"Guys, what else do you know about Josiah Wells?" I ask them as we eat breakfast on a Saturday morning. They look up at me with questioning looks on their face, "Why?" Rosa asks.
"Because apparently he's pretty known but I hadn't ever heard of him till that night." I tell them. Which wasn't entirely a lie, I wanted to know what was known about Josiah in the public.
"Well he's a very dangerous man, he's killed a lot of people." Rosa says. I shudder, I've kissed a killer. Mitchie nods, "I heard he even killed his own mother when he was younger." I gasp, "What? Really?"
She nods, "Thats what I heard."
Rosa scoffs, "I don't believe that, but I do know that he's stinking rich."
"How does he get all of his money?" I ask. "Drug trade, weapon trade, and prostitution probably."
"And he never gets caught?" Mitchie shakes her head, "I've heard he's got dirt everyone in the justice system, so everyone just ignores his crimes. And plus he's good at covering them up too. Once there was this man that had been missing for 12 years and they found a speck of his cremated ashes in a sand box."
Rosa laughs, "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard Mitch. What kind of sicko puts a cremated mans ashes in a sandbox?"
"Josiah Wells."
I gulp, hearing all this about Josiah made me extremely uncomfortable. I didn't think Josiah was a good guy but I never thought of him as a sick twisted bastard. "Um I'm going to the bathroom." I say before scurrying off. I splash some water on my face and sigh as I look into the mirror, "What have you really gotten yourself involved in Cam?"
I wipe my face with a towel before joining the girls for breakfast again. "You alright?" Rosa asks as she takes a bite of her hash brown. I nod, "Just peachy."
After breakfast the girls and I decide to all go shopping together. We get dressed and head out. When we get outside to the parking lot near our apartment, there was a car with a banner on it labeled "Camille".
"Um is that yours?" Mitchie asks. I shake my head, "I didn't buy a car."
Rosa grabs my arm, "There's a card attached lets read it." She leads me to the car and hands me the card.
"I hope not to see you walking the streets late at night anymore." I look down at who it's from, "J."
"So you do have a sugar daddy!" Mitchie exclaims. I shake my head, "No because I'm giving this back." Rosa shakes her head, "Camille he bought you a whole ass car you are not returning it until we've gone to the mall and come back. And I honestly think you should keep it." I sigh, if only they knew who it was actually from.
It had been 2 weeks since breaking up with Tyler and Josiah dropping me off at home that night. I hadn't heard from either one of them since. "You getting in or what?" Rosa asks as she sits in the passenger seat. "Where'd you get the keys?" I ask.
She holds up the card, "They were inside, now lets go shopping!" Mitchie climbs into the backseat and caresses the seat with her hands, "Your sugar daddy must be loaded because this is a nice ass car."
I get into the drivers seat and pull out of the parking spot. I drive us to the mall and we arrive shortly after. "So where do we start?" Mitchie asks as we get out from the car.
The girls look at each other, "Macy's!" They grab my hand and drag me along with them to the store. They immediately go after the shoe department and start looking. I wasn't in the mood for shopping, the only thing on my mind was Josiah and the car.
Why the hell would he buy me a car? I don't want anything from him and I want nothing to do with him. Ugh and I don't know where to find him to give it back, except for the club. But every time I go there something bad happens and I'm forced to run off with him to get away from Lancing.
"Camille are you still thinking about the car?" Rosa asks taking a seat next to me. I shake my head, "No I'm just not in a shopping mood." She frowns, "Since when do we lie to each other?"
I sigh, she was right I just keep lying and now I'm lying without noticing. "I'm sorry, I am still thinking about the car."
"Why does it bother you so much?" She asks. "I just don't want anything to do with this guy. And I don't want him buying me things."
"Then tell him that." I chuckle, "Trust me I'm trying."
"Well I can see you don't want to talk too much about this and I'll let you talk when you're ready. But for now I'm gonna get your mind off of it by shopping." She grabs my hand, "I saw the cutest pair of shoes for you."
She walks us over to wear Mitchie is on the floor surrounded by shoes. Rosa picks up a pair of nude lace up heels. "Ta da!" She hands them to me, "Try them on." I took a seat by Mitchie and tried on the shoe, "You have to get them." Mitchie says in awe.
I check the price sticker under the shoe, "$135? I don't think so." The girls frown, "Maybe your mystery sugar daddy will buy them for you." Mitchie teases. I laugh lightly as I take off the shoe and put them back.
We move onto clothes, and the girls pick a few things out to buy. I skim through the clothes but I still wasn't really interested. "Hey Cammie what about this?" Rosa asks holding up a maroon colored off the shoulder dress. It was short but really cute, "Tell me the price before I fall in love with it."
She checks the tag and smiles, "On sale for $19.99." I smile and grab the dress, "Well then let me try this on." I head over to the fitting room to try on the dress. After putting it on I stepped out of the room to show the girls, "What do you think?"
Mitchie smiles widely, "Spin." Rosa walks into the fitting room and gasps. "Whoa!? Who is that over there?" She puts her hand above her eyes to look at me, "Is that the baddest bitch I've ever seen aka my best friend?" I begin blushing out of embarrassment because all eyes were on us in the fitting room. "You look incredible Cam." Mitchie says.
"She looks better than incredible, if you don't buy that dress I'll buy it for you." Rosa comments. I take a look at myself in the mirror, the dress did fit me very nicely. It had a floral lace trim at the end and reached a little lower than mid thigh. It was bodycon with a heart shape neck line. It was more scandalous than anything I've ever worn before but I had to have it.
"I'll take it." I say turning to the girls with a smile. They both smile at me and Rosa pretends to wipe a tear, "My little girl is growing up." I playfully roll my eyes at her before shutting the fitting room door and changing out of the dress.
When we finally got home from a days worth of shopping the girls and I ate the dinner we picked up from Popeyes and crashed in front of the tv on the couch in the living room.

The weekend had gone by quickly and I was still stuck with this car. I arrived to work Monday morning early to catch up on some work I didn't finish. It was awkward because Tyler was the only other person in the office and we hadn't talked since that ohhh still.
It didn't even seem like he was mad at me, he just wasn't talking to me. Soon the rest of the other employees poured in and the tension went down. "Are you going to Ariels birthday bash?" Susan asks as she approaches my desk. "Does Ariel even like me?"
She chuckles, "Of course she does, you should come it's at that club downtown." I look up at her, "Vixens?" She nods, "That's the one, you're in right? Everyone in the office is coming, it's on Friday." I was hesitant I didn't want to ever set foot in that club again, "It'll give you a chance to win Tyler back, by the way you never told me why you broke up."
I begin to think about it, maybe I could find Josiah without having to go alone. "I'll think about it." She shrugs, "Alright then, if you decide to go let me know." I nod as she walks away from my desk.
The workday drags on slowly, it had been about over a month since Josiah's men put Richard in the hospital. I don't think he'll be coming back anytime soon and I wanted answers. I wanted to know why I out of all people was put in his will. I wanna know how he got himself involved with people like Josiah.
Questions like that ran through my mind often, just waiting to be answered. But until Richard wakes up from his coma or until Josiah decides to start answering me my questions won't be answered.
The workday finally comes to an end and I drag myself outside toward the car Josiah bought me and head home. It's not like I'm just gonna let the car sit there, I'm just gonna keep driving it until I find Josiah. When I get home the girls are already asleep. I get into bed but before I fall asleep I text Susan letting her know I'll come to the party.
