Chapter 3

Skylar's POV

As we got closer to the pack house I heard children playing first and

then I saw them all running around, laughing, yelling with joy, joking

around and just having fun which brought a smile to my face and tears

to my eyes because it was a sight you never would have seen at my old

pack house and I really loved and enjoyed seeing how happy and loved

all the kids were which made me happy which is something I haven't

experienced in a very long time. When we got to the house the boys

brought me inside into the very large living room where I guessed that

held pack meetings seeing as the space was huge, I started fidgeting

with my hair as I sat there looking at what looked like at least 2

hundred people or more who started to come into the room. I looked

at the twins for reassurance and all they did was look at me with big

goofy grins on their faces which made me feel a little tiny bit better, by

now the room was full of people looking at me with worry and

suspicion in their eyes since they would wonder why there was a

random rogue in their pack house. As soon as Jace came into the room

and started talking all the hushed voices stopped and all the children

settled down as well as he addressed everyone.

Jace's POV

When I walked into the meeting room I was greeted with a great deal

of people looking at me with worry and suspicion in their eyes, which

made a tiny laugh escape my lips as how protective they can be of their

family and fellow pack members which made me very proud to be their

alpha. “Can I have everyone's attention please, now most of you are

probably wondering why I called this important pack meeting and I

know you are wondering who this gorgeous girl sitting here is and why

she is here, I would like to introduce you all to our newest pack

member whose name is Skylar. Now Skylar was a member of the Silver

Moon Pack but due to a very horrible past she will now be with us, I

refuse to go into detail about her past and what she went through

before she came here now so that she could move on to have a better

life. Now at first she may be very shy and timid towards everyone but I

would love it if everyone could be kind to her and welcome her with

open arms because I can assure you all that she means us absolutely no

harm what so ever to me or to all of you and I believe she will bring a

new hope to our future as a pack.” When I looked at Skylar I saw her

blushing and trying to hide her face behind her hair even though he is

such a beautiful girl which makes me wonder why that idiot of a mate

would reject such a beauty and I hope he lives to regret that decision.

“Now would Miss Skylar Rose please come on up here” I ask nicely in

my alpha tone.

Skylar's POV

Jace is a very handsome, kind and nice alpha and I can see why

everyone shows him the respect that he deserves and commands, now

when he called me to come on up to him I was very nervous but when I

looked out at everyone and seen some of the pack members with

smiles on their faces it made me smile and eased my nervousness a

little bit.

Some people were encouraging me as I walked up to Alpha Jace and

once I was in front of him he started to speak again. “Skylar Rose would

you so kindly repeat after me please” he said in the tone that all alphas

have but he seen that I was nervous and flashed me a big reassuring

smile which instantly made me feel a whole lot better. “I, Skylar Rose,

pledge that I will forever be trustworthy and faithful and honour our

pack in good times and bad. I shall show respect to everyone and

promise to never ever do anything to cause harm to the pack. I will

respect, trust, and honour everyone in the pack until the day I am no

longer in the pack or until the day I die.” Alpha Jace asked me to repeat

what he said.

“I, Skylar Rose, pledge that I will forever be trustworthy and faithful and

honour our pack in good times and bad. I shall show respect to

everyone and promise to never ever do anything to cause harm to the

pack. I will respect, trust, and, honour everyone in the pack until the day

I am no longer in the pack or until the day I die.” I repeated nervously

and after I was done repeating what Jace said I felt this giant weight in

my head as all of the new voices of the pack members started flooding

into my head through our newly formed mind link which made me

smile.

As people introduced themselves to me I was very grateful that they

asked little to no questions about my past and why I ran away from it.

Suddenly 2 girls my age came up to me, I thought that they were

beautiful and they said that their names were Lucy and Amber.

“Hi I'm Lucy” the blonde girl said

“Hey I'm Amber” said the girl with short black hair

“Umm I know that you already know my name but I'm gonna say it

anyways, Hey I'm Skylar and it's very nice to meet the both of you” I

said with a nervous smile

"AHHHH, OMG Lucy whisper/yelled at Amber we just found a new BFF

who isn't a stuck up bitch and she’s already friends with Jasper and

Alex” she exclaimed and the fact that they wanted me to be their best

friend made me so happy and complete in that aspect of my life that I

wanted to freeze time and stay feeling like this forever. While Amber

and Lucy were arguing over which one of them should be the one to

ask me to be their new best mate I smiled and hugged them “I would

love to become you guys' best mate” I told them happily and they both

laughed and hugged me back smiling from ear to ear like the cheshire

cat.

After everything that had happened today me and the girls spent the

rest of the night getting to know each other better and I told them

about everything that happened at my old pack and about my family,

how my parents are both dead and how my brother used to abuse me

everyday, how when I finally found my mate and how he decided to

reject me. When I was done telling them everything and they came out

of their shock they told me that they were going to ask Jace and the

twins to train me and turn me into a healthy badass that no one will

want to fuck with ever again. By the time me and the girls were done

chit chatting I felt exposed and exhausted and so I headed to bed, as

soon as I layed down on my king size bed and my head hit my nice soft

pillow I fell into a beautifully wonderful nightmare less sleep.
