Jealousy

Three. The Perfect Number

MADISON

At first, Madison was convinced Liam knew about her and the twins, but when he didn’t say anything about it the whole rest of the day, she figured she was just being paranoid.

And by the time she got home from work, she was too tired to even remember to worry.

Her phone lit up with a message as she walked into the living room.

Sam

Coming over

Sam

We’re going to the pub tonight

Madison

I can’t feel my body!

Sam

Not my problem love xx

With a growl, Madison sank down onto the sofa next to her brothers, then took a deep, dramatic breath.

“What’s up?” Liam asked.

“Nothing,” Madison said. “Sam is coming over. She wants to go out.”

“Good. It’s Friday,” Ezra pointed out.

“I know.” She was almost afraid to ask her next question. “Are you boys going out? I mean, I know you usually do, but last week you broke your streak.”

“Yeah, we’re going. The twins are coming over in a couple of hours.”

Her stomach tightened, but she kept her face neutral. “Nice. What’s the plan?”

Liam shrugged. “Not sure. Definitely a lot of drinks. Maybe some girls…but we’re probably getting a bit old for that.”

“Speak for yourself, bro,” Ezra said.

Madison felt sick at the thought of the twins bringing home another girl. Yeah, they were dating ~her~, but were they exclusive? They hadn’t really said.

She’d thought Daniel was committed to her, but he cheated. And though the twins had been furious about that, she still wasn’t sure what dating two men entailed.

Was an open relationship implied? Was it hypocritical to expect exclusivity from the twins when she got two of them and they only got one of her?

What if she couldn’t satisfy both of them?

“…so maybe you should come along this time.”

“Huh?” she said when she realized Liam was talking to her.

At the look on her face, Liam elbowed her playfully. “C’mon…come with us. It’ll be fun.”

Forcing her sore body to move, she stood up way too slowly and grabbed her bag from the floor.

She wrinkled her nose. “I’ll see what Sam has planned.”

As she walked toward her room, her phone lit up again.

Ethan

Are you at home?

Madison

Of course. Where else would I be?

Levi

Umm you could be here, that would be nice.

Levi

We’re coming over

Madison

I know.

Madison

It’s Friday.

Her phone blinked a couple of times after that, but she didn’t look at it.

When she got to her room, she threw the cell on her bed and dropped her gym bag on the floor, then headed straight for her bathroom.

***

She wasn’t sure how long she’d been soaking in her tub, but she opened her eyes when she noticed other scents mixed in with her honey and sandalwood bath salts.

Musk and ocean.

“What are you two doing here?”

“Well, you stopped answering us, so we came to check on you,” Ethan said.

“I’m fine. I was just…well, I guess napping in the bath.”

“Yeah, and I would really like to join you right now,” Levi murmured.

“Too bad you’re here to meet the boys,” she shot back. “Which reminds me, it isn’t smart for you guys to be in here.”

Ethan knelt in front of the tub and ran his hand through her wet hair, then leaned forward to kiss her.

“They’re getting ready,” he whispered against her lips. “They both just got in the shower.”

“Still…you really shouldn’t be here.”

With a groan she pulled away and lifted herself to stand in the tub, giving the boys an eyeful of her naked body.

“Hey! Why are you doing that?” Levi asked, his eyes wide.

She looked at him with a smirk and stepped from the tub, then took her towel from the wall and wrapped herself in it unhurriedly, enjoying the naked lust on the twins’ faces.

“Doing what?”

She sauntered out of the bathroom and sat on her bed. The twins followed.

“Are you ~jealous~?” Levi asked.

“Annoyed,” she corrected him.

“Only annoyed?” Ethan asked. He knelt in front of her again and stroked his hands up her legs.

“Fine,” she admitted. “Maybe also a bit jealous. But can you blame me?”

“Not really. We know we have a checkered past with your brothers. But we’ll behave.” Levi kissed the fading bruise on her shoulder. “And sorry again for this. I may have gotten too carried away.”

“It’s okay. I can cover it with makeup. Or wear something with a higher neckline.”

Feeling herself reacting to their touch, she shook both of them off and stood. “You should go before they notice you’re gone. I’m not convinced Liam bought your act this morning. Also, Sam’s coming over.”

Ethan sighed. “Fine. We’ll see you downstairs, ’Flake.” He stood and crushed his lips against hers, then let her go and slapped her ass playfully. “Better not dress too sexy!”

“Or we ~definitely~ won’t be able to behave,” Levi added.

He bent to kiss her as well, sucking a bit on her bottom lip before letting her go with a loud smack.

“You taste too damn good, ’Flake.”

“Mm-hm. Keep that in mind while you’re out tonight. Now go! I’ll see you downstairs.”

They left her room, smirking.

A few minutes later her door opened again, and Sam walked in, looking beautiful as always.

Her short curls were swept back off her face, showing off her perfect bone-structure, and her subtle makeup was applied with an expert hand.

Her slender body was draped in a silky blue dress that came halfway down her thighs and had short sleeves and a deep neckline. The color was a perfect complement to her tanned skin.

“Don’t you look hot.” Madison hugged her friend.

“Well, it’s Friday, and your brothers are here,” Sam replied after she gave Madison a kiss on the cheek. “And the twins.”

“Yeah, they’re here. Ready to go out on the town. For ~boys’ night~.” The annoyance in Madison’s tone was unmistakable, and Sam burst out laughing.

“You’re cute when you’re jealous. Come on then. Let’s make them feel sorry for leaving you alone with me.” Sam dove into Madison’s walk-in closet, then stuck her head out and pointed at the mark on her shoulder.

“Looks like we might need something with a higher neckline. I take it things are going well?”

“Um, yeah.” Madison leaned back on her bed. “Sam? Why did I wait so long to feel something like that? I mean, Daniel was ~nothing~ in comparison. And before you ask, yes! I’m still a virgin.”

In the closet Sam laughed again and called, “A very naughty one!” She came out with a pearl-white gauzy dress in her hand.

“This is the one,” she declared. “Shows off your ta-tas while still covering your shoulder.”

It was perfect, and Madison nodded at Sam with a mischievous smile.

It would definitely do for tonight.

ETHAN

The clatter of heels and the scent of perfume alerted Ethan to the girls’ impending arrival, and he and the rest of the boys congregated at the bottom of the stairs.

Sam was the first to reach the bottom, her silky dress swishing around her legs and her curls bouncing playfully.

Ethan heard Ezra whisper, “Oh boy,” and he glanced over at him.

The way his friend was looking at Sam was so intense that Ethan could barely contain his grin.

But then he saw Madison, and she was so smoking hot, it wiped the smile right off of his face.

Her platinum blonde mane, up into a high ponytail, flowed down her back in soft waves.

Her naked cleavage stood out against the pale color of her dress, set off by the plunging neckline and short, loose sleeves.

The dress wrapped perfectly over her breasts, then flowed loosely over her flat stomach and perfect hips, draping lightly to halfway down her thighs.

High heels made her toned legs look even longer.

Dark kohl outlined her icy eyes, giving them a feline look—and an intensity as she met his stare that entranced him completely.

He swallowed.

“Jesus, Levi…”

“I know, brother.”

Liam’s voice broke into his reverie. “Wow, you two. Are you planning on breaking hearts tonight or what?”

“I’m not sure I should let you go out like that,” Ezra growled, and Ethan silently agreed.

He’d much rather throw Madison over his shoulder, carry her back to her bedroom, and take turns ravishing her with Levi all night long.

When Madison reached the bottom of the stairs, she walked right past him and Levi, straight to her brothers.

In her heels, she was almost as tall as them.

She planted a kiss on Ezra’s cheek before she turned around to stand by Sam. “Come on now, Ezra. I don’t remember you being quite so fussy before.”

“Before, you were a kid. Now you’re a woman—a very beautiful one—and I know what guys think when they see a girl like you.”

~Yup. Exactly what Levi and I are thinking.~
