Chapter 2634: A Glimmer of Life Amidst the Destruction (2)

Yun Lintian's eyes narrowed as he assessed the situation. He could sense that most of the villagers were mortals, with no cultivation base to protect themselves. They were completely vulnerable to the Shadow Demons' attacks.
With a surge of divine energy, Yun Lintian propelled himself towards the village, his figure a golden blur as he streaked across the sky. His Heaven Piercing Sword drawn and gleaming in the dim light.
The Shadow Demons turned their attention to Yun Lintian, their eyes burning with malevolent intent. They lunged at him, their claws outstretched, their fangs bared.
Yun Lintian met their charge with a fearsome battle cry, his sword flashing through the air, leaving a trail of golden light in its wake.
Rip-
The Shadow Demons were no match for Yun Lintian's overwhelming power. He cut through their ranks like a whirlwind, his sword a blur of motion, his every strike carrying the force of a thousand thunderbolts.
"This..."
"Who is that?"
The villagers watched in awe and disbelief as Yun Lintian single-handedly repelled the Shadow Demons' attack. They had never seen such power, such skill, such fearlessness.
"Be careful, young man. You should leave as soon as possible," an old man couldn't help but shout.
Yun Lintian turned to look at him. "Don't worry," he said, his voice calm and reassuring.
The villagers' eyes widened in surprise. They had never heard such a kind and gentle voice from a cultivator before. After all, cultivators were usually haughty when they faced mortals like them.
Yun Lintian turned his attention back to the Shadow Demons. A cold glint flashed across his eyes.
He charged towards the Shadow Demons, his sword a whirlwind of destruction. The Shadow Demons fought back fiercely, but they were no match for Yun Lintian's overwhelming power. One by one, the Shadow Demons fell, their bodies dissolving into shadows that dissipated into nothingness.
Yun Lintian, sensing that the threat had been neutralized, turned his attention to the barrier surrounding the village. He could sense that the barrier was weakening, its energy reserves nearly depleted.@@novelbin@@
Yun Lintian also noticed the source of the barrier at the top of the mountain behind the village.
At this moment, a middle-aged man in simple clothing appeared before him with a solemn expression. He stood behind the barrier and greeted him.
"Greetings, young hero. I am Tie Cheng, the head of Iron Village. May I know your origin?" Yun Lintian cupped his fists and replied politely, "Greetings, Village Head Tie. I am Yun Lintian. I was just passing by and was surprised to see your village has managed to persist this far."
He waved his hand, and a mountain of rice bags and other supplies appeared at the village square, stunning everyone.
"This..." Tie Cheng didn't know what to say at the moment.
"You can take it," Tie Muqiu said calmly and looked at Yun Lintian. "Follow me."
Yun Lintian nodded and looked at Tie Cheng. "There's no need to be polite, Village Head Tie.
You can tell me if you need anything."
"Many thanks, Master Yun." Tie Cheng bowed with gratitude.
Yun Lintian didn't say anything further and followed Tie Muqiu to the mountain.
Yun Lintian followed Tie Muqiu, his curiosity growing with each step. The woman moved with a quiet grace, her footsteps barely disturbing the fallen leaves that carpeted the forest
floor.
He glanced at her occasionally, trying to discern something from her expression, but her face remained an impassive mask, revealing nothing of her thoughts or intentions.
They reached the summit of the mountain, where a solitary forge stood amidst a grove of ancient trees. Its flames flickered and danced, casting dancing shadows on the surrounding trees, and its bellows wheezed with a timeless rhythm, a testament to countless years of
tireless work.
Beside the forge, a small shrine nestled amongst the trees, its stone surface etched with the image of a man wielding a hammer, his expression one of fierce determination.
Yun Lintian's eyes were drawn to the shrine, a sense of familiarity washing over him. He had
seen this image before.
"Who is that?" Yun Lintian asked, his voice carrying a hint of respect.
Tie Muqiu followed his gaze, her eyes softening slightly as she looked at the shrine.
"My father," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "Tie Mutian."
"What?"
