âImpossible! How can you imitate my power?!â Zherthlsh said as she glared at Mykel with disbelief.
Mykel didnât even say a single word and immediately punched Zherthlshâs guts and he threw her onto the tower which was a mile away from them. He didnât stop there and immediately jumped and it felt like he was flying since he immediately reached the tower.
The tower was indestructible but because of both of them, the tower felt like it was about to crumble from their brute strength. Those Awakeners that were near the tower got blown and launched away from the tower. They had no idea what was happening because the ground was shaking like crazy and splashed like water.
The battle between Mykel and Zherthlsh was being watched by all the Constellations and they were all cheering for him. He didnât care but it was good enough to see that they were cheering for him since it was a good opportunity to gain their favor.
Mykel knew that it was already over for her and he had at least five more minutes before his [Puissant] skill wore off. He didnât show any mercy to Zherthlsh and there was nothing she could do because Mykel just tore her wings and it was the only way she could escape.
The time moved really slowly when he moved that fast and a minute felt like five minutes for him. One by one, Mykel tore Zherthlshâs limb off and he still had a minute left so he used it to tear off her last limb.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Mykel ran out of his [Puissant] skill and he was still far ahead of Zherthlshâs power even without it. Zherthlsh on the other hand could only lay down on the ground with no limbs, she wasnât screaming in pain, but she was screaming in annoyance.
âItâs over, Zherthlsh,â Mykel said as he stared down at Zherthlsh with wounds and his own blood all over his body.
Zherthlsh glared at Mykel who put on a shirt and pants he found on the ground. âWho are you, how can this be,â she asked with blood coming out of her mouth.
Mykel walked back and sat down next to Zherthlsh which made her so confused. He looked at the dark clouds and the heavy rain that poured on his face.
âGoddess Mara, can I have a private moment with her without these Gods and Goddessesâ interference?â Mykel asked as he stared at the sky.
Zherthlshâs eyes were wide open as she kept glaring at Mykel which turned into fear. Different dark clouds were formed and made a void so the Constellations couldnât see or hear anything.
âI told you, I know her but you donât believe me,â Mykel said as he sighed.
âI see, does that mean I wonât be able to live anymore?â Zherthlsh said as she stared at the void that seemed to be ready to devour her.
âNo, why would I do that?â Mykel answered as he looked at Zherthlsh.
âThen what do you want from me?â Zherthlsh asked as she furrowed her eyebrows with confusion.
Mykel looked at all the wounds on her that started to heal themselves. âIâm protecting you from any harm while waiting for you to fully recover your body,â
âWhy?â Zherthlsh asked.
âBecause I donât want you to die,â Mykel said as he put his hand on her shoulder. âYour father doesnât love you at all it seems,â he said as he looked at the void in the sky.
Zherthlsh stared at the void and nothing happened up there, everything looked quiet and peaceful as if Azazel didnât even try to save his daughter. She looked at Mykel and his hand on her shoulder, she was so confused and didnât know what to say about the situation.
âCan you promise me something, Zherthlsh?â Mykel asked while he kept staring at the void.
âPromise you?â Zherthlsh asked as she started to regenerate her arms and legs.
âPromise me that you wonât come out here anymore,â Mykel answered. âIf youâre here for the ring, I will give it back to you,â he continued as he looked at Zherthlsh.
Mykel looked at the [Fire Ring] and then he removed it from his finger. He put the ring on her chest and looked at it for one last time.
âWhy? What are you trying to do? What with this nonsense?! Answer me!â Zherthlsh asked as she yelled at Mykel.
Mykel smirked and he suddenly put his hand on Zherthlshâs forehead that it startled her. His cold hand felt weird on her forehead, it wasnât because of the hand. It was because nobody had ever put their hand on Zherthlshâs head even Azazel himself never put his hand on her head.
It was a new sensation that she never experienced, it made her calm and anxious at the same time. The longer Mykel put her hand on her shoulder, the calmer she became and the silence was all Mykel needed.
âThe answer for that is obvious,â Mykel paused as he stared Zherthlsh in the eye. âI have proven myself that Iâm strong than you, and I donât need that ring. Even if I want it back, I could just take it away from you again,â he continued as he smiled at her.
The moment Zherthlsh regained all her limbs, she grabbed the ring on her chest. She immediately spread her wings to stand up then choked Mykelâs neck as she slammed him to the ground.
âYou foolish human,â Zherthlsh said as she tightened her grip.
âAre you trying to prove that youâre still better than me? Are you really satisfied with killing me like this?â Mykel said as he laid down and didnât even try to resist.
âGet up, get up!â Zherthlsh screamed on Mykelâs face.
Mykel just smiled as he shook his head.
Zherthlsh was so furious but she didnât want to kill Mykel because a demon really has a high pride in themselves.
âLetâs make a deal then,â Mykel said as he held Zherthlshâs hand.
âA deal? Donât mess with me!â Zherthlsh replied.
âI will fight you again but not now,â Mykel said and that was enough to attract Zherthlshâs attention. âBut, whatâs the chance for me to be able to reach the hundredth floor? Iâm not talking about if I can clear it or not, but Iâm talking about the danger that I will face. I might be dead before I can reach your palace, who knows,â he explained.
âNobody will touch you if I command them!â Zherthlsh said as she glared down at Archie.
âYou donât have the power for that. Isnât Lucifer the one who possesses the body of that person who has the Sacrificial Dagger? What makes you think will happen to me if someone like you appears?â Mykel asked as he had been playing a mind game with Zherthlsh.
âI will get that dagger from you,â Zherthlsh said as she removed her hands from Mykel and immediately flew away in a blink of an eye.
Mykel couldnât help but chuckle when she did what exactly he wanted her to do. He looked up at the sky and the void was still there, he smiled as he raised his eyebrows. âYouâre watching, arenât you? Donât worry, Iâm not planning on disturbing the balance as we agreed on,â
Zherthlsh suddenly landed in front of him and she not only brought the dagger but also the head of the person. She threw the head on the ground and showed the dagger to Mykel that was in her hand.
âI have brought the dagger, now there will be no demon that will be summoned to your world,â Zherthlsh said as she hid the dagger.
âNow what are you going to do? Are you going to go back to your world on the hundredth floor?â Mykel asked as he looked at her flapping her wings.
âYes, and I will be waiting,â Zherthlsh answered.
âWhat if I donât want to? What are you going to do about it since youâre already back to your world and the dagger is with you so no humans can summon a demon anymore,â Mykel said as he raised his eyebrow.
âAre you playing with me!â Zherthlsh choked on Mykel again and this time she lifted him up.
âWhat if you stay here in my world? Arenât you bored living with the demons that you have seen their face for a very long time?â Mykel asked as he tried to loosen Zherthlshâs grip.
âStaying in your world? Why would I want to live in this disgusting world?â Zherthlsh asked back as she pulled her hand so she could see Mykelâs face from up close.
âBecause Iâm in it and we can fight whenever you want as long as Iâm in the mood for that,â Mykel answered with a smile on his face.
âHow can I keep your words, Mykel Alester?â Zherthlsh asked.
âI swear with Goddess Mara as my witness that I will not lie about it and I want you to promise me that you wonât hurt my people, ever,â Mykel replied as he looked at the void.
Zherthlsh nodded. âI promise that I will not hurt your people,â
A massive pressure immediately struck both Mykel and Zherthlsh, it was the same feeling that he had when he was summoned to Maraâs world.
âDo you believe me, now?â Mykel asked as he coughed.
Zherthlsh nodded in agreement.
âNow leave and live freely in my world,â Mykel said as he tried to stand up.
Zherthlsh spread her wings and disappeared.
âItâs not over, itâs just the beginning,â Mykel said as she stared at the void.
