Chapter 22

Skylar's POV

Everything has been going great with me and Jace and the pack since

they all now know that I was pregnant with their alphas daughter. We

head out for the day of picking out a nice colour for the nursery and we

also have to pick out a theme for her room as well. As we stand there

looking at all of the colour choices for what seems like forever we

finally both agree on a colour. We decided to paint her room a medium

purple so it wasn't too bright or too dark it was perfect. After finally

choosing a colour we decide to go somewhere for lunch. As we ate our

lunch we talked about the things we still needed to get for her room

after we painted it and we agreed that the theme of her room was

going to be wolves which we both loved the irony of the idea.

After we were done eating lunch we decided to go to babies 'r" us to

look around and figure out what we were going to need for the

nursery. We decided not to get anything quite yet “cause we wanted to

paint her room first before we bought everything else. After looking

around I was getting really tired so we headed home to relax and watch

movies after we talked about what was going on.

Once we were back Jace knew how tired I was and he picked me up

bridal style and carried me to our room. Once we were finally in our

room Jace layed me on our bed and I started to drift off into sleep. Jace

climbed in next to me and I cuddled up to him.

"What was it you had to tell me?" I asked him sleepily

"Don't worry about it right now, just take a nap and we can talk when

you wake up” he says kissing me on the forehead as I drift off to

dreamland.

After I woke up from my nap I noticed that Jace wasn't beside me so I

got up and followed his scent which led me to his office. I walk into his

office without even bothering to knock I see him sitting behind his desk

staring at a piece of paper on his desk looking frustrated by it. I walk

over to him and sit on his lap sideways and kiss him on the cheek.

"Hey what's the matter baby?" I ask him with concern in my voice. He

sighs before handing me the paper he was staring at and as I read

through it I saw why he was so frustrated it was another note from vV

threatening my mate, my daughter and my pack and saying he was

going to take me away and that there was nothing anyone could do

about it.

"Why is he doing this to us?" I ask Jace as I start to cry into his shoulder

after putting the note back on the desk. Jace wraps his arms around me

and holds me tightly to him and rubs my back as he tries to soothe me

as I sob into his shoulder.

"It's going to alright baby we will handle this don't you worry I won't let

him take you away I promise.” He says to me trying his best to make

me feel better which it does enough to make me stop crying. We just

sat there for a while which was so comforting and safe that I ended up

dozing off wrapped in his strong safe arms. When I finally woke up I

realized I was laying on the living room couch when a very delicious

smell entered my nose, it was the smell of pizza and not just any kind of

pizza it was a meat lovers pizza which was my favorite. I sat up when

just as Jace, Lucy , Jasper, Alex, Amber and Lucas all came out of the

kitchen with food and drinks of their own. Everyone came in and sat on

the other furniture in the living room and we all sat there laughing and

eating as we watched disaster movie and when that was over we

watched IT and IT: Chapter Two which I loved these movies and even

though I hate clowns they scare the bejesus out of me I like these

movies weird huh. After the movies were done the girls, Lucas and the

twins all excused themselves and saying good night to us as they

headed to bed. I wasn't quite tired yet so I asked Jace if we could go for

a walk.

"Honey can we go for a walk before we go to bed?" I ask him giving

him the best puppy dog eyes I could muster knowing he could never

say no to me when I did this.

"Fine let's go but we aren't going to far from the house okay." he says

sternly

"Okaii sounds good to me" I say back making him smile. We head out

and walk around talking and enjoying the nice night until I start to

yawn.

"Okay baby time to head back and get you to bed." Jace says knowing

I'm tired because I slowed my pace down.

"But I'm not tired yet" I try to protest around a yawn making him laugh

at me. All of a sudden I feel Jace place his one hand behind my back

while the other one goes under my legs lifting me up bridal style as he

carries me back to the house and puts me to bed. We get into our

room and he finally sets me down and I go and change into some

comfy pajamas while Jace strips to his boxers and climbs into bed I

climb in next to him resting my head on his bare chest as I start to run

my hand up and down is abs and pecks and soon I'm drifting off to

sleep as I listen to the beating of his heart. I wake up from my sleep

because I have to pee and I get up carefully as not to wake Jace up

seeing he was still passed out next to me lying on his back with the

blanket bunched up at his waist. I go to the bathroom and do my

business and wash my hands and when I get back Jace still hasn't

moved and just seeing like that started to make me very horny which

happens a lot which is probably because of the pregnancy hormones.

I crawl back into my bed and prop myself up over Jace as I slowly lower

my hips to his so I was straddling him trying to not wake him quite yet.

I lower myself carefully as I kiss down his jawline and then down his

neck until I get to my mark I kiss the sensitive spot making him moan in

his sleep. I continue to kiss, lick, and nibble on the spot when his eyes

finally open as he grabs my waist. He grabs my chin making me look at

him as he's breathing a little heavy as he crashes his lips against mine

flipping us over in the process so he was not on top of me. He licks my

bottom lip asking for entrance I open my mouth and we intertwine our

tongues his taking the dominant spot and me letting him as we kiss

and grind against each other for what seems like eternity.
