Sixty Nine
Halley's Comet
A FEW YEARS LATER
"Mrs.Billie Comet." I whisper to my sleeping wife who slightly moves in her sleep. Snoring softly, she is lying with her arm over her eyes and her other arm is wrapped around my waist. "It's time to wake up." Somehow in our sleep, I rolled on top of Billie and was lying with my head buried in her neck.
The last few years with Billie has been amazing. We got married exactly five years ago today. Billie and I decided to wait for a honeymoon and took a honeymoon a year later. We ended up traveling to Singapore for about a month then came back only to find out Maggie and Patrick were getting a divorce.
They apparently been separated for a year before they decided that divorce was a better option.
My wife was devastated.
Her brother, Finneas, didn't care because he already had sensed that Maggie and Patrick were happily in love as they use to be. He helped his mom move out of the house and into a wonderful home that him and Billie bought for her.
The divorced couple ended up selling the house, their childhood home. Billie was definitely hurt about that and tried to fight her parents on that. She even offered to buy the house to which Patrick said no to but Maggie wasn't against the idea. They ended up fighting about it pretty bad but in the end Billie was sold the house. It is now one of our many homes across the country.
Patrick randomly decided to move out California about a year later and moved to the east coast, in Virginia. He still is in contact with Finneas and Billie but he is now married again to this sweet woman Alice.
I like her but Billie can't stand her so we don't go visit them that much.
"Come on beautiful." I shake her and peck her lips a few times until she groans lowly and tightens her arm around me.
"It's early." She whines making me chuckle and shake my head. Only my wife would think that one in the afternoon is early on a Thursday.
"Hi my love." I whisper to her before pressing my lips to hers once more. She smiles into the kiss but doesn't hesitate to return the gesture. "How did you sleep?" I ask her and she makes a funny noise before flipping us over so she is lying above me.
"I slept good. I had a dream about us." She tells me with a small smile playing on her lips. I run my hand through her messy bed hair and nod for her to go on. I love Billie's hair right now. She has her ends black while her roots are bright red.
So much has changed in the past five years.
Billie has grown so much, mentally, and so have I. She ended up taking a break from music after we came back from our honeymoon. She said she just wants to enjoy the two of us and I couldn't help but agree. Her fans of course understood and Billie still makes time to go on live with them.
"I dreamed we were on a beach and we were laughing as we watched our two kids, Amari and Madelyn. Amari, our son, definitely is my twin. He has my exact attitude but your sense of humor." She pauses as her smile grows. She chuckles and sits up as she speaks. "He is so beautiful Halley."
"I bet he is." I say as she straddles my lap. I rub invisible circles on her thigh and she laughs. "It's nice to think about how" I pause as her piercing ocean blue eyes stare into my hazel brown ones. "we are going to be parents once day." I finish off and she smiles, leaning down to peck my lips.
"You definitely would be the bad cop." She jokes making me laugh and roll my eyes. "I feel like we will be amazing parents."
"Will be a beautiful family." I say and sit up. She runs her hands through my hair and sighs in delight. "I can't wait to make you a mom."
"Raising kids, growing old together." She shakes her head and lays her head on my shoulder. "Sounds like a paradise."
"It does." I kiss her cheek and stand up with her in my arms, walking to our bathroom. I set her down on the sink and pull away from my beautiful wife who groans at the loss on contact.
I turn on the water for our bathtub, making sure it is at a good temperature. Billie likes to take bubble baths and then joins me in the shower. I'm so use to her taking a bath before she comes into the shower that I don't always immediately step into the shower. I always get into the shower maybe ten minutes after she gets in the tub.
Tying my hair into a messy bun, Billie grins and pokes her lips out for a kiss. I happily grant her wish and press my lips to hers as my arms snake around her. "I love you." She whispers against my lips, peering into my eyes.
"I love you more." I peck her lips once more before squeezing her waist tight.

After taking a shower, I threw some grey sweatpants on and a grey hoodie with a black sports bra. Billie got ready as well, dressed in some basketball shorts and a black hoodie. She pulled her hair up and I grabbed my headphones.
We're about to head to the gym. I gifted Billie with some breakfast and my usual seamoss strawberry smoothies. About a year after Billie and I got married, I started learning more about nutrition and health. I got back into the gym and started losing weight, growing muscle. Billie didn't want to join me at first but eventually gave in. She definitely doesn't do as much as me but still is doing well.
"I don't see why we have to run to the gym." Billie groans as we stretch our arms on the side walk. I chuckle and shake my head at her words. She does this every morning so I'm use to it at this point.
Billie hates running.
It's mostly a jog but either way Billie doesn't want to do it. It usually takes about twenty minutes to get to the gym so we are in for a good pre workout.
"Come on baby you got this." She takes a sip of her water and puts her air-pods in her ear with a slight whine. I tap her butt softly and kiss her cheek before giving her a bright smile. "We got this."

"What's up best friend?" I answer the call from
my best friend, Iris, as I jog on the treadmill. Iris says something but it's a little hard to hear her so I tell to repeat it.
"What are you doing?" She asks me. I tell her that I'm at the gym with Billie. "Where's Billie?"
"She's right here." I slow down the treadmill and point the camera toward Billie, who is walking beside me on the treadmill. "Tell her I said hi!" Iris tells me making me laugh and tap my wife.
"What's upâIris! Hi lovey!" Billie exclaims taking her air-pod out of her ear. My wife and Iris are practically best friends at this point. They call each other at least once a week. Iris calls me every day, but they still end up talking to each other for a little bit when we're on the phone.
"Why don't you just call her?" I groan when Billie basically takes my phone, trying to talk to Iris.
"Shush" Billie hisses making me roll my eyes.
Stole my fucking best friend
I take my headphones off and let Billie talk to Iris. "I missed you so much." She grins as she sets my phone up so Iris could see her properly.
I resume my jog and try my best to work out without my music. I always need to listen to music when I work out. Honestly when I do anything.
Billie likes to watch youtube videos or a movie. She's basically an ipad kid. She needs to watch something when she's eating, working out, or basically doing anything.
"We should hang out soon!" Iris tells her making Billie laugh. Great now Iris is stealing my wife.
Iris and Amir ended up getting married about two years after Billie and I. They are expecting a little girl in about four months. Iris really wants her name to be Sapphire while Amir is not for the idea.
I personally like Halley for a name but that's just me!
"Of course yeah. Just text me later and we can figure it out." Billie tells her and Iris instantly agrees. They talk for a few more moments before Billie hangs me the phone. I try to say good bye to my best friend, she was already gone.
This some bullshit.
I connect my phone back to my headphones and turn my music back on. Billie goes back to her show and I drown in my music.
A few seconds later, I feel my arm tapped. I pause my music and turn to my wife. She pokes her lips out for a kiss making me shuffle a laugh. Leaning over, I peck her lips a few times before smiling down at her.
"I love you wifey" I tell her making her laugh and wipe my lips of her aquaphor.
"I love you more my comet."
