It's great what some people can do to you

What they can provide for you

Meeting new people

Talking to them

Different races, genders, backrounds

It's amazing

It's a whole new thing for me

I never realized how happy I could be

Even in the face of exams, classwork, heavy learning

Things that cause me to panic, fret

Yet instead I am laughing

With the boys.

With the girls.

Instead I'm laughing at the face of the unknown

Because with these new people I've discovered someone new

I've discovered someone I forgot I could be

This made some changes

It's doing what I hoped it would

It's changing me
