âHowâs Lillith?â Mykel entered the suit with Lyneth while the others were enjoying the movie night.
âSheâs in her bedroom,â Agnez answered.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âStill doesnât want to sleep?â Mykel asked as he removed his blazer and Lyneth grabbed it from his hand.
âSheâs sleeping right now, she has been feeling better because Agnez took care of her for the past three days,â Jeanne said as she looked at Agnez.
âThatâs good to hear,â Lyneth said as she sat down on the sofa and kept holding Mykelâs blazer. âSo, what are you guys watching? Is it a horror movie?â she asked and immediately got jumped scared by the scene in the movie.
Mykel sat down and leaned his back on his chair.
âYou saw it? The thing she saw,â Mykel asked Hera who sat on the other side of the long table.
âI did, but you donât have to worry about it. My recipient is fine and she was given a warning by her to not meddle in,â Hera answered while she was holding a golden grail with wine in it. âAlthough, it was really an interesting fate you got there,â she said with a smile on her face.
âYouâre not worried that it would come true?â Mykel asked.
âIâm not worried even though the thread of fate canât be changed. You must be so confused with what I just said. Thatâs why Iâm calling you here and explaining it to you,â Hera answered, and then she looked at the door next to them. âYou all can come in,â she said.
The huge door opened and Mykel saw Aphrodite, Hedone, and a guy held a harp with curly bright yellow hair that walked behind them. God Apollo, one of the Olympian Gods, Mykel was a bit surprised to see him there since Apollo was Zeusâs son.
âYou donât have to worry, Apollo is the same as me, we shared the same hatred for Zeus,â Hera said as she looked at Mykel. âLet me call Loki here as well,â she continued and then snapped her fingers.
Loki appeared behind Mykel and put his hands on Mykelâs shoulders. âOh! What a fancy dining hall you have here, everything is covered with nature!â His womanly voice immediately caught Mykel off guard.
âPlease have a seat, all of you,â Hera said and pointed at a dozen of chairs on both sides of the table.
âCan I also invite my daughter? I want her to be a part of this as well,â Loki asked with a smile on his face.
Hera nodded her head with understanding then Loki clapped his hands. A white cold mist appeared behind Loki and a woman with half of her face covered with a veil came out from the mist.
A grey and black hair woman looked at Mykel with a beautiful half face and the other half that was covered with a veil was skinless and it was black with the all-white pale left eye. She wore a long black fur coat and a black tiara on top of her head.
âCan I touch your face?â Hedone asked as she looked at Hel who kept staring at Mykel.
âIf you want to get a frostbite, be my guest,â A deep womanâs voice came out of Helâs mouth.
âIs that why it got preserved like that?â Hedone asked and Loki was chuckling when he heard that.
Hel was staring at Hedone and she only smiled at her.
âPlease have a seat, we donât have much time since everyone is busy,â Hera said as she looked at the three of them.
Everyone sat down and Mykel looked at each one of them, he was imagining that he would be sitting like that again but with more Gods and Goddesses in front of him. Sooner or later, he would be able to bring more Gods and Goddesses to his side as long as he followed with the plan.
âLetâs go back to the topic, I said that the thread of fate canât be changed, but that doesnât worry me at all. Apollo will explain it to you in the simplest way,â Hera said as she looked at Apollo.
âDo you know about three Godesses that are assigned to create a fate for every living being?â Apollo asked and looked at Mykel.
âMoirai in Greek mythology and Norns in Norse mythology?â Mykel replied as he raised his eyebrows.
âYes, and do you know how they work on a personâs fate?â Apollo asked as he strummed the strings.
âI do, one that starts life, one that creates the ups and downs of the personâs life, and the last one decides when a person dies,â Mykel answered as he looked at Loki and Apollo. Both of them nodded and he was right about it. âSo? What about it?â he asked.
âThen you should know whoâs the Moirai mother, right? Itâs Goddess Nyx and sheâs the one who can intervene with the thread of fate. You have seen what happened to the Helmga world, and you already know what she did to that world,â Apollo answered as he put his hand on the strings. âIf you didnât intervene, Goddess Nyx might create the same fate to your world or bring godsend to your world,â he continued.
Mykel already knew the fate of the story since he was the one who made it.
âEven Zeus and Odin canât change fate and that means these Goddesses who hold the thread and Nyx are the only ones who can decide a personâs fate,â Apollo said. âMykel Alester, your existence has destroyed all the possibilities fates of your own world,â he answered.
Mykel squinted his eyes and looked at Apollo with confusion. âWhatâs that mean?â
âGoddess Hera paid a visit to the Moirai and she saw the golden thread that belongs to Asmond Redfeld. Right now, as we speak, the Moirai including Nyx donât dare to touch his thread because of the deal we the Constellations made with you,â Apollo answered.
âIs that the same with the Norns, Loki?â Mykel asked as he looked at Loki.
âYes, Asmond Redfeldâs red thread is untouched and the Norns have nothing to do with it anymore because of the deal,â Loki answered as he crossed his legs and rested his head on his hand.
Mykel furrowed his eyebrows and looked at them. âIf his thread of fate is flat, then he shouldnât be experiencing all the ups and downs that happened to him. If they didnât control his thread of fate, then who did?â he asked. âWait, donât tell me she did?â he continued as he looked at Hera and Loki.
âYes, she did because sheâs not part of the deal since you asked her as our witness. She could control Asmondâs fate of thread, and thatâs why Edith Levine saw that vision the moment you left the Hall of Triumph,â Hera answered.
âI see, but doesnât that mean she can also control of my fate?â Mykel asked as he looked at them.
Loki, Apollo, and Hera stared at Mykel for quite a while. âThis is what makes it interesting,â Hera said. âYou donât have a thread of fate and we just discovered it when I went and paid a visit to the Moirai,â she answered.
âThe Norns donât have your thread of fate as well,â Loki answered as he shook his head.
âShe canât control your fate because thereâs no thread to play with in the beginning, and that vision you saw is just an illusion that she created. She knew that you donât have a thread of fate, and she knew that your existence isnât only dangerous to us but to her as well,â Hera said as she looked at Mykel.
âNot only that,â Loki said as he put his legs on the table. âYou can also play with the thread of fate, donât you, Mykel Alester?â he asked with a smile on his face.
All of them were staring at Mykel, he started to smile and chuckle but he didnât say anything.
âYou have been playing with Asmondâs fate to make him suffer and sheâs going to be the one who gives the ups in Asmondâs life. Isnât that what she said? Keeping the balance?â Loki said as he raised his eyebrows repeatedly.
âSlowly but surely youâre going to stand above us all and you will be on an equal sitting with her,â Hera said as she stood up. âIâm starting to understand what your actual goal is, Mykel Alester,â she said as she slowly walked toward Mykel.
Mykel watched Hera walk toward him and then she stood behind his chair. âIf itâs exactly what Iâm thinking, donât you think you will need a lot more support from the Gods and Goddesses to fight her?â she asked as she whispered into his ear.
âYes, but the goal is still far and I need to play carefully,â Mykel answered as he looked at Aphrodite and Hedone walked toward him. âBut why are you suddenly wanting to help me?â he asked.
Loki disappeared and reappeared in front of Mykel and sat on top of the table. âIsnât it obvious? If thereâs a being that could stand equal with her, wouldnât it be the right thing to do to serve that being and gain favor from him?â he said with his chin rested on his fist and a big smile on his face.
Aphrodite and Hedone sat on his lap. âIf you can play with the thread of fate, that also means you can decide our fate as well, including her, right?â Aphrodite asked as she rubbed Mykelâs cheek.
âDoes that mean all of you will serve me from now on?â Mykel asked as he looked at Apollo and Hel.
âThatâs why we are all here in this room,â Hera answered as she wrapped her arms around Mykelâs neck from behind.
âIs the movie isnât that interesting to you, Mykel?â Lyneth asked while she was hiding behind Mykelâs blazer.
âOh, no, Iâm just zoning out for a moment,â Mykel answered as he watched the boring movie.
