Chapter 18 ~ All’s Right With my World

Aaron’s POV ~

I sank my canines into her skin..and just as they seated, I felt hers pierce my skin. She marked me! I will bear the mark of my mate. I’m over the moon! We pulled back from each other, laving our wounds clean.. with our tongues. Then, she passed out!

I yelled for the Doc and her grandmother said “She’s fine! She doesn’t need a doctor! Her wolf is rousing! She should waken in a half hour or so.. then she will shift!” I asked her how she knows and she said it happened to Arwyn and is probably written about in a journal!

I sat… laying Shaelin’s head in my lap. Artemis says 🐺 I can feel her.. she’s talking..but she is going through Shaelin’s memories so she’s up to speed. It’s why Shaelin passed out I ask 🐺 What’s her name? 🐺 She is her mother’s wolf.. it is Esterlin..reborn on the night Arwyn died I gasped.

I looked at Malcolm and Nimue to step closer and they sat on the ground in front of me, and I told them “Artemis has told me that Shaelin’s wolf is reincarnated.. She was born the night your daughter died.. Arwyn not only gave Shaelin her powers.. she gave her her wolf! Her wolf Esterlin!”

They broke down in tears…. Malcolm asked “Would it be alright if we allowed Marcus and Neve out to meet their pup when she shifts?” I told him absolutely… they could and they can shift as soon as she starts to shift. It will help Esterlin come forth quicker.

Shaelin started wiggling and saying she was hot. I unfastened the back of her dress. I dismissed everyone to go inside.. it is a party! Once the garden was empty.. we undressed her completely and let her lay on the cool ground.

When we heard the first bone snap, we stripped and her grandparents shifted. I lay on the ground beside her.. rubbing her back and talking her through it! “Let your wolf guide the way, Love! She knows what to do! She wants to meet her parents. Let Esterlin come forward..she can see them.”

Within minutes, where my petite elfen mate was lying…lay a huge silver wolf with eyes so blue they glowed. I immediately shifted and Artemis started licking her muzzle to rouse her. She stood, her legs wobbled a bit.. She bussed his head.. then turned to Marcus and Neve. I could tell they were mindlinking so I took the time to admire my mate!

She was big! I don’t mean Oh she’s big for a she-wolf… I mean, BIG, she stands just an inch or two beneath me. An Alpha wolf through and through! She’s stout! Solid muscle! Where my fur is pure white.. hers is pure silver. She literally gleams in the moonlight! Absolutely stunning! And she’s all mine!

I watch the three of them bounce and frolic, and it dawns on me.. they weren’t with Arwyn when she shifted the first time. They are only meeting Esterlin just now! Wow! What must it feel like to meet your granddaughter’s wolf knowing her spirit is your daughter. Mind….blown.

I turn and check our surroundings, making sure all is well. I catch a glimpse of Andrew and Gavin.. I link Gavin what Artemis told me..and to relay it to Andrew, so he can come greet his sister. Within minutes, Andrew and Babs were stripping in the garden. They shifted into their wolves.. and Asmo, his wolf, inched slowly toward Esterlin.. recognizing her for the Alpha she is.

She spotted him and ran straight for him. My heart leaped in my throat.. thinking she’d attacked.. but she reached him and wrapped her neck around his.. in a loving hug. She just held him for several minutes…like she knew he needed it. Or maybe, she did!

I watched them frolic and bounce around each other. I’m jealous.. but not resentful. They have only just met… while I have her for eternity! This time.. this first shift together… is about Shaelin.. it should be with her family! My time is coming.

I link Gavin to tell the pack to get ready to run! We still have to celebrate our Luna with a pack run! I walk over to Shaelin and her family.. she licks my muzzle..and a sweet voice says 🐺 How’s about we howl and start this run? I nodded and we lifted our heads in song! Within seconds, the pack answered!

We ran the pack lands for close to two hours. Esterlin was a giant puppy. She explored everything..sniffed everything… chased moths. So, two hours later… we are sitting down to eat.

Shaelin is animated and can barely sit still. I can’t remember being this ecstatic when I got Artemis. 🐺 Because you’re a dick! I shift into this magnificent white beast and you were like “Meh! There’s my wolf”. And I nearly choked on my drink! Tell me how you really feel, Art! Damn!

We finally got to dance awhile… Every time I would lead her to the floor.. somebody stopped us to talk. Shaelin talks right back. She’s already a good Luna.. but damnit! Can I have her for just five minutes, right now? But… we made it! She’s in my arms, and she’s smiling up at me. All’s right in my world!
