Chapter 294
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 294:
Ever since Adrian found out that Stella was hospitalized, he showed up at the hospital every day, right on time.
He would hold her hand and talk non-stop, telling her how tired he was from the small things at kindergarten, how he argued with Alia, and how he got full marks on his tests. RK listened until he was completely worn out.
Each time, Adrian was reluctant to leave, and RK would have to drag him into the car and ask the driver to take him home.
Since Stella had been hospitalized, RK hadnât returned to the Kingston family home. With Stella still unconscious, he couldnât bring himself to leave her side. As long as she didnât wake up, he would stay with her every single day.
That afternoon, RK was gently wiping Stellaâs face when he heard a commotion outside the door.
âIâm sorry, Mr. Davis, you canât go in.â
When Tristan finally cleared up his affairs and rushed back to the hospital, Stella had already been transferred from the ICU to a general ward. When he tried to enter the room, RKâs bodyguards blocked him.
âWhy? Is this RKâs doing?â Tristan immediately guessed who was behind it. Otherwise, why would they stop him so aggressively?
âMr. Kingston said that Miss Richard needs complete peace and shouldnât be disturbed.â
So, Tristan was now considered a nuisance. RK really had a new opinion of him.
âCanât I just go in for a moment? Just to see her?â Tristan asked, realizing that until Stella woke up, it was better to play along with RKâs demands. Otherwise, he might never get to see her.
âNo. Tristan, donât you know youâre very noisy? The mask I just put on Stellaâs face has already fallen off,â RKâs voice came from between the bodyguards, his expression unfriendly.
âRK, who do you think you are? What right do you have to keep me from seeing her?â
L·âŧÑ$Ï Ã§Ð½Î±ÏÏÑÑ$ ÃÏ galnoνeâs.com âOh, itâs not about rights. I just donât want to see you in there. If youâve got the ability to get past me, then by all means, go ahead,â RK replied smugly, as if daring him to try.
Tristan was speechless. If only his life could be rid of RK, things would be perfect. He had seen shameless people before, but RK was on another level.
Left with no choice, Tristan backed off. At least he knew Stella was safe. He didnât want to cause a scene at her door, so he called Emily to remind her to visit Stella often.
Emilyâs situation wasnât much better than Tristanâs. Though she could enter Stellaâs room, RK wouldnât let her get within half a meter of the bed. She could barely even see her friendâs face. RK guarded Stella like a hawk, so much so that even a fly wouldnât stand a chance of getting near her, let alone a person.
It was as if RK had turned into an overprotective mother. Whether this was personal growth or decline was anyoneâs guess.
That afternoon, Adrian arrived in a hurry after school. Now, except for Adrian, RK didnât allow anyone near Stella. Even Emily, who was Stellaâs best friend, could only stand a half-meter away. As for people like Tristan, who had feelings for Stella, they were barred entirely.
Every day, RK personally cared for Stellaâwashing her face, applying her face masks, and using a cotton swab to give her water. He insisted on doing everything himself.
To be fair, he had hired a nurse for tasks he couldnât perform, like cleaning her body. After all, if he tried to do that, Stella would never forgive him when she woke up.
The person RK spoke to the most every day was Stella, and the person he called the most was also Stella.
âDarling, Iâm here!â Adrian came running into the ward.
RK grabbed him, helping him take off his schoolbag and coat. âAdrian, you canât be too rough. Darlingâs body is very weak right now.â
Adrian pouted and stood awkwardly while RK helped him, clearly not used to such fussing. Once he was free of his coat, he dashed over to Stellaâs bed and began talking endlessly.
âDarling, Darling, the begonias have bloomed! All the begonias in the garden in front of our house are blooming. Itâs so beautiful.
I went to see them yesterday, but you werenât there, so it was much quieter.â
âDarling, we played games at kindergarten today, and we won first place again! The teacher said Iâm very smart.â
âDarling, my teacher asked why you havenât picked me up from school lately. I told her you were sick and that Bad Uncle was taking care of you, so the driver picks me up instead.â
âDarling, today our teacher had us recite a poem. Iâve already memorized it. Listen, Iâll recite it for you:
How doth the little crocodile Improve his shining tail, And pour the waters of the Nile On every golden scale!
How cheerfully he seems to grin, How neatly spreads his claws, And welcomes little fishes in, With gently smiling jaws!
My teacher says Iâm a genius, a child prodigy, because I can memorize and recite poems like this!â
RK interrupted, âIf you keep reciting poems like that, believe me, Stella will sleep even more soundly.â
