Chapter 21

Jace's POV

"Now all we have to do is tell the pack if they haven't figured it out yet

since I can already smell you but I do have an enhanced sense of smell,

I'm sure some of the other pack members can smell it on you too

though. Now that we know what we are having we can start to

decorate the nursery right away.” I look to my mate excitedly and she

just smiles back at me as we hold hands and head back to the pack

house. Once we got back to the house I called everyone outside to the

stage in the back yard where entire pack meetings are held, when

everyone arrived I clear my throat getting everyone's attention before I

speak to them.

"Now I'm sure you are wondering why I called this pack meeting. Well I

know that some if not a lot of you have probably guessed that Skylar is

in fact pregnant with my child and we will be having a baby girl. I

expect you all to embrace and protect her as if she was your own child.

Now that is all thank you this meeting is adjourned.” I sat to them all as

I hear everyone saying congratulations and how happy they were for us

and how they can't wait to meet her and how we are going to be

excellent parents. Skylar and I head inside after everyone else went their

separate ways and I made dinner for my mate which consisted of salad,

rice, and chicken breast cooked in cream of chicken soup and topped

with shredded cheese and some steamed veggies, and for dessert I

took Sky out for some ice cream and we talked about everything we

were going to do to get ready for our little girl.

It's been about a week since we had told the pack about our little

bundle of joy. I wake up before Skylar like usual since she needs all the

extra sleep sine our little pup likes to zap all of her energy all day long. I

was headed out to get some breakfast for my mate from her favourite

place and when I returned with the food I could smell a rogues stench

then I noticed the note on the front door as I walk up to it I gently rip it

off of the door. As soon as I take the note off of the door I get

bombarded by my patrols saying that they have all spotted rogues

around our borders watching us but not attacking through the mind

link.

“Everyone calm down and deal with them all like usual and always stay

on guard. I will be staying close to the pack house to protect Skylar" I

tell them through the link and I get a bunch of "Yes Alpha’ in response

to what I just told them. I head back into the pack house and put the

food I bought on a tray and bring it to my room and place it on our

bed for Skylar to have once she was out of the shower. I leave my room

and head down the hall to my office so I don't disturb her while she

eats. Once I sit in my chair I finally open and read the note that was

pinned to my door as it reads.

“My Dearest Skylar

I am sad to hear that you have fully mated with that so called mate of

yours, but I am glad that you have finally come into your full powers.

Also a little birdie has told me that you are pregnant with that mutts

offspring, but don't worry my love you won't have to worry about that

abomination or that false mate of yours for very much longer as I will

be coming for you soon. I have a plan to make you mine and I have

already set it in motion, you will be mine and there is no running from

it, I will make sure of it. If you try to fight back I will kill every single

person who comes between me and what is rightfully mine. The rogue

attacks are just the beginning just so you know. I will be in contact soon

until then my lovely Skylar.

After reading what that stupid bastard wrote to the love of my life, the

mother of my child. He will never have her and he will never come near

or do anything to my daughter, I will make damn sure of that as I

crumple the paper in my hand. I don't tear it to shreds like I would like

to because I know Skylar will want to read it even though she is

pregnant and I don't want to cause her any unnecessary stress but she

has a right to know that this V person has reached out again. After I

calm myself down as much as I can I mind link my beta Lucas, my

gamma Jasper, and my delta Alex.

"Lucas, Jasper, and Alex I need all three of you to come to my office

right away" I tell them

"Yes Alpha" They all say in unison through the link.

Once everyone was in the room I show them the note I found on the

front door and after they passed it to each other after reading it I could

tell that they were all livid.

"Who is this fucking asshole anyways?" Alex asks as the other 2 just nod

their heads in agreement trying to keep their wolves under control.

"I don't fucking know. Lucas I want you to get word out and try to find

out who this fucking bastard is and why he's doing this now" I

ask/demand him he just nods and leaves the room to start finding out

any and all information he can find out. I then look over to the twins

and see they are truly just as mad as I am.

"From now on when I am not with Skylar I want one or both of you with

her at all times. Also I would like one of you to contact our witch and

get her here as soon as possible” I ask/tell them they nod and leave the

room to do what I had asked of them. Once that is all taken care of I

grab the note and put it in my pocket before I go back to my bedroom

to check on Skylar. When I walk into my room I see Sky sitting on the

bed rubbing her belly while she finishes her food while watching TV. I

walk over to her and sit beside her on the bed and kiss her temple.

"Hello gorgeous how are my girls doing?" I ask her making her smile

"Hi my sexy beast, I am doing fine and your little girl won't stop moving

around. So what's on the agenda for today?" She asks me

"Well there is one thing I have to show you but other then that I'm all

yours today and we can go and do whatever you like my love.” I tell her

which gets her excited to spend the day with me.

"Okaii so give me the bad news first. Then we are going to pick out a

colour for our baby girls room and we are going to have some lunch

while making a list of things we are going to need to get for her, and

we also have to figure out a name for her but we can do that another

day" She says smiling at me looking very excited and hopeful that it

made me feel bad about having to ruin her good mood with that

stupid note.

"Alright that sounds perfect to me. I have one condition though, I

would like to go and do everything else first and have a nice day out

with you doing baby things and when we get back we will discuss the

news I have to tell you later okay" I tell her and she just smiles and nods

her head agreeing. We head out the door excited to be spending time

together and starting on getting things ready for our baby girl. I grab

Skylar by the hand and we head out for what seems like the last day of

normalcy before all hell breaks loose around us.
