Seventy Four

Halley's Comet

BILLIE

May 29

Los Angeles, California

"You not sick of that game?" I ask as I look at Halley who was starting up her playstation. She glances at me as she puts her headphones on and shakes her head no.

"No why? You want me to get off?" I do but I wasn't going to tell her that.

I shake my head no and sit up in the bed. "No. You're fine." I tell her, running a hand through my messy hair.

She looks at me for a moment before reaching over to turn the playstation off. "Baby It's okay—" I start to say but she cuts me off.

"Let me show my gorgeous wife some attention." She smiles climbing into the bed with me. I grin as she pecks my lips a few times before burying her face in my neck.

"I love you" I express as I felt her smile against my neck. "I love you more my love."

We stay in that moment for a minute. I tangle my fingers in her hair and smile softly. It amazes me how far we have come and to still be so in love after all these years.

You couldn't save me, but you can't let me go.

I can crave you but you don't need to know

My hand does to my ear as multiple people shout in my ear. I glance over at Finneas whose eyes were focused behind me. I turn around only to find a girl falling flat on the side of the stage.

I instantly rush over to her. "Are you okay?" I hurriedly ask as I gently shake her. She appears to be passed out but I couldn't entirely tell. "Hello?"

Her eyes open and my heart slightly pounds as those gorgeous eyes stare back at me. "Are you okay?" I repeat and she groans, lifting her hand to hold her head.

Tilting my head to the side, my brows frown when she doesn't answer. "Bro get your ass up." I say starting to get irritated. She looks around us for a moment and points to her ear.

Seconds later, she springs to her feet, almost knocking me down in the process. "The fuck." I mutter as she stumbles slightly, trying to catch her feet.

"What are you doing here?" I ask her slightly confused on how she got on the stage in the first place. Glancing behind me at Finneas, he shrugs his shoulders confused on the same thing.

She frowns as she looks at my lips before pointing to her ear again. It took me a second to realize that she is pointing at hearing aids.

She waves her hand and I repeat myself for the millionth time. "What are you doing here?" She

"Want the long story or the short version?" Her voice catches me off guard and I felt my heart skip a beat. I stare at her a moment before biting my lip as a small sigh escapes my lips.

"Short version"

"This dude named Billie Eilish. Now I don't know who the fuck Billie Eilish is but goddamn was his shit loud and flashy. I had my eyes closed and could see the flashing." She slightly rants before rolling her eyes. My eyes raise at her words before chuckling lowly.

"I didn't even want to be here but she had no one else to go with her so here I am I guess. You know I think she better gift me some burritos after this because I'm fucking starving and being here with these loud ass fans and music is making me seriously get a headache you know? This is why I turned my shit off in the first place."

I look over at Finneas, slightly debating what to say at this point. "Oh is that Billie? HI BILLIE" She suddenly shouts, catching me off guard. I glance at her and she waves over at my brother.

Oh lord this girl doesn't even know

"What are you thinking about?" Halley says breaking me out of my thoughts. I look down at her and smile, shaking my head.

"When we first met." I respond as my eyes shift to look at the ceiling. "How fucking stupid your ass was." I add as I laugh.

"Oh shut up." Halley rolls her eyes, sitting up. She straddles my lap and I look at her with a small smile playing on my lips. "It's not my fault! I didn't know who you were." She fusses playing with the string of my pants.

"You came to my concert. You should've at least looked up the person you were seeing."

Halley shakes her head and leans down, pecking my lips gently. "I know you now." She whispers making me giggle and shake my head at her.

"You bet your ass you do." She laughs at my words as I wrap my arms around her, caging her to my body. She lays her head on my chest, staring into my eyes with a grin playing on her lips.

"Ugh I love you so much." Halley expresses, leaning up to peck my lips. "After all of these years I can only say that my love for you has grown more and more profound for you my love." She adds.

Cupping her face in my hands, I grin as I look at her. "The way I feel for you, the way you make me feel makes my heart feel whole. I can't even express how much love I have for you my gorgeous wife." I tell her, running my fingers through her hair.

"You mean the universe to me." I add pressing my lips to hers. I felt her smile against my lips before deepening the kiss.

—

"Are you alright?" I ask Iris as we stand side by side, chopping vegetables. She hums a small noise but doesn't really give me an answer. I glance over at her to see her brows frowned as she shows her attention to what she is doing.

Iris and Amir decided to do a bit of a family picnic in their home. They invited everyone over and gave us all a little tour of the house. I was heavily impressed with her decor choices and how well the home fit their family.

Halley and I came in the kitchen to help Iris cook originally but Amir asked Halley to play a game with everyone outside so she decided to ditch me. I didn't really mind anyways because Iris looked like she wasn't in the mood for a lot of company, as she cooks.

"Alexa play Blue Dream by Jhene Aiko" A few moments later, Iris says and clears her throat. She gives her carrots another quick rinse under the water before groaning. "Where's my brown sugar?" She then asks causing me to look around the two of us.

My attention is grabbed by the scream of my wife. I quickly look out of the window only to see Halley running away from Finneas who laughs after her. I slowly smile as Amir suddenly comes running in and grabs Halley, lifting her up. A laugh escapes me as my ears could practically hear my wife cursing them all out.

"How are you and Halley?"

Iris's voice brings me back to earth and my eyes turn to hers before I clear my throat. "Huh? Oh!" I pause and dust my hands off on my shirt. "We're good." Looking back out the window, my lips smile once more. "It's been a crazy few years but God has it been an amazing journey."

"You know.." I pause as I glance over at Iris who focuses on making the glazed carrots. "I honestly didn't think we would last in the beginning."

"What do you mean?"

"Halley was the first girl I ever been with. It was something new, something I never experienced before. So, I had my doubts about it. I use to question if I was really feeling this girl or if I'm just confused about all of this." I explain with a small sigh leaving my lips as I finish speaking.

Iris shakes her head and looks out the window at her best friend. "I'm glad you two found each other even though it was in the most weirdest ways possible." She jokes and I laugh, rolling my eyes.

"Listen my baby was a little bit slow. That's okay. We fixed it." She laughs with me just as the boys and Halley come inside.

"Best get your husband before I get him." Halley says fake bucking at Amir who only laughs at her as he pushes her toward me. He wraps his arms around Iris and I grin up at my wife who sends me a toothy grin. "Hey little bitch"

The fuck she just say?

Smacking her upside her head, I glare at her. "The fuck you calling me?" I ask raising an eyebrow. She sent me a sly smirk before moving out of my reach.

"Bitch." She says before running out of the kitchen as I throw at a knife at her, nearly missing her.

She just be saying shit sometimes

"What the fuck?" Iris blurts as she grabs her knife that was stuck to the wall. "Don't be throwing my shit." She tells me pointing the knife at me with a playful glare.

"Your friend keep playing with me." I mumble as I wash my hands in the sink. Iris hums in response as Amir comes up behind her, whispering something in her ear.

"Bae you didn't have to throw a knife!" A out of breath Halley says as she walks back into the kitchen. "Trying to kill me"

"Don't talk to me." Pushing her away from me, I focused on finishing cooking. "Calling me out my fucking name. Done lost your mind." I mumble under my breath still irritated.

"Baby I was just playing." Wrapping her arms around my waist, she buries her face in the crook of my neck. "I'm sorry." Rolling my eyes, I ignore her presence.

"Mama" Halley whispers in my ear and I bite my lip lowly, pushing her away slightly.

"Move Serafina."

"Amir dared me to do it." She says pointing at her friend who instantly glares at her. Iris looks at Amir with a slight raise of her brow as she crosses her arms over her chest.

"And you fucking did it so shut up."

Halley flips him off before focusing her attention back onto me. "I'm sorry my love. I love you so much." She whispers pressing her lips to mine.

"I love me too." I reply once we pull away making her blank face me. "Say it back." She tells me and I shake my head no.

"Say it backkk" Tickling my sides as she kisses me all over my face, I burst into a fit of giggles, trying to push her away. "H-Halley!" I squeal squirming in her arms as she laughs.

"Say it" She demands pulling me closer. "O-Okayy I love you" I say, slightly out of breath from laughing. She grins and pecks my lips before letting me go.

"I love you too my love."
