Erlang Shen's expression changed slightly when he heard this.

"No," Yu Huang said with difficulty as he struggled to get to his feet. "Take my life instead. I was the one who gave the order."@@novelbin@@

"No, you can't, Your Majesty," Erlang Shen quickly interrupted. He turned to look at Yun Lintian and asked, "Can you tell me your conditions?"

Erlang Shen believed that Yun Lintian wasn't a bloodthirsty person from the information he had gathered over the years. He should have no intention of wiping out the entire Heavenly Court. There must be something else.

Yun Lintian smiled faintly. "It's nothing much. I just want the Heavenly Court."

The hall fell silent once more as everyone stared at Yun Lintian in disbelief. They had thought he would demand a hefty price, but they didn't expect him to ask for the entire Heavenly Court.

"This..." Erlang Shen didn't know what to say.

"Impossible!" Yu Huang shouted. "The Heavenly Court belongs to the Nine Heavens Realm. It's not something you can simply take!"

Yun Lintian glanced at Yu Huang indifferently. "Do you think you are in a position to bargain with me? I can simply wipe everyone out and take over the Heavenly Court by force. Do you want to see that happen?"

Yu Huang's face turned pale. He knew Yun Lintian was not bluffing. He had the power to do as The pleased, and no one could stop him.

He looked at Erlang Shen, his eyes pleading for help. But Erlang Shen could only shake his head helplessly. He knew that there was nothing he could do.

Yu Huang gritted his teeth, his mind in turmoil. He had ruled the Heavenly Court for countless years, and the thought of giving it up was unbearable. But he also knew that he had no choice. Yun Lintian was too powerful, and if he resisted, he would only bring destruction upon himself and his people.

After a long silence, Yu Huang finally spoke, his voice filled with resignation.

"Very well," he said, "I agree to your condition. The Heavenly Court is yours."

Yun Lintian nodded in satisfaction. "Wise choice."

They turned and walked away, leaving Yu Huang alone in his shame.

Yun Lintian and Erlang Shen arrived at Ren Yuan's secret chamber. The chamber was located deep within the Heavenly Court, hidden behind layers of protective formations and guarded by elite Heavenly Guards.

Erlang Shen raised his hand, and the door to the chamber swung open, revealing a spacious room filled with ancient artifacts and scrolls.

Yun Lintian's eyes scanned the room, taking in the intricate details of the artifacts and the mysterious symbols on the scrolls. He could sense a faint aura of Ren Yuan lingering in the air, a testament to his recent presence.

"It seems he has indeed left a long time ago," Yun Lintian said.

Erlang Shen nodded. "I suspected as much. Ren Yuan has always been elusive. He rarely shows himself in public and prefers to stay in seclusion."

Yun Lintian frowned slightly. "It's quite strange that he hasn't taken control of the entire Nine Heavens Realm yet. With his strength and the support of the Heavenly Court, he could easily overthrow the other factions and establish himself as the supreme ruler."

Erlang Shen shook his head. "I don't know what Ren Yuan is planning. He has always been a mystery to me. Perhaps he is waiting for the right moment to strike."

Yun Lintian nodded slowly and glanced around the room one last time before turning to leave. However, his eyes suddenly caught sight of a hidden passage behind a bookshelf.

"What is this?" Yun Lintian asked curiously.

Erlang Shen followed Yun Lintian's gaze and was slightly surprised. "I have never noticed this before..."

He walked over and examined the bookshelf closely. With a gentle push, the bookshelf slid open, revealing a dark and narrow passage.

"A secret passage?" Erlang Shen said, his voice filled with curiosity. "I wonder where it

leads."

Yun Lintian's eyes lit up with interest. "Let's find out."
