Chapter 9 ~ Aaron Walked In

We made it back to the territory and I got in a couple hours training! I sparred mostly with Evan, since he is the one who will be setting the schedule and practicing moves with me.

By the time I showered and dressed.. Aaron came in to escort me to dinner. Such a gentleman! We walked down the three flights of stairs.. only to run into Amy. Yippeeee! She sneers “It isn’t enough you had Ernie fire me.. now you go after my man?” Yeah.. she’s delusional! I tell her “I didn’t have Ernie do shit! I manage that restaurant! I do the hiring and firing! You had that job..because I Hired You! And now… you are fired. For conduct unbecoming of an employee of Ernesto’s. I am not ‘going after Aaron’ as you put it, Aaron is my mate! Thereby implying.. I already Have him! Which makes me your Luna! Disrespect me again. I dare you!”

She smirks naughtily.. and tries to run her hand up Aaron’s arm.. Tries! I snatched her wrist.. holding tightly.. she says “Well! I was in his bed, first! We fucked one time!” I snapped her wrist and said “Must have really sucked, if it was only the once! Might want to head to the clinic! That’s going to need a cast!”

I walked into the dining room, with Aaron taking long strides to catch up. He says “I’m sorry.. I should have told you. Honestly, it was the furthest thing from my mind, after realizing you are my mate.. nothing else mattered.” I turn and look at him “If that bitch.. or any other bitch has been in that bed, with you.. it will Burn before I sleep on it!”

He assures me no one has.. that his one time with Amy was in high school. And there has been no one else since he took over as Alpha. So, okay.. I am already past it. But it was cute watching him squirm. I ask him “How old are you?” He laughs and says “Random.. but, okay. I’m 23 in seven days.” I gasp and say “Your birthday and a Luna ceremony! Okay! Just awesome! Two parties in one! Oh! I’m so excited!” He asks me how old I am and I tell him 21. He wanted to know my birthday and I told him… three days ago.. the fifth anniversary of my banishment!

I told him “I don’t celebrate my birthday anymore.. I celebrate my freedom! Same day.. just one has more meaning!” He hugged me tight to him. I notice he does that when he doesn’t know what to say.. or maybe I just look like I could use a hug…

The next morning, I let Aaron know it’s my early day at the restaurant and I was there until eight tonight. He said that’s fine.. but he will take me and pick me up…saying he had errands in town, and he wanted to check my house.

I get ready for work.. and come back downstairs. I have on a white fitted blouse with cap sleeves.. and black dress slacks. My hair is braided down my back.. Aaron grins when he sees me “Damn! You even make conservative look sexy!” My insides clench in arousal and he groans “You’re killing me!” I bite the insides of my cheek before I say “It’s your fault! I didn’t even know my body would do that!” And he just grins like he topped Mount Everest!

Walking into the restaurant, I head to the office..asking Ernie how many applications did we get for a new server. He tells me five and hands them over. I called three of them, and scheduled interviews..

For right now, we are short handed, so, after I prep tonight’s special.. I will be front of the house.. working with Mandy! I enjoy working with Mandy. She’s fun to be around. A little sensitive but still adorable!

I was just finishing my prep for chicken cordon bleu, when I heard the door ding.. And I smelled it.. that distinct earthy petrichor smell partial to male elves.. Mandy goes out to seat whoever it is, and I stop her.. “I’ll take this one.. Ernie, notify Aaron to get here, NOW!”

I walk out front and spot them.. a dark and a light.. Odd, seeing them together! Checking for my poinard and feeling all of them, I relax a bit. “Gentlemen.. how can we help you today? Table for two? Right this way” Leaving them with no option but to follow.. I seat them and ask what they’d like to drink. Taking the order, I walked to the bar and mixed their wine spritzers. Grown assed men drinking spritzers!

I delivered the drinks, and the light elf says “It’s time to come home, Princess!” I laughed.. and said “I am home! And I certainly wouldn’t return to a place where I had to fight for my life every day! Nor would I travel with someone who consorts with darkness!” I turned to walk away and he grabbed my arm! Big mistake! I spun out of it.. grabbing his arm with my free one and twisted around until his arm was behind his back. I held him in that position, squeezing a pressure point… While I threw my dagger at the dark elf.. pinning him to the chair

It was at that point.. Aaron walked in
