, development and aging which means that she will

grow and age faster then a normal wolf would which will harm her and

shorten her life significantly which means you will lose her much sooner

then if she would've if she hadn't been injected with those. As soon as

you wake and are able to go home make sure you and your mate

spend as much time with Lilith as you can before her time is up." the

Moon Goddess says to me with a sorrowful look on her face.

"Thank you Moon Goddess for everything and I will make sure we

spend as much time with her as we can before she goes I promise you

that." I say to her before she vanishes along with the clearing and

everything leaving me once again in the darkness I had become so

used to over the time I have been asleep which feels like forever.
