Eight

San Diego, California

I don't know how nor when I got home or when I fell asleep but god fucking damn was I tired. I open my eyes expecting a hangover headache but surprisingly I feel okay. I'm little groggy as I wipe the sleep out my eyes and sit up some only to feel a body next to me.

Huh?

I look over and see a sleeping Billie laying beside me, snoring gently. Her lips are parted as soft snores escapes her. Her hair is in a messy bun and she had pulled the cover until it was right under her mouth.

I grab my phone and look at the time to see it is only one in the afternoon. Yawning, I get out of the bed and walk to my bathroom. Taking care of my business, I wash my hands and my face before brushing my teeth.

"Hi"I look to the side to see Billie now awake and standing just outside my bathroom as I come out.

"Hey" I say and walk around her to go sit back on the bed. I rub my temples some as Billie stares at me.

"What happened last night?" I ask her and she comes to sit beside me. She scratches her wrist as she yawns and shrugs her shoulders.

"You got drunk then had a whole god damn twerk session with Iris and your friend Amaya. Your ears started ringing so we left the party which took you forever to get in the fucking car because you wouldn't fucking let me drive your precious Hellfire. I drove us here after having to literally go through your phone to find your fucking address because you want to be a big baby and throw another tantrum about me taking you home. When we got here, you were already pretty much passed out so I just led you inside and laid you down. You fell asleep pretty much after that but wouldn't fucking let go of me so I went to sleep here"

"I threw a tantrum twice?" is pretty much all I gathered from her making her roll her eyes but nod her head yes.

"Oh wow that's crazy" I mumble and groan loudly. "That's crazyy" I repeat.

She doesn't say anything as her phone beeps and she goes to grab it. The dark haired girl stares at it for a moment before putting her phone in her pocket. "I have to go. I have a meeting that starts in ten minutes" Billie says and I nod my head, standing up.

"What are you doing?" She asks me and I grab my keys before walking out of the room. "Driving you to your bus duh" I reply as I walk downstairs and head to the front door.

"I can just get an Uber Halley it's cool bro" She follows me after grabbing her stuff but I continue heading to my car that sits parked on the street, looking all sexy.

God I love my car

"Just get in the car Billie"

"Babe you look like a hey mamas lesbian right now" Iris tells me as I lay down on top of her on the couch.

"You think I can do it?" I sit up and lick my lips a bunch of times dramatically before bitting my bottom lip as I stare at Iris all crazy "Hey mamas" I say slowly making Iris burst into laughter before she pushed me away.

I laugh and shake my head no. "Nah saying mama is better" I say answering my own question.

"How is that better?"

I stare into Iris' eyes and lower my eyes so I was looking at her with hooded eyes before slowly running my tongue on my bottom lip. I lift my hand up to fix her hair before sending her a small smirk. "How you doing mama" I say and she only just stared at me with widen eyes

We both began to laugh and I lay back on top of her. "Bro never do that shit again" She tells me and I nod in agreement.

"Leave me alone I suck at flirting with motherfuckers"

She grabs her phone and connects to her speakers while she wraps her other arm around me. I look at her phone to see she clicks on Ocean Eyes by Billie Eilish.

"You need to start learning Billie's songs now that you're friends with her" She says making me groan and lay my head on her chest.

"Why does it matter if I know her music or not" I whine dramatically.

"Because it's apart of her and you're her friend so you should at least know some of her songs"

"And this song is a song I should know?" I ask her and she nods her head telling me "Definitely it's one of the songs that got her famous in the first place"

Iris pushes me to stand and hands me her phone where the lyrics were playing with the music. I realized that I heard this song before I just never knew it was Billie Eilish. I actually know most of the words surprisingly making me smile and sing along.

"I've been walking through a world gone blind cant stop thinking of your diamond mind." I sing and Iris sways slowly to the music making me laugh and dance with her as I continue to sing. "Careful creature made friends with time. He left her lonely with a diamond mind"

We continue to dance as the song soon comes to an end and Iris grins before playing another song by her.

No Time to Die by Billie Eilish

"This is one of my top ten favorite songs by Billie" Iris tells me and I recognize it from all the times she would play it which is a million times.

"Go best friend!" She sings with me as the song plays and she wraps her arm around me as we tilt our heads up to look at the ceiling.

I sway to the slow music and gently close my eyes as I continue to sing with Billie on the song. "Was I stupid to love you? Was I reckless to help? Was it obvious to everybody else?"

I allow my voice to shake some like she was doing in the song and feel myself getting lost in the song. I feel Iris hyping me up in the background but I ignore her and continue singing.

I reach close to the end of the song and Iris yells out how this was the high part making me finally remember when Iris had me watch Billie's No time to Die performance for the fifth time a few weeks ago.

I open my eyes and see Iris is recording me making me laugh and walk toward her as I continue to sing before taking her hand and spinning her in a circle.

"There's just no time to die" Me and Iris sing toward her before she giggles and stops the video. "Best you hit the note" She exclaims and replays the video making me hear me sing.

"Oh wow" I say in shock as I smile staring at the video.

"Best you have the greatest voice ever" She tells me making me blush and shake my head no. "No I'm serious Hals. Billie can't even hit that note anymore because the song was made when she was younger and her voice grew since then"

"Seriously?"

She nods and I smile shaking my head. We drop the topic soon after and continue to hang out before she kicks me because she has to head to work. Iris works night shifts at a bar near her crib and sometimes I would come for the free drinks.

I head back to my house only for Billie to call me just as I walk inside. "Hey Bil"I say placing my keys on the kitchen counter.

"So guess what I just heard" She says excitedly through the phone making me say a quick what.

"You singing No Time to Di—"

I hanged up.
