Chapter 14

Jace's POV

After showering I get dressed in some black jeans, a grey long sleeve

shirt and some dressy black high tops. Once I was dressed I go over to

the bed and wake up Skylar by gently kissing her lips and stroking her

cheek with my hand.

“Why hello darling how was shopping with the girls and your nap?” I

ask her still stroking her cheek.

“Hi baby, shopping was exhausting and my nap was okaii it would have

been better with you next to me. Oh and I loved the note you left for

me.” She smiles at me before getting up and kissing me passionately.

“Now before we get too carried away we are going out for dinner. The

twins treat as they lost a race against me and now they are paying for

the six of us to go to dinner.” I tell her making her smile even more.

“Alright just let me get changes real quick and I'll meet you guys

downstairs.” She says before running into the closet to change. While

Skylar changes I go downstairs to see the twins, Lucy and Amber all

standing there looking kinda awkward and scared. Confused I hurry

down the last of the stairs.

“What's wrong with all of you why do you look so frightened?” I ask

them. After a few more minutes of no one saying anything Jasper finally

sighs and hands me a piece of paper with some writing on it, after I

take it and read it I start seeing red and jam the piece of paper in my

pocket.

“No one tells Skylar anything I will tell her later when we are alone. So

let's calm down and put on happy smiling faces and go and enjoy a

wonderful dinner.” I say to them as I calm myself down and plaster a

happy looking smile on my face and they all do the same thing.

Skylar's POV

Jace got back from running with the twins and when he told me that we

were all going out for dinner and the twins had to pay I was so happy

to have a night out with all of us. Ever since we got here we've been

doing nothing but training so the night out was a nice change of pace.

“Okaii let me change and I'll meet you guys downstairs in a few

minutes.” I told Jace after giving him a little peck on the lips before he

headed down to meet up with the others. I go into my closet and throw

on a nice blue sundress with white daisies on it and some white wedge

shoes, once dressed I run my hands through my hair and head down to

meet up with the rest of the gang. When I came down the stairs I could

feel the tension in the air and I could tell something was bothering Jace

as I could feel what he was feeling through the mate bond but I

decided to let it be for now and ask him about it later.

We all got into 2 vehicles and drive for about 30 minutes before pulling

up to a lovely little diner. We go in and get seated by a woman in her

late thirties I presume and we all order the same thing and she looked

at us like we were crazy and like we couldn't possibly eat that much

food especially us girls. As we ate we joked and laughed, the twins

argued about things here and there and Lucy and Amber flirted with

the twins who didn’t even notice. I looked over at Jace's profile and

loved the way he looked when he laughed and I loved moment like

these when we are all together and relaxing and just having fun and

not worrying about everything going on around us.

Jace's POV

All throughout dinner and the ride home I couldn't help but worry

about the note that the twins and the girls found about Sky. I know I

have to tell her and I know she knows that there's something bugging

me and I know as soon as we are at home and alone she's going to ask

me what's wrong, but for now I'm going to enjoy being in her company

and just relax and have fun with my friends and pack mates. I was

watching Alex and Skylar having an arm wrestling competition and

Skylar wasn't even breaking a sweat and Alex was trying with all his

might to make her arm move until I heard a loud thud and a whine

escape Alex's lips. I'm guessing Skylar got bored and just slammed

Alex's arm down on the table hard to hurt him but not hard enough to

break anything, I laughed at them and my gorgeous mate looked at me

lovingly and happily as she beat Alex and Jasper in arm wrestling but I

could see she was getting tired as she rested her head on my shoulder

just watching the twins and the girls chatter away.

Once we finished our dinner and fun and the twins groan as they pay

the bill and tip the waitress generously we get in the cars and race

home. Of course me and Sky won and everyone else said we cheated

which made us laugh. We all said goodnight and headed to our rooms

and as soon as me and Sky got in our room and she locked the door

behind us so no one could interrupt us.

“Okaii baby I know something's been on your mind all night so come

on and tell me what's wrong” She says to me sitting beside me on the

bed.

“Huhh alright well while you were getting dressed the twins and the

girls found a note on the front door and it had to do with you.” I tell her

slowly

“Okaii so what did the note say” She asks. I reach into my pocket and

hand her the piece of paper and watch her face as she reads it herself.

“Hello Night Shade members,

You don't know me but I know all about you, especially all about Skylar

Rose and how she is a Hell Hound. I know how special those wolves are

and I will claim her as mine one way or another. Now I will take her by

force and I will kill everyone and anyone who opposes me in my

mission to acquire Skylar. Alpha Jace if you mark and mate with her I

will personally torture you and make sure that you have a long slow

death while I make my precious Skylar watch.

Skylar my dear I will have you and your bloodline, you will bear my

pups and they will be the strongest and fiercest creatures to ever walk

this earth. You will be mine mark my words. You will be hearing from

me again soon so take care of my little angel for me thanks. Till the day

I have you in my arms my sweet.

I watched as she read the note that this V person left and I could see

her eyes go bright red and then go dull red as I could see and feel how

scared she was. I grabbed her and pulled her close stroking her hair

telling her I will protect her and that no one will get her and that I will

kill this V person, he doesn't know who he is threatening. After a while

of sitting there she gets up and heads to the bathroom and brushes her

teeth and then brushes her hair and then I see her go into the closet

and come out in a very sexy black and red babydoll lingerie nightgown

with the matching thong as I watched her walk over to the bed my eyes

went black with lust and I let out a growl of approval making her smile

from ear to ear like the cheshire cat.
