Chapter 40

Lucy's POV

I was sitting in the panic room watching everything happening in the

pack house on the cameras that were installed for emergencies exactly

like this one. I was holding a sleeping Lilith as I saw 2 of my best friends

murdered as I sat there sobbing I could hear Jasper mind link me telling

me to go through the hidden passageway and run until I found the

Mystic Pack who would keep us safe and hidden until the time was

right to leave. I knew he was leading the guys who attacked us away so

that we could get away and so I quickly placed Lilith down while I

grabbed the emergency pack and secured it to me as I grabbed a sling

thing for carrying babies around in. Once I had it secured to my body I

grabbed Lilith and tucker her into it making sure she was comfortable

and hidden the best I could do right now.

I pushed the button on the wall that would reveal the tunnel and once I

was inside the door closed automatically as I jogged through the long

tunnel for about 20 minutes I finally found the end of it and I slowly

walked out into the dark forest knowing the sun had set and hour ago

which made getting away and blending in so much easier. As soon as I

knew it was safe I took the map out of my pocket that I earlier took out

of the pack and looked at it and seen that the Mystic Pack was to the

west of here. I automatically started heading west and ran for hours

until I had to stop and relax for a few moments before I completely

exhausted myself. I came across a little cave and sat in it to feed Lilith

and myself and to give myself a little break before continuing on. I ran

for two days straight with few stops until I finally stumbled onto the

Mystic Pack’s territory and as soon as I did I was surrounded by at least

ten wolves. I fell to the ground making sure not to harm Lilith when one

of the wolves shifted and asked me who I was and what I was doing

there.

"Who are you and why did you trespass on Alpha Derek's territory?” the

one who shifted demanded

I looked up to him and gasped as my wolf chanted “Mate’ in my mind

before I focused and answered him back, "Mate, I am Lucy from the

Night Shade Pack and this is Lilith Miller Alpha Jace's Daughter we were

told to come here and was told you would keep us safe and hidden

from the people who had attacked our pack to take the Alpha's

Daughter for a very bad man." I was able to say before I completely lost

consciousness but not before I heard my mate lean down and place a

soft kiss on my cheek before whispering in my ear.

"Rest now mate you and the little one are safe now. I will not let anyone

come near you or harm either one of you so sleep and we can talk to

the Alpha later when you are better." he whispers as I black out

completely.

Vance's POV

I heard back from my warriors I had sent to get Skylar's daughter but

what I found out was not good new but bad news. They told me one of

them had been killed and that they were extremely prepared for us and

had hidden the girl away and distracted them while someone got the

girl away to safety. I ordered them to come back to the pack house as I

told them it wasn't their fault and they would not be punished but

that's a complete lie. As soon as I see them they will be punished for

failing their Alpha.

I am royally pissed off with them for failing to get the little girl, needing

a release I decide to go and pay my little toy a visit and have some fun

with her. I walk past Candy who was leaving with Skylar's lunch dishes

when I walked in I saw her sitting on the bed and as soon as she saw

me she started shaking with fear. I grinned at her response to me as I

closed and locked the door behind me before walking over to the bed

and grabbing her by the hair and dragging her off of the bed. She's

crying and begging me to stop but I don't it makes me even madder as

I punch her in the stomach, the face and the ribs. I heard a loud crack

knowing I had probably broken one of her ribs, I continue to beat her

until I am satisfied and no longer angry.

Satisfied I look down at the sobbing and bloody Skylar on the floor and

smile as I turn to leave her there, as I am walking to my office I see

Candy, before she could get past me I step in front of her making her

stop dead in her tracks before I speak to her.

"Candy wash her up and use that special make up to cover any bruises

that are visible. Make sure she is in the dinning room on time for dinner

or else you both will not like the consequences of disobeying me." I

grow! out making her shake in fear

"Yes Master, right away Master" She responds before sprinting away

from me to get started. I smile when my subjects are frightened of me. I

head to my office to do some work before I go and get ready for dinner

with my special little toy.

Jace's POV

We had just finished finalizing our plans when I was overcome by fear

and pain knowing that these were not my feelings I knew that that

bastard had beaten her again. When my focus had come back to where

I was I looked over to Alpha Jason who was talking with his beta, once

they were done he turned to me and told me to go and get ready

because we were heading to the bastards mansion tonight and ending

all of this tonight as their spy was concerned for Skylar's safety and

needed to get her out sooner rather then later.

"Alpha Jace go and get ready and round up your warriors we are going

to Alpha Vance's territory and getting your mate back and ending him

once and for all.” Jason says to me

"You got it Alpha, we will meet you out front at 7 ready to go and kick

some ass” I tell him smirking before my gamma Dalton and I leave to

go to the house we were staying in to get ready and to inform all of my

warriors ready and informed before we had to come back to the main

pack house to leave. Finally I was going to get revenge on the person

who took my mate but I am also going to get my mate back after all

these months and once I have her I am never letting her out of my sight

ever again.
