Chapter 642
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 641:
As soon as the little girl stood up, she said to Stella, âThank you,â before turning around and leaving.
âStella, letâs go,â Emily said, looking at Stella.
Stella nodded and stopped watching the girlâs back. She picked up her things and turned to leave with Emily. Just as they had taken two steps, they heard a loud noise coming from behind. Stella and Emily turned back to find that the little girl had fainted.
Stella quickly stuffed the things in her hands into Emilyâs arms and rushed over to the girl.
âWake up, little girl. Are you okay?â Stella squatted down and gently patted the little girlâs face, but she didnât respond at all.
âStella, it looks like she fainted from malnutrition.â Emily walked to Stellaâs side, observing the little girlâs pale and thin face. âShe looks like she hasnât eaten for a few days.â
âLetâs take her to the hospital.â Stella touched the girlâs forehead but didnât feel any heat. It would be terrible if something had happened to her, so she felt that going to the hospital was the best option.
The little girl seemed to have heard the words âthe hospitalâ and mumbled something, but her voice was so faint that Stella had to lean in to hear her.
âDonât go to the hospital, please donât.â
Before she could finish her words, she fainted again.
âWhat did she say?â
Emily looked at Stella with concern and asked.
âShe said she didnât want to go to the hospital.â
Stella looked at Emily, puzzled as to why the girl was so reluctant to go.

âEmily, go and drive the car here. Letâs take her home,â Stella decided after a moment of thought. It would be better to take her home.
Emily nodded and walked toward the parking lot.
After a while, Emily drove the car over and helped Stella carry the little girl to the back seat.
âIs there any way to contact her family?â
Emily asked while driving. After all, taking her back was not a big deal, but it would be troublesome if her family couldnât find her.
âI found a mobile phone. Thereâs only one contact number on it. When I called, it was just blank.â
Stella replied, flipping through the call history to find only one number listed.
Stella and Emily first carried the girl home, laid her on the sofa, and then Emily went to get something.
Stella went to the bedroom and took out a blanket to cover her. Looking at the girlâs thin clothes, she thought about how the temperature outside was below zero, and she must have been freezing.
Stella poured a glass of water, noticing the little girlâs dry lips and hoarse voice. She didnât know how long it had been since the girl last drank water.
Checking the time, Stella saw that it was already three-thirty in the afternoon. She realized she couldnât go out for a while, but she hadnât bought any vegetables yet. So, she went to the kitchen to see if there were any dishes left.
Opening the refrigerator, she found it empty and thought that when Emily returned, she would ask her to buy some food later. It wasnât convenient for her to go out. If the little girl woke up, she would need to ask for her familyâs contact information.
When Emily came back and put her things away, she went to buy food, leaving Stella alone sitting on the sofa and looking at the sleeping girl.
âCough...â
A cough caught Stellaâs attention, and she immediately stood up to check on the little girl.
âYouâre awake,â Stella said, approaching her. Upon seeing the girlâs face and noticing her green eyes, she realized that she was a foreigner.
âWhere is this place?â As soon as she woke up, she saw Stella and asked.
âThis is my home. You fainted on the side of the road. I checked your mobile phone but found no calls from your family. I wanted to take you to the hospital, but you didnât seem to want that.â Stella listened to her fluent local language and thought that the girl must be a foreigner who knew how to speak it.
âThank you, my name is Alicia,â the girl smiled at Stella. She didnât expect to meet such a kind person.
âYouâre welcome. My name is Stella,â she replied. When she heard the name Alicia, she was momentarily stunned. It reminded her of Alice. Aliciaâs green pupils were just like Aliceâs, but Stella quickly dismissed the thought, standing up to pour a cup of warm water for Alicia. She felt that the girl should drink more water.
Alicia took the glass from Stellaâs hand and thanked her just as the doorbell rang.
Hearing the doorbell, Stella thought it might be Emily, who had gone out without the key. She opened the door, but to her surprise, it was RK and Ruben.
âWhy are you guys back so early today?â Stella asked, glancing at the clock on the wall, realizing it was not yet four oâclock.
âWeâre back because our work is done,â Ruben replied, glancing around the room. RK simply nodded and remained silent.
Ruben changed his shoes and walked over to the sofa. Noticing Alicia lying there, covered with a blanket, and appearing very thin, Ruben almost sat down on her. Thankfully, he reacted quickly and avoided it.
âSister-in-law! Where did you pick up this beauty?â Ruben exclaimed.
