CHAPTER 58

Forced QUEEN

Her mind raced, unable to process what was happening. George—her childhood friend, the one she had grown up with, the one who had been like family—was standing in front of her, his eyes cold and calculating, a gun pointed directly at Vedansh.

"George?"

She whispered, her voice barely audible.

"No... you... You're the one who—"

Her heart sank as the truth hit her like a blow.

"You kidnapped me?"

George's expression twisted into something dark and unfamiliar. He stepped closer, the gun still trained on Vedansh.

"It was never personal, Miri,"

He said, his voice chilling.

"You just didn't see it, did you? All these years, I was nothing but a shadow to you. But now? Now I have your attention. All these men you trust, all these people you love? They're not going to save you. Not anymore."

Meera's mind was reeling. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. George—her best friend—had betrayed her in the worst possible way. How could he have done this? What had happened to him?

"George, please,"

Meera pleaded, her voice shaking.

"You don't have to do this. This isn't you. Why are you doing this?"

But George's eyes only hardened. He shifted his gaze to Vedansh, who was still trying to protect Meera.

"Stay out of this,"

George warned, his tone deadly serious.

"This has nothing to do with you. You should have stayed away, Vedansh. You should have never gotten involved. I'll make sure none of you leave this place alive."

The room seemed to grow colder as the tension thickened. Vedansh stood there, eyes narrowed, trying to figure out how to de-escalate the situation. But George had already taken control. The gun in his hand was a clear sign—he wasn't just holding them hostage; he had become the one in charge.

Meera's mind raced, her emotions overwhelming her. How had it come to this? George was no longer the friend she had known. He had become the enemy. She couldn't let him hurt Vedansh, or anyone else.

Just then, a loud crash echoed from the hallway. It was followed by the sound of gunfire—Vidyuth was still downstairs, fighting off George's men. She knew he was out there, and he would come for her, no matter what. But in the back of her mind, a haunting thought lingered—was it too late? Was George already too powerful?

As George turned his attention back to Meera, she knew she had to act. With all the strength she had left, she made a quick decision. She couldn't let him control her, not again.

"George,"

She said, her voice steady but trembling with fury.

"You're making a mistake. You're not going to win. You've lost me, and you've lost yourself in the process."

George's grip on the gun tightened, and for a moment, there was silence. His eyes flickered with uncertainty, as if he were fighting an internal battle. Meera took the opportunity to move closer to Vedansh, her heart pounding, knowing she had to keep him safe.

But before George could respond, there was another sound—louder this time. The door to the room flew open, and a figure stormed in, gun in hand. It was Vidyuth.

His eyes were wild with fury, his expression one of pure, unrelenting determination. His gaze fixed on George, who seemed to hesitate for the first time.

"Let her go, George,"

Vidyuth growled, his voice a low threat.

"I don't care what it takes, but you're not walking out of here alive if you hurt her."

George's eyes flickered between the three of them—Meera, Vedansh, and Vidyuth—before a twisted smirk crossed his lips.

"You think you can save her, Vidyuth?"

Vidyuth didn't answer. Instead, his hand tightened around the gun, his body tense, ready to do whatever it took to protect Meera.

In that moment, everything seemed to hang in the balance. The stakes were higher than ever before. The man Meera had once trusted, the man who had been like a brother to her, had become the one thing she feared the most.

The battle was on. And neither side was willing to back down.

The tension in the room was suffocating, each word George uttered cutting through the air like a blade. Meera's mind was spinning, trying to process everything that had been said, the weight of the accusations hanging heavily on her shoulders. The gun pressed to her head, the suffocating grip of George's arm, it all felt like a nightmare she couldn't wake up from.

George's voice echoed through the hall, a twisted mixture of anger and betrayal.

"My mom was your father's mistress,"

George began, his eyes burning with rage as he addressed Dominic, who remained kneeling, his hands clenched in helpless fists.

"He used her and then married your mother. This entire mess started because of you. You killed my only brother."

Vidyuth's gaze was fixed on George, his muscles tense, every instinct telling him to fight, to protect Meera, but he knew he couldn't make a move—not with the gun so close to her head. George continued, his voice rising.

"I was in school, studying with your sister, and it wasn't a coincidence. My brother had a plan, and it involved you, but you killed him. All of this... it's because of you, Dominic. And now my mother is on her deathbed, fighting for her life, all because of what your family did to mine."

Dominic's jaw tightened as he struggled to stay composed. The pain of hearing George's words, the twisted truths about his family, was unbearable. His mind raced, trying to make sense of everything, but the more George spoke, the more it felt like his world was unraveling.

Then George's attention shifted to Meera. His expression was cold and calculated, like he had already won.

"And you, Meera..."

His grip on her tightened, dragging her further into the storm of his rage.

"You're no different. You know the drug-making process your father left behind, the documents. You are one of them, Meera. I trusted you. I considered you my best friend, but you are no different than the rest of them."

The words cut through Meera like a knife, and for a moment, she felt like she couldn't breathe. She had never known about the drugs, about the documents her father had left behind, she got them on the next day when she got to know the truth about her mothers death. All she had known was that her father was a man of secrets, a man with a past, but this? This was a revelation that shook her to her core her own bestfriend suffered the Geayson's they mensioned the one who was behind her is her bestfriend.

"And you think your brother was innocent? He tried to kill my grandpa to take over Indian Mafia to make my father weak, and your brother tried to kill Aditya uncle, why do you think we will spare them?"

The revelation took all of them off guard exept vedansh and dominic. Even though George had Meera, one thing Vidhyuth was sure that George will not hurt meera cause he saw feelings and pain for Meera in his eyes.

"But I lost my family Vidyuth you love your family don't you?"

"George,"

Meera whispered, her voice trembling with hurt,

"I never knew. I didn't know about the drugs or the documents until two years ago."

George's eyes blazed with fury, and he snarled at her,

"Liar! You're a liar, Meera! You've known all along."

The words hit Meera like a punch to the gut, and her heart broke. She wanted to explain, to make him see the truth, but it felt like she was talking to a wall of hatred.

"Did you... did you do it? Did you... drug me two years ago?"

Meera asked, the question hanging in the air, fragile and raw.

George didn't even flinch. He sneered at her, his voice dripping with venom,

"Yes. I drugged you, Meera. I wanted you to understand what I've been going through. What my family has been through because of you and your family. I wanted you to feel the same pain, the same betrayal."

Meera's breath caught in her throat, the weight of his admission suffocating her. She had never suspected George of being capable of such cruelty, especially not to her. But now it all made sense—her confusion, her dizziness, the strange feeling that had plagued her for weeks. She had been drugged, and all along, it had been George's twisted way of trying to make her understand his pain.

"If I had known..."

Meera began, but she couldn't finish. George's voice cut through hers like a sharp blade.

"Accept it, Meera. You are one of them,"

He said, his words final and unyielding. The gun remained pressed to her head, and his grip on her tightened, as though he was trying to physically force her into submission.

Meera felt like the world was spinning around her. How had everything come to this? She had trusted George, considered him a friend, and now here he was—his hatred for her family consuming him, turning him into someone unrecognizable.

Vidyuth's eyes were burning with fury as he watched George hold Meera hostage, the gun pointed at her head. He wanted to scream, to attack, but he knew any sudden move could cost Meera her life. The rage inside him was boiling over, a dangerous, searing heat that he could no longer control.

"George, listen to yourself,"

Vidyuth finally spoke, his voice low but seething with intensity.

"You've let your pain control you, and now you're willing to destroy everything. You don't have to do this. We can find another way."

But George was beyond reasoning. The man standing before them was not the George Meera had once known. The pain, the bitterness, the vengeance—it had turned him into something else, something dark and unrecognizable.

"You think I'm going to listen to you, Vidyuth?"

George laughed bitterly, his eyes wild.

"You, who have everything handed to you on a silver platter, while my family has been torn apart? You think I care about your 'peaceful solutions'? No. This ends now."

Meera looked at Vidyuth, her heart breaking at the helplessness she saw in his eyes. He was trying to save her, but George wasn't going to stop—not now, not ever, George pointed gun on Vidyuht's head.

"George, please,"

Meera whispered, tears threatening to spill.

"This isn't you. he is my husband I love him, I was your best friend. I never wanted to hurt you. I never knew—"

But George wasn't listening anymore. His mind was made up, and the gun in his hand was his final answer he pushed meera pointed gun is her direction..
