Chapter 38

Skylar's POV

Vance had come into my room once more and had his way with me

before leaving me alone to cry myself to sleep for the second time

today. As I layed in bed scared out of my mind with this stupid burning

silver collar on I wonder how my mate is doing and how my baby girl

was doing. I wished I could see them once more before this place killed

me. I already felt like a failure for letting them take me instead of

putting up a fight like I should have but I knew if I did then they would

have taken my baby girl and who knows what that sick bastard would

have done to her. I know I heard my mate tell me something in that

dream I had of him and I wished with all my heart that it was real and

not just some dream my subconscious came up with to help me cope

with what was happening me in real life.

As I layed in bed crying wanting to hold my baby girl I heard the door

open and I visibly stiffened until I heard the voice of a woman and I

automatically knew it was Candy that had come in with a tray of food

and water for me to try and keep my strength up even though it was

hard with the wolfsbane injections. The only thing I had noticed was

that the wolfsbane injection would start to wear off quicker then they it

used to which meant that my body was slowly building up it's immunity

to it even though I pretend that it keeps me as weak as the first day as I

got here and was first injected. Candy unlocked the collar from my neck

and helped me to the bathroom and helped me bathe. Once I was

clean and shaven Candy helped me out and dried me off and then

lotioned me before helping me dress in some lacy underwear and bra

set before helping me into some nice soft sweat shorts and a tank top.

Once I was dressed we headed back into the room where I sat on the

bed and ate the food she brought in with her for me. As I was eating

and drinking the nice calming tea she had brought me I noticed she

was sitting there staring at me with very sad eyes. I finished my food

and finished the rest of the tea before I looked up to her and asked her

what was on my mind.

"Candy are you okay? You've been sitting there staring at me sadly this

whole time" I ask in a shy shaky voice that was hoarse from all the

crying and screaming I've been doing lately. I watched as she got up

and went and looked down either side of the hallway before she came

back and took my hands in hers.

"I can't take this anymore Skylar. I hate watching that bastard do these

things to you and I have much more I need to talk to you about but I

can't right now. I will come back later to talk to you about some

important things. I know the master will be coming back later to check

up on you but I don't think he will do anything bad so once he leaves I

will come back and tell you everything you need to know." She tells me

hurriedly not wanting anyone to walk in on our conversation.

Before I can even say anything back to her she gathered up the tray

with the plate and tea cup. Before she left the room she made sure not

to give me anything extra like a couple water bottles like she normally

does probably as an excuse to come back later tonight. Once Candy left

I couldn't stop thinking about what she had said to me and what she

meant by important things she had to tell me finally. I fell asleep for a

few hours I assume because when I awoke and looked out of the small

high up window that was barred I couldn't see any sunlight only

darkness telling me it was some time of night.

As I sat on my bed curled up reading a book in walked the ruthless,

psychotic Alpha Vance who seemed to be in a foul mood. I gulped

when I seen him and seen the anger in his eyes that focused on me and

nothing else. He came towards me and flung the book out of my hands

before he decided to take his rage out on me by beating me until I

blacked out from the pain. I awoke a few hours later on the floor

covered in bruises and blood as I had come open cuts that were still

slightly bleeding. I slowly sat up against the wall and noticed all my

clothes were torn and were barely on my body.

I crawled to the bathroom and collapsed into a heap on the floor as I

sobbed my heart out. I could hear the door open once again as I

cringed on the floor I silently sobbed in fear hoping it wasn't Vance

coming back to continue the beating. I heard a small gasp from the

door and I slightly relaxed as I noticed it was Candy that had come in to

check on me. She ran and got me a new change of clothes and helped

me wash all the blood away now before she dried me off and tended to

the cuts I had with the first aid kit. Once I was dressed in a similar outfit

to what I had on earlier she helped me over to the bed before she left

the room once again only to return about 10 minutes later with some

Advil and some more bottles of water.

"I can't take doing this anymore I'm getting you out of here. Skylar I

need to tell you something that only you will know about.” She tells me

looking me dead in the eyes

"Okay what is it you know you can trust me" I say back to her the best I

could behind my busted lip

"Okay well I don't actually work for Vance, he isn't me actual Alpha. My

Alpha is the Alpha of the Blue Willow Pack. I was sent here to become a

spy inside Vance's pack because of what he had done. He is a

disgusting and vile man who needs to be stopped considering he has

gone way to far since he has kidnapped you who were already marked

and mated and have a family. No one knows I don't actually listen to

Alpha Vance since I spy on things and hear things because everyone

just thinks I'm some stupid maid who means nothing so they don't

watch what they say around me." She says to me as I sit there looking

at her stunned as I sip on some water.

"I know your mate is here looking for you and he is with my actual pack

and I have sent them a message which will get to them tomorrow

afternoon letting them know I will disable the packs security with a

virus and meet them at a secret location that no one but me knows

about since I found it 2 years ago when I first started working here

undercover. Once I meet them I will have to leave them to make sure

that no one is nearby as they make their way into the mansion to kill

Alpha Vance. I am a key person in this working and so are you once I

know you are safe from anyone here I will make sure I get you to your

mate and we all get out of here alive so you can get back to your pack

and back to your baby girl." She tells me as she hugs me as tears

stream down my face in happiness knowing I will be leaving this hell

hole soon and that it will not become the death of me.

I hug her back tightly before slightly pulling away. "Thank you Candy

you are the best person I had ever met but why are you telling me this

now?" I ask out of curiosity

"I trust you and I can't stand seeing these things happen to you

anymore. This bastard needs to be stopped now before things go too

far and believe me I've seen what he can do and it's not pretty.” She

says in a haunted voice

"I promise to keep this to myself and to not let anything slip and I will

also make sure to play along with everything and try to not make Vance

mad until you come for me and take me out of here.” I say in a

whispered tone in her ear making her smile.

"Umm Candy, could you bring me a couple more bottles of water and a

small bottle of pop for me to drink?" I ask shyly

"Of course my lady I will be right back.” She smiles back at me as she

leaves and brings back what I asked for as I sip on the pop that tasted

so good and was a relief from the constant water and tea and coffee I

usually have served to me.

"Thank you Candy for everything if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have

made it here this long.” I tell her as a stray tear rolls down my cheek.

"Your welcome Luna. Try to get some sleep while I get everything set up

and ready" She smiles at me before she leaves to go and finish her

maid duties. It doesn't take me long to fall asleep since she was able to

give me something for the pain and also helped me fall asleep and get

a very restful sleep for the first time since I had been brought here.
