Jeanne turned her head to her right and saw Mykel smiling and raising his eyebrows. She was happy that he visited her, but not the Awakeners around her. They all immediately walked away and didnât dare to lift their heads because they thought Mykel was jealous or furious at them.
Mykel watched them scatter as they took their equipment off the benches and tables. The place he was at right now was the place that was exclusively for Awakeners from the Guild Association. It was basically a training ground, and those people who could use the equipment were the elite among the rest.
Mykel planned to bring them with Jeanne to the Asmodeus Tower since they would be useful.
âI gave you a week for vacation, but here you are, training. You think that I wouldnât know?â Mykel asked as he walked toward Jeanne and sat next to her with a bottle of vodka in his left hand and a glass in between his index and middle fingers.
âIâm just training them, and I just got here two hours ago,â Jeanne answered as she rested her head on her arms on the table and stared Mykel in the eyes.
Mykel poured a vodka as he looked at Jeanne who had been staring and smiling at him. âWhy are you looking at me like that?â Mykel asked, and then took a shot. âDid you miss me already?â Mykel asked as he stroked Jeanneâs hair.
âAm I not allowed to?â Jeanne asked with her eyebrows raised.
Mykel licked his lips, and then looked at Jeanne. âHave you eaten lunch?â Mykel asked.
Jeanne shook her head as she smiled.
âThen letâs go to the same restaurant we went to when we met. Itâs on me, as always,â Mykel said as he stood up and fixed his blazer.
Jeanne jolted from her seat and followed Mykel happily.
They both walked all the way to the restaurant because he knew that Jeanne wanted to spend time with him. Mykel told her about what happened to Agnez and Gunnar. She was surprised until he told her the reason behind it.
âAsmodeus Tower, thatâs the tower where all the demons could use magic, right? That should be fine, but just the four of us?â Jeanne asked as she took a sip of her cup of wine.
âYes, but you should bring those guys with you as well. Theyâre going to be helpful since they have been spending months leveling up and clearing the tenth floors,â Mykel answered as he cut the steak. âItâs time to use them,â Mykel continued as he ate the steak.
âOkay, thatâs fine by me,â Jeanne said as she nodded her head and was busy cutting the steak.
After spending hours in the restaurant talking about their future plans, they ended up in a hotel room where they could get more comfortable.
âIâm going to take a shower, I almost forgot that I was sweating on the training ground,â Jeanne said as she removed her white blouse as she stood in front of the bathroom.
Mykel smirked and walked up to her, and then slid his hand under her bra and removed it with his index finger and thumb. Jeanne was startled, but then she smiled as she pulled Mykelâs head toward her and started kissing him so passionately.
Mykel put his right hand on Jeanneâs breasts as his left hand slid down into her panties. He started kissing her neck from behind, and it made Jeanne moan.
âIâm sweaty, Mykel,â Jeanne said under her heavy breath with her eyes closed.
âDo you think I care? Youâre mine and I can do what I want,â Mykel replied as he gently wrapped his right arm around her body and pulled her closer to him. âDo you want to take a shower or do you want to go to bed now?â
âWhy not both?â Jeanne asked shyly.
âThen we can take a shower again afterward,â Mykel said as he brought Jeanne into the bathroom.
Two days had passed and the day had finally come. Agnez was still a bit tired and her body hadnât fully recovered from the venom and poison that ran in her veins. Luckily, after Mazikeen used the [Harmony] skill, the venom and poison died, but she was still in the process of detoxification.
Gunnar, Vincze, Sven, Agnez, and Lillith were waiting for Asmondâs team to arrive. Gunnar looked at Agnezâs waist and noticed something familiar was hanging down.
âIsnât that bossâs sword?â Gunnar asked as he pointed at the golden sword handle with golden chains sealing the sword from being unsheathed.
âHe lend it to me, he said that itâs for protection,â Agnez answered as she looked down at the sword from behind her black glasses. âFor all of us,â Agnez continued as she stared at Gunnar and the others from the corner of her eyes.
âRight,â Gunnar replied as he rubbed his right wrist and remembered he had lost his right arm.
Asmond came with his team on a big bus, they all walked toward the tower where Agnez stood in the middle with her arms crossed. She stared at him for quite a while, and then she threw something at Asmond. He was surprised when it was a key to the eleventh floor, and then he looked at Agnez furrowed her eyebrows.
âIâm not feeling well, you will take the lead of all of us and we will follow your order. This run is yours and we will do what you said,â Agnez said as she nodded her head up.
âI see, I will do my best then, but I might need your opinions when we are inside,â Asmond said as stared at Agnez
âNo need, if you want us to kill all the demons we will immediately do that. If you want us to hide, we will hide. Thereâs no such thing as a bad decision, itâs how you take responsibility for your decision. Be confident, but not overconfident, and everything will be fine,â Agnez replied as she massaged the right side of her neck with her left hand.
Asmond was taken aback by Agnezâs words, he was surprised that she was actually nice even though she often times acted like a jerk. He realized how good she was as a leader by the way she gave him advice.
âLead the way,â Agnez said as she walked to the side so Asmond and his team could walk through.

Mykel and the others stood in front of the tower, and then he turned around to look at Jeanne and Rozan.
âAlright, Jeanne will take the lead of those guys since you already know their names and what theyâre capable of while you, Rozan, take the ladies with you if you need some intel. Edith and Nagy should be sufficient for that job,â Mykel said as he looked at them with a cigarette in his mouth.
Nagy looked at her katars and the gemstones in them, she was ready to kill demons. Edith on the other hand, she had a newly made short sword with a black gemstone. It was as powerful as Mykelâs throwing knives because she would need it.
âYou know what to do, so donât worry too much about whatâs going to come at you. The demons wonât stand a chance against your magic and anti magic skills,â Mykel said as he patted Rozanâs shoulder and watched Jeanne give a short briefing with the guys.
âIâm ready for this, I also put my own creation on this staff. Iâm confident with this because Jeanne and Nagy are here with me,â Rozan said as he looked at the rainbow gemstone on top of his staff.
âGood, now get in there,â Mykel said as he walked to the side.
All of them walked into the tower, and Jeanne looked back at him for one last time before she walked into the hallway and waved at him. Mykel just smiled at her as he smoked his cigarette, and then warped to his office after they had all gone into the tower.
âFinally, I got a lot of free time,â Mykel said as he sat down on his chair. âItâs time to create new skills and get something worth keeping,â Mykel continued and activated [Authority].
